Even though this is a drum channel, props to MEINL for giving Jason as much camera time as Luke, the guitars are fucking insane on this and every other song. Cheers!
5:53, you've gotta commend Luke for being able to play that double bit as cleanly as he did. I was wondering how that was going to go down, but I never should have doubted.
The funny thing is that when they did it live on Meinl Facebook page, Luke failed to play that double clean haha. Nonetheless this shit is so fucking hard, so mad props to Luke anyways
yes this isnt the live audio because i seen the first vid of this and it was alot more "sloppy" but who cares the writing is insane and i really wouldnt expect them to play clean.
This is one of those where metal stops being about senseless speed and bashing and brings the full potential. Only possible thanks to the extremely talented musicians.
Luke, I use to drum on the regular when I was a teenager. I haven't touched a kit in over 15 years. I joined the military shortly after I turned 18, so I naturally didn't have the time. I have been out now for about three years and have been fighting some injuries. I have recently come across your incredible talent. You have given me the passion to want to pick up the sticks again. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world. It may sound weird, but I find your abilities very calming and therapeutic. Others can relate, I'm sure. Anyways, thanks again. Take care.
When I was looking for Jason Richardson on the youtube search bar, I use to end up finding some basketball guy... Now the guitarist appears at the first results and i'm glad he get the fame he deserves.
HEY FELLAS, IM NEW TO THESE YOUNG MEN AND I WOULD SAY " THANK GOD " THESE KIDS ARE FANTASTIC, VERY TALENTED!! JASON IS A BEAST OF A PLAYER!! AND LUKE IS TREMENDOUS!! IM 54 AND PLAY LEAD GUITAR FOR 40 YEARS, SO I APPRECIATE GREAT MUSIC, AND THESE YOUNG MEN HAVE IT ALL!! THKS FOR THE UP-LOAD!! GREAT STUFF!!
Every fan of Luke Holland needs to keep him in your prayers. He has gran mol seizures and just recently had one that ended with him gashing his eyebrow open from falling. So let's all pray that these seizures go away for good so we can enjoy his talent for as long as possible. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I think what you witnessed during that time was pure excellence LOL. My god his doubles are freaking insane and so powerful on that snare. He's such an awesome drummer.
Wow, again, after I’ve watched this over and over since December 2019! As a drummer, I am fascinated by Your drum style Luke and what rhymes you pick for each part of whatever you’re playing. My drumming gets better every day because of the things I pick up from listening to you drum! Keep doing what your doing Luke!
Luke Holland is just too much!!! I just can’t find a way to describe how inadequate I feel as a human being every time I hear him play. He is the epítome of what it is to excel at what you do.
From what I've read about Buddy ,he would turn his nose up at first listen. And then make some snide remark like this. If it ain't jazz or something I can dance to then it ain't music. I think John would be like "where's the funk brotha " in a British accent. But he would appreciate the musicianship. I think Gene would say this is what drumming has progressed into. Impressive!!!
I'm a drummer, but would it be fair to say that I've never seen anyone play these scales before? It just seems like the finger positioning and movement is different from what I've seen in the past. Truly, amazing guitarist.
I couldn't believe when this came out that we were worthy enough to hear something so mindblowing, now being able to see both of them playing it? I'm proud to say I am a spoiled fan ^^
You two are the definition of shredding masters. This is absolutely ridiculous....had to walk out of the room after seeing the fill at 3:05, then rewatched the video 3 times haha Luke you're the man, that traditional grip thooough!!!
This was recorded in Studio A at Blackbird Studios in Nashville. I am interning there now and it is crazy to be walking around where this was recorded. Incredible Production!
Holy shit... That was intense! These two guys, are quickly becoming my favorite musicians. Just for the learning factor ALONE! Not to even get started the gross amounts of raw talent that they display... Damn... That was awesome! Thank you!
this is not fair. hes so good. its like he has some super brain that can let him access all these different techniques and tunes. one of the best writers in my opinion. i know that all he does is play guitar but being this good? jesus! amazing. and luke, insane drummer. perfect with jason.
I've watched this video like 30 times, absolutely love it, however I was too high this time and was super fixated on how wild the wires are all over the place when it's Overhead Luke view lol.
I know Luke is living his dream traveling, playing with other bands recording badass tracks like this. That's probably why he moved on TWA the freedom. I love his style and precision. I really want him get in a band and stay there. He recorded the studio tracks for Starsets album Divisions. I would love for him to play for someone like that or better.
I realise this is Luke's limelight but I have to say that as a classical guitarist and also a very enthusiastic electric player Jason's posture is next to none, if you have never tried it then give it a go, it gives you so much more versatility as a technical player 🤘
Even though this is a drum channel, props to MEINL for giving Jason as much camera time as Luke, the guitars are fucking insane on this and every other song. Cheers!
it's kinda neat that Jason has the right sleeve tat and Luke has the left sleeve
Peyton Wilson was just thinking that
Peyton Wilson fusion, HA!
And combined they create Jason Holland, a divine entity
That would be one epic boss battle.
C4rc455 Lukeson Hollanson
its so tight they even exhaled in sync 6:46
GOD DAMMIT! I WENT BACK TO CHECK IT, AND IT'S FCKN TRUTH. THEY WERE IN SYNC.
They're robots in human skin.
Thats one of my favourite bits of the video. Amazing shit!
How the f did you catch that? Hahah
I think they noticed it too by the way the smiles at each other
This is absolutely ridiculous. I love it so much.
Matias Bragadini Well I'm sure it was quantized, everything is.
Same studio but another gig. (They wore different clothes)
Thought it was weird how they picked the angle that doesn't show the pedals at all... seems unlikely that he's actually doing it IMO haha.
yes this isnt the live audio because i seen the first vid of this and it was alot more "sloppy" but who cares the writing is insane and i really wouldnt expect them to play clean.
This is one of those where metal stops being about senseless speed and bashing and brings the full potential. Only possible thanks to the extremely talented musicians.
@@JimBobDewayne your ears suck.
Two super talented musician in just one room makes it a perfect song.
Luke, I use to drum on the regular when I was a teenager. I haven't touched a kit in over 15 years. I joined the military shortly after I turned 18, so I naturally didn't have the time. Appreciate that Luke.
Now that Luke left TWA (all the respect to the band) I'd like to see him play more stuff like this, even start a new band!
They are going to play this live actually haha

Theres no date even close to Portugal hahahaha rip
When I was looking for Jason Richardson on the youtube search bar, I use to end up finding some basketball guy... Now the guitarist appears at the first results and i'm glad he get the fame he deserves.
6:48
That little head shake just says "Why do I write hard shit like this"
that's how you play that ebmm majesty. such a bad ass guitar and player.
and by the way how can this have that many dislikes.
James Melton cuz Jason's got better ink than beiber and people can't take it
Adam MacDonald yep ink like that demands a tank top. get with it luke. haha
damn straight.
Jason live performances are always perfect. No sloppy / missed notes , nothing. He also nailed the Rick Graham guest solo.
I came for Luke but I cannot stop staring at Jason’s tats… they are awesome. Same with the playing
I hope these two start a band. Always loved the work of both of them and they seem to be a perfect fit
I mean they're touring together playing songs from "I", so I guess they're kind of a group now.
Jason Richardson is Guitar Pro: Human version.
HEY FELLAS, IM NEW TO THESE YOUNG MEN AND I WOULD SAY " THANK GOD " THESE KIDS ARE FANTASTIC, VERY TALENTED!! JASON IS A BEAST OF A PLAYER!! AND LUKE IS TREMENDOUS!! So much talent it hurts
HAHAHA I like how it goes straight into that little bookstore music section at 3:55

6:24 - 6:34, what on earth did I just witness. Jesus christ Luke, lol.
Exactly! Normally I can kinda sorta keep track of what he is doing but when he did that I was just like pfft mind blown
SirosVaziriDrums
He's doing doubles on the snare man :)
I was watching this thinking "this would be a fun one to cover" and then I saw your comment and skipped ahead and said "fuck that".
I think what you witnessed during that time was pure excellence LOL. My god his doubles are freaking insane and so powerful on that snare. He's such an awesome drummer.
If you combine them, you have a full body's worth of tattoos.
Seriously though, this is incredible.
The fusion between Jason at guitar and Holland at the drums, It's amazing ! The whole album is such a master piece !!!
That fucking mixing is INSANE! The drums sound beastly OMG.
3:40 best riff
born of osiris esq
That syncopated drum fill at 6:28 makes this entire song.
That look at 6:46 like "who the fuck wrote this... oh right it was me... sorry bro"
i missed my train stop because of this lol

3:00-3:12 is the most Luke Holland thing I've ever heard lol
Luke Holland is just too much!!! I just can’t find a way to describe how inadequate I feel as a human being every time I hear him play. He is the epítome of what it is to excel at what you do.
A Masterpiece. I have been watching this over and over since yesterday.
This is absolute insanity from both of them! Watching stuff like this never gets old for me
This is pure madness man. Extremely powerful riff at the end. Just can't stop listening to it.
this is some of the most insane shredding i've ever heard. Jason and Luke are absolute machines!!
Amazing .....absolutely fantastic!!!
Best Solo & Ensemble performance I've ever heard.
I'm so F - word happy that you guys make music together 'pure magic'
I would love to show Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa and Jon Bonham this drummer to see how this instrument continues evolving. So cool.
I truly hope that the two of you tour together, and bring along the special guests (Lukas, Spencer, Mark, etc.)!
Crazy talented people amazing !
I'm a drummer, but would it be fair to say that I've never seen anyone play these scales before? It just seems like the finger positioning and movement is different from what I've seen in the past. Truly, amazing guitarist.
These two are literally the best duo ever...
Fricken brilliance in one video
Waking up in the morning... and THIS is EXACTLY how the day starts for me! Love from India!
I couldn't believe when this came out that we were worthy enough to hear something so mindblowing, now being able to see both of them playing it? I'm proud to say I am a spoiled fan ^^
The future of Drums and Guitar are in good hands with these two. Keep up the great work fellas. Keep inspiring
These guys put new standards in technical abilities. Everything is perfect.
Completely mind blowing....as usual from these guys...musically and compositionally astounding!
Whenever I start feeling good about my playing on drums I just come watch this...
You two are the definition of shredding masters. This is absolutely ridiculous....had to walk out of the room after seeing the fill at 3:05, then rewatched the video 3 times haha Luke you're the man, that traditional grip thooough!!!
It's like these two were born to make music together! love it
Nice job Meinl, all the artist I like are using your brand these days. If I ever get back into drumming I'll be checking you out.
That look at the end knowing they are two of the best! Killed it
That elegant switch to the traditional grip always gets me
hope Luke will join Jason in a live setting like a tour :D
Jesus Christ… this is sick! Awesome 👏🏻 Thank you
Luke, this is what I call a phenomenal performance. Hats off to u!

This video has made me a fan of Luke.
By far my favourite cymbals from Meinl.
So fresh.. This is epic!
Good Lord......... Personal feel the best guitarist and drummer combo out there right now...
This is just UNBELIEVABLE!!
This was recorded in Studio A at Blackbird Studios in Nashville. I am interning there now and it is crazy to be walking around where this was recorded. Incredible Production!
Blackbird Studio A! I love that room!
KILLER...And those cymbals are purty af
Holy shit... That was intense! These two guys, are quickly becoming my favorite musicians. Just for the learning factor ALONE! Not to even get started the gross amounts of raw talent that they display... Damn... That was awesome! Thank you!
I'm honestly at a loss for words. That was astonishing...
I fucking loooooove those arpeggios Jason plays at 3:40 after the hoedown section, it sounds super outer-spacey. So sick 🤘🏻🤘🏻
this is not fair. hes so good. its like he has some super brain that can let him access all these different techniques and tunes. one of the best writers in my opinion. i know that all he does is play guitar but being this good? jesus! amazing. and luke, insane drummer. perfect with jason.
Absolute beast mode both of you!!
Very technical fast and melodic!! Professional young people )))
It has to feel amazing to perform on that level with your friend
I'm speechless. Omg, it's so hard to find inspiration on youtube and this just blew me away. The most inspirational video I've seen 😮😜😍😳😵

Sick-o-saurus. Rock has turned to gold in these recent years. 🤘🏾
Everyone is so clean oh god
Excellent!
1:59 - 2:30 was the best part,
Jason and Luke are a bad ass duo
It seems like Jason's guitar changes color depending on his level of shred
I've watched this video like 30 times, absolutely love it, however I was too high this time and was super fixated on how wild the wires are all over the place when it's Overhead Luke view lol.
5:34 lol
I know Luke is living his dream traveling, playing with other bands recording badass tracks like this. That's probably why he moved on TWA the freedom. I love his style and precision. I really want him get in a band and stay there. He recorded the studio tracks for Starsets album Divisions. I would love for him to play for someone like that or better.

So precise....this is crazy!
I remember watching Luke Holland play august burns red covers on cracked cymbals doing sticks tricks back in ‘07. I guess that makes me an OG
I realise this is Luke's limelight but I have to say that as a classical guitarist and also a very enthusiastic electric player Jason's posture is next to none, if you have never tried it then give it a go, it gives you so much more versatility as a technical player 🤘
Hell yeah! That was awesome and I agree with more stuff like this.
Oh my God !!! Mind blown !!
I think I may actually be smarter for listening to that.
Seth Parr listen to Sentinels and The Dali Thundering Concept and your IQ should raise almost 200 score!
