@@Tobs1313 how did ETS2 aged badly? Are u on drugs or u really love ATS and hate ETS2?🤣 There is always room for improvement but come on. Dont be hater.
11. New lines to AI. In traffic jam is easy to see they are identical. With this random speed to traffic AI. For example first truck can go 82 km/h and second one 77km/h. And maybe custom trucks in traffic?
This is a good suggestion, but we can only dream about these things, according to me SCS Software does not pay much attention to people who make suggestions.
I though AI are sripted to drive on different speed,at least in my game,I can see some AI driver being more agreesive and can overtake you while some are rather chill.I will agree on custom trucks and they should at least be added in the game but with a certain paint jobs. Also for some reason in my game all the AI trucks has tralier on them and there is not a single one with cab only.I remember that last time about 7 years ago I can clearly see some AI truck without tralier.I dont think SCS would remove such a great feature.I will be dissapointed if they really did or is It just a bug?Despite how much I love the game there are some horrible things SCS did such as making the pedestrian less detail.Pedestrian has many variety of clothing before but now most of the pedestrian seems to always wear the same boring blue colour plain clothes and majority just lacks detail(Yess there is pedestrian in the game).
I reckon for when you are first starting you account....you should be able to buy second hand trucks, that have a few kms already on them and maybe a bit of damage for realism. Would give a cheaper way to get some better trucks as well.
In GTS and UKTS, you used to be able to do this, also you started as a driver for 1 of 3 companies of your choosing, with differing pay rates. None of this "quick job" weirdness. I'd love if they brought those 2 features back.
Along with a bit of dmg would be awsome a "higher chance of slowly damaging during driving" as a sight of wear and tear so you would in the end be "forced" of encouraged to buy a brand new truck simply to fix it less often
I reaaaaaaally want Rigid trucks and that for YEARS. Also getting out of your truck and driving different loads at the same time would make for an awesome update. Thanks for your video Milan!
@@ThePhilBilly Considering it's probably one of, if not the most requested feature for years it's mind-blowing they've not added it considering rigid trucks are a massive part of trucking but hey, why add stuff to the game when they can just focus 90% on DLC and the other 10% on useless shit. Either SCS have sacked most of its staff and only have mappers left or they're working on another game.
@@robokun6676, scs is sort of working on another game, to be precise, ETS3/ATS2, but not directly yet. They are making their own game engine to allow for easier development and more options, while being capable of DX12+ and making full use of graphics cards. They mentioned it in passing several years ago, and I would guess that is far enough along that they are now making in game assets for the next games
There are some mods for rigid/tandem trucks. Search for "tandem" on steam workshop. However the one I use causes the truck to wave, it's like riding on square tyres above 120kph. Still they are quite useful if you like cruising at 75
@Balto the Wolf, yeah, I don't think it will be for at least 3 or 4 more years before they start talking about the next games, but they seemed to have bulked up with modelers, and the pace has only slightly picked up on DLCs, which tells me they might be working on the early assets for the next games. I would guess they would want to launch the next games to basically pick up where the current games would be at with DLC. Which could mean ATS making it to the Mississippi, then switching to ATS 2 for the eastern half of the USA
Things i want: -Ability to see employee trucks on the road -New/improved weather -Different traffic speeds including trucks/heavier trucks go slower than normal and lighter trucks go faster. -Being able to hook your truck with your friends trailer -being able to sit on your friends passenger seat -visible dirt/damage on vehicles depending on the road/weather conditions-and with the dirt to include carwashes -Police responding to emergencies while going FAST -i also agree with the rest in the video. //it would be nice too to be able to be hauled behind a trailer by a friend.
I’d love a ride along mode where you could sit in the passenger seat of an employee job and just relax and watch, should be easy ets2 already knows what employee looks like, what truck they drive and their route. Just use A1 rules to drive it.
Once I tried to pass one of my employees in ATS or he should be in the uncoming traffic (I was looking for they route via the truck & trailer menu) but they wasn't there!
I was thinking that same thing but for Convoy - that (at least as host) you could jump into shotgun to watch what the other players are doing... would be a great feature for those that do streaming of their games on youtube and twitch
Really? trucking is a challenge. Although being called a simulator, driving in ETS2 and ATS is far from being hard and you still need assist on driving?
@@n3wmgmt118, i agree, but the most of the modern trucks in ETS are having at least adaptive cruise in irl. Driving assists - are just one of much other details i remembered, that would improve the driving experience. Because you know, todays all the trucks in game are so boring and same except interior/exterior. It would be cool if they added for example some famous Volvo safety systems to FH16, that wouldn't be in other older trucks. That would add some uniqueness to it. A feature, that other doesn't have, like new mirrorless DAF. Sorry if my bad english, but i hope you understand what i tried to say.
Aside from everything in the video I myself have two features I always have wanted. Wind and variable wind speed that pushes the truck around a little and a graphics setting that makes the curtainsiders curtains flutter in the wind especially when driving fast. This would probably not be hard to implement since they already have flags with these wind physics.
Want I want to see for both 1. I want to see players being required to back in to the dock and bump it 2. Being able to walk around your truck and connect your airlines or pull your fifth wheel to release your trailer 3. Power/Chassis flex? 4. Winter :) 5. A.I Rework (honestly long overdue) 6. Recovery/Tow trucks
@@f104g2 simply go on your euro truck workshop and do the same thing you do when downloading a mod from the workshop….but type ‘weather’, and they show all the weather mods👌👌…if not then reply again and I’ll show you another way
Another feature that you can go to a company and instead of taking one job, you can take multiple and possibly deliver to either multiple locations that are all near each other or just do multiple jobs straight after each other sort of like a massive tour and get paid a bonus for doing them or so that when you have a trailer you could load the trailer 40% full of one companies items and maybe 60% of another company's that both want to get the cargo delivered to the same city and you could possibly earn more by mixing different companies requests
...like some sort of dedicated contract run. multiple loads between two locations...they could call it something like special contracts dlc, or something...
They could also add in the old recurring jobs 18 WoS Hard Truck had. Where you can do the same job over at the same time and destination every week. Or you could get your drivers to do them while yo keep doing the adhoc ones.
Having dirty vehicles in the game would be amazing. And to make it simpler for SCS, set all of the truck washes at owned/upgraded garages, therefore there will be no interference with the original created map. It would also be nice if you could set it as an option whether you'd like to turn this mechanic on or off. I can already see myself using windscreen wipers to wipe a fly off my windshield.
Yeah it's insane and by now, I feel like it's literally the worst part of the game... You're standing a centimeter behind the line, no chance for them. Or if you already accelerate and wait for them to pass by, they brake and stand in the way. I guess you know the troubles
@@atomzist Agree. I think the AI should have multiple "personas" Aggressive, fearful, social and anti-social drivers who let you or don't let you in when there is traffic and stuff...
I'd also love to have driveable and fuctional vans. Y'know, It would be cool to begin with some van like Mercedes Splinter or Renault Master or something like that, then get enough money to buy that rigid chasis and then buy a normal truck.
Another, a better paint editor where players can make custom shapes and patterns as well as add text with various fonts. As someone who doesn't have the skill of modding I'd really like to have my virtual company's name on my trucks & trailers.
@@DGAF_AK87 If that were true they wouldn't let you do it at all. The way you can do it is more advanced than some shapes too, you can import images into it. So if they put the editor in game, I'd like it's functionalities remain the same.
I would love to see emergency vehicles responding, using the principles of Special Transport missions, when the escort van forces traffic to pull over. Why not to do the same with ambulances, just in higher speed.
I would like to see a few things in addition to what was mentioned in the video: -Narrow streets: There should be more narrow and for example also parked streets. Currently, almost all the streets through which you drive are completely without challenge such as parked cars, construction sites, fire or police operations. Furthermore, streets with potholes and damage would be cool. -Better traffic jams: Traffic jams that sometimes last a bit, a rescue lane through which, for example, police vehicles drive in an accident. -Interactive cockpit and trucks: Things like opening/closing doors, navigation and so on can be operated with the mouse. When getting out, for example, the cables/hoses can be disconnected with the mouse, the trailer brake can be operated with the mouse and the supports can be interactively extended and retracted. -The truck can be loaded and unloaded manually and the gate of the ramp can be opened and closed. -Smaller things that I would still like to see: -Pedestrians walking across crosswalks and traffic lights. -The distance is displayed in the navi, the navi is switchable. So far, the distance is only displayed in the overlay, if you play without this you do not know how far you still have to go. -Used truck dealer: There you can buy trucks with more km, damage and dirt. -Realistic rest times.
My No.1 is actualy the Rigid Chassis and visible Employee (Doesnt need to be 100% cuz most of us have tons of employee) and the engine sounds rework.. I also wanted that but i want Rigid chassis and visible employee so bad...
Real Police Sirens of each country in europe would be nice. It's kinda odd when you hear in europe all the same US Siren, since they added that mechanic from ATS. Also emergency vehicles (Police, Ambulance, Fire Trucks) passing you on the highway/autobahn/streets with sirens/lights on (like a random event). What I would love too is when you pick up cargo with your own trailer, that actually a forklift with driver loads a crate in your open trailer. So basicly more life in general in the game (that means more pedestrians too).
Было бы круто, если ты едешь по автобану, а рядом проезжает полиция/пожарная/скорая с включенными мигалками. И весь трафик освобождает полосу для проезда скорым службам!
first they should nerf these fuckers. They can see you speeding when being behind another car or being in a fucking different tunnel and still catch your ass. It's annoying af
I wish and want also a "Trailers customisation" DLC. It would be so cool if you tune your Trailer with specific things. Also a feature that must advanced the Traffic AI to enable "emergency siren respond". Imagine you are in germany and in a Traffic Jam a Ambulance comes trough the emergency line...
They should add a trailer customisation DLC because all the mods i have found replace some of the original SCS parts and not with something better and about the advanced AI is something that they should have done already years ago. I remember till 1.32 if you blocked the lane the wanted to go, they would go straight into you but atleast they fixed *only* that
@@AssettoRacerGR i found a trailer mod in the workshop of steam: "SCS TRAILER TUNING PACK : v1.8.5.1" but the best is only lighst and not all trailers get this to work, the standard trailers can handle the mod. But its not the best alternative.
I agree all of them, except the Maniac AI one. Addition from me are: - Reworking Port and Tunnel who connected UK and Mainland Europe with addition Immigration check and Weight check. - Used Truck Dealers, suitable for starting career, for assets using old small truck at ETS 2. - You cannot access Autopass/Telepass or similar gate without device called Viatoll or something like that, and you can buy it from accessories interior tab. - More expansion map, especially covering Micro-state like Liechtenstein, San Marino, Monaco, and Andorra.
There was this truck sim called 18 Wheels of Steel, released back in 2005 or something. It was my first ever simulator game. It had really good features that is missing from ETS 2 like: - You can communicate with other AI drivers asking them about the weather, traffic conditions, any cops etc. - You can see your employees on the road. They will horn at you as acknowledgement. - A police car will actually chase you down if you break the rules. You have to pull over otherwise your fine will be heavier. - Weather seasons. After playing for about 3 days in-game time, snowy weather will start. - Trucks and trailers will deform when damage
A couple more ideas I have: Adaptive headlights: Where the beams are angled into the the direction of a turn, and to turn off portion of highbeams for oncoming cars like with Volvo's Adaptive Highbeam. -this adds some smaller details to the game and improves immersion Team Driving: Where you could assign a second driver to your truck and they could drive a portion of the route whilst you are asleep. Their distance travelled, fuel usage, and truck-wear can be impacted by their individual stats. The delivery would take much less time but would also subtract their wages from the job (this would be most effectively used for urgent deliveries). This will also allow you to sleep anytime, anywhere, not just at a truck stop. -adds a new element to gameplay and additional options for efficiency.
I would love it if they would add fully working cabins. Imagine using all the features a truck could actually do. Also opening and closing storage compartments and what not. That would take this game to a whole other level imo.
There would be no reason for that, theres nothing to put there and most players just drive they dont look at the details and say i wish that could open like your going to wtorek something there nor is It useless you would never need it and you would never look at it while driving like its some sort of interesting object
Shenmue, the trucker years. But yeah other simulators have a fair few buttons and switches in them. Especially in Train Sim where you NEED to press them, all in correct order or the train won't move, or you stall it and screw up the journey. ETS/ATS could do something similar to that, maybe even enable you to move the mirrors this way instead of in the menus. Same for the radio.
An unloading sequence where you can watch a slightly speeded up version of a forklift driver unloading/loading you either through the rear doors or the curtain pulled back - also being able to see into the warehouses when pulling into a collection or drop off point to see people, forklifts and the internal warehouse with pallets, racking etc
As a truck driver myself, make it more realistic: play a youtube video while loading/unloading the truck. The vast majority of loading/unloading points mandate the driver stays in the cab during operations.
I remember SCSs older truck game I think 18 Wheels Of Steel Convoy, allowed you to see your driver's on the road in their trucks, and you were able to honk your horn at them, and they'd honk back. Or you call them over the radio. Man I wish these newer games had those
There's a very good reason why there's no damage model in ETS, it's the same reason why Gran Turismo has never had a damage model in all these years. Vehicle manufacturers won't enjoy seeing their brands being smashed to bits and looking rather shoddy, so in order for ETS to keep their licensing from the various manufacturers, we probably won't be seeing visible damage anytime soon.
A couple cool features I think they should add include having cars from other countries wherever you're driving in. Like for example you're driving in Germany but some of the cars have Dutch Plates, Spanish Plates, Russian Plates, etc. They should also either let you add text to your trailer or add signs to your truck and trailer (like that one mod)
If SCS adds season, they'll have rework their Europe, trucks, AI traffic and all the assets to be compatible with different seasons. Also SCS would've add shorter daylights for Winter and clock automatically set to an hour back. just like during Winter time in real life.
Seasons would be great. There is a winter mod but then everything is white. Even in Spain or Mexico. I would like ti see snow in winter say above 600 meter or on mountain roads.
Funny thing is that those feature that you mention were in 18 wos series but we cant blame them since back then the game has lower ram usage.ETS 2 runs more detail in the game such as more detail maps and trucks.Maybe SCS dont want to add those feature for purpose so that the 18 wos playerbase will increase again?
I’d want more options to manage a company. Custom garages, distribution centres, trucks etc... I have a pretty big company (~30 offices, around 150 trucks & employees) and I see a huge demand in some specific cities such as Gothenburg 🇸🇪, Zürich🇨🇭, Paris🇫🇷, Berlin🇩🇪 and Malmo🇸🇪 so I’d like to be able to build bigger distribution centres-ish in those cities. Would be cool!
The most important thing for me is realistic engine sound, of course other things are good, but the sound should take precedence over everything else. SCS Software should think a little if they want to keep people who like this game.
@@Xegethra Yeah, not everyone cares, but that is a definitive minority, who should not be catered. Besides, they've named it simulator, thus they should try to simulate something, in this case, trucks. The base game sounds are atrocious, i've heard better ones in flash games.
@@samulivainionpaa9338 Yet I hear very little about the sounds on the forums, both official and Steam. I can't be in all the threads I know, but the most I see is people wanting more to do. The sounds are terrible, they should be changed but I don't see that happening anytime soon considering they already had a sound update not too long ago. Seems they want to work on the game more than the sound of it. I know the whole majority and minority thing, but devs have to priorities as well. For better or worse.
Biggest thing i think needs to be added is the ability to customize trucks with your own logos & text. Similar to how Forza does it. I Usually just run all my trucks with the same colour scheme but would love to have "Evans Haulage" or something along those lines just to make it that bit more immersive :)
For me the most wanted is working tachograph, real work time 4,5 + 0,5 break + 4,5 + 11, partial load, whe i can get small loads from diffrent companies at one time. I like "on the road" but truck physic and driving is no good for me.
Features I want: dirty trucks you can wash, be able to open back doors to see your load, bumpy roads with better sounds, sounds with air brakes, better AI cars and trucks. Trucks with company logos on it.
The most important thing for me is realistic engine sound. Definitely SCS Software should do it if they want to keep people who like this game + 1. Personally, I play this game because of the modified engine sound mods, these mods if they were not just I would leave this game for sure. The sounds of the engines that SCS Software put into this game are unrealistic to say the least.
My most wanted features are: 1) Used/pre-owned truck market place: i mean it should've been on the first version of the game IMO but I am okay to wait for it. 2) Ability to place company Logo and colour scheme on employee trucks. 3) Contracts with major companies in the game.
I think a cutscene is enough for me, but more cutscenes in general would be nice. I'd rather have that than some half baked janky my summer car like mini game.
For realism, truckers don't load their trucks with a forklift. I do, if they load their own truck I bring it from staging and drop it right in front and they use a pallet jack to get it on. If its a full truck I load it myself. But companies don't want to let people they don't employ run their equipment. But as a forklift driver I agree I want forklift sim so badly
I'd like when I level up, I gain mechanical abilities to fix certain things on my truck so I can get out and repair engine damages at least to a certain amount to keep moving. Maybe even hire a mechanic to call him, cheaper than transporting the truck back home.
One thing I frequently miss in ETS2 and in ATS is that CB Radio. A long time ago, back in 18 Wheels of steel Across America, you could communicate with other truck drivers. You could ask them things, they ask things back, it was fun, realistic and engaging. It might not be a thing used in modern Europe anymore, yet it's still frequently used in Australia, Canada, USA and a few other countries with big open, sometimes dangerous routes. This would fit also well into the recent addition of multiplayer. Questions about traffic flow, current weather, police speedtraps/radar, roadworks and emergency recovery calls. If SCS would ever consider making an Australian Outback map, these features would be kind of mandatory. It would fit in the game for sure.
1) Rigid trucks 2) Air pressure control at gas/petrol stations 3)meal pauses, again at gas stations or add another type of building. Could be every 4 or 5 hours, half of sleeping breaks 4)Tow trucks: flatbed and hook and chain like another special cargo job
The damage and dirt will probably never make it into the game, licensing issues / restrictions. I can realistically see the opening of trailer doors and the ability to walk around come true sooner than later. I'd personally love the ability to create a company logo and put it on your truck, like a real company would.
dirt might go, damage is very hard to get agreements on (even for big Gran Turismo-game). walk around to open curtain, doors, hitch/unhitch,... would be great addition.
@@tylerlinn6694The truck manufacturers usually don’t want games to display their trucks dirty or damaged, because they’re worried about their brand image.
@@wings4passion but in actual racing games this feature is present, like Forza horizon, even NFS Most Wanted 2012 have this dirt system, ETS2 have car manufacturers too (Renault, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Scania from VW...) I guess this damage system depends more of SCS's will
dust and dirt should absolutely be possible through masking like in farming simulator. Walking around would indeed be great, certainly if the player has to go to offices for papers and work orders for example. Only driving feels quite off, it is fun but more interaction like offices and owned production facilities with products which our own company needs to haul would make it so much more fun. Also container trucks (rigid truck) to place or collect containers would be a nice addition instead of only driving trailers.
One thing that I would love to have is to be able to walk around on foot in TMP because It would be better on fuel stations, an when you stop for resting you could roam around the truck and have a walk around the parking area, hang with other truckers,… I know it sounds stupid for some but It would be a little more realistic.
6:25 what if u could pick a job and u would be able to drive WITH your Employee what do u guys think about that idea? if u wana drive with other people in Solo mode u could drive with your employees I wana see this to be added to the game
Jeez good video. It would be real cool if ets had an easy way of making your own skins ingame. Or possibly seeing your trucks in your own garage would be cool.
An option to say what your company specialises in would be a nice touch. Like a drop down box and you can specify if you want to specialise in like construction etc. Another thing would be random failures, like a trailer blowout, or reefer unit malfunction. Plus, they should let us do the walk around safety checks before setting out with a load
I believe the season changes is inevitable if they want to expand map to places like Russia or even far norther than what is possible at the moment. Also 100% agree on rigid chassis trucks - the earlier Hard Truck games, which can be considered the pioneer of this genre of games had rigid trucks back in the day With that said I think visible damage is very unlikely since real-life manufacturers typically won't like their products represented in a derogated state
I suggested this on the SCS forum but got no response at all. It could work quite well, you could have the tachograph in addition to the tiredness and a hunger and toilet requirement with food and drink products which modify the different status bars. It would make it more "gamey" in terms of time management.
So ein Video muss sofort an SCS. Sehr gute Arbeit und super Punkte die dieses Video zeigt!!! Für mich wäre es super seine eigenen LKW‘s auf der Straße zu sehen!
I still look forward to the front fog lamp, rear fog lamp configuration, roof auxiliary lamp, front auxiliary lamp, side auxiliary lamp, and reversing auxiliary lamp.
Another great idea is something that the previous SCS titles had for example, I don't remember what game it was, but when you blew your clack, another random AI truck would wave back at you by honking its horns. It was something so simple but it was a pleasure to do, also the option of asking drivers for radio directions as was done in HAULIN. Also to be able to see on the map the weather or the rain on the map, to know in which areas of the map it is raining or even on the map we could also see which roads were closed due to accidents. are some ideas that if re-implemented would give the simulator more immersion.
-See Employees on the road, and entering/ exiting the headquarters -Rigid Chassis (with twin steering axles at the front) -Let me Raise and lower my suspension PLEASE -have a chance based system for load movement (similar to detours), so like in a curtainsider every now and then you will have freight bulge out of the side. Would work well with logs/pipes as well - more personalized lighting would be awesome (colours other than white and orange) -Damage on vehicles would be awesome, including randomize flat tyres and radiator hoses popping off etc.
4:52 also, I would love to be able to open the doors to the truck and pressing (Enter) to sit in the seat or if you want to you could just walk around your cab, make a cup of tea or whatever. I also think they should add a way to have a proper bed and duvet on your bed in the cab and a new sleeping animation.

Here's my list: 1. breaking headlights in collision and random 2. Tire wear 3. need to buy new ones and replace them. 4. Possibility to have a flat 5. Flies and dirt on windscreen. Possibility to have a GPS malfunction and having only a paper map as a backup (a printable A3 would be fine) 6. More tiredness effects: gauges blurring out, visible afterimages of bright lights, cars popping up in midscreen to simulate delayed recognition, being momentarily unable to shigt gears, steer or brake. 7. colliding your truck to write-off condition 8. being able to do some repair work in your garage too 9. a possibility to get burglared while resting 10. possibility to have fire in your trailer or engine bay 11. Slippery alpine roads when wet or icy 12. More traffic in city centres during daytime 13. Needing to learn some phrases in local language like "turn off your engine" and complying. 14. Having all the farms a possible loading or unloading destinations. 15. Ireland 16. Time in police custody after accidents 17. Possibility to have a truck rescua truck and it's jobs 18. Jobs to haul military equipment to Polish-Ukraine border. 19. Morning mist and fog 20. Required delivery time to small businesses like between 6. a.m. and 6 p.m. 21. Long range chartet bus routes with schedules
I really want Rigid Chassis trucks in ETS and ATS. It would also be cool if we could walk around, recieve the orderes, connect the trailers, and open and close our truck doors, storage, bonnet etc.
Yes, I totally agree, that I would like to see all of these in ETS2 and ATS, and I would like to see that if trucks and trailers get dirty, I want the ability to wash them off making them clean again, also would like to see my trucks that are not being driven parked at my garage, also, I would like to have the ability to make my own company logo to have on the side of my truck and trailers
We REALLY WANT AND NEED rigid trucks with Swap bodies now that we also have the turntable trailers. It would be amazing if they will release this feature + the features you mentioned in this awesome video. THANK YOU! Hope the SCS will see this.
I agree with almost everything on that list. What I think is missing is the sleeping. You sleep 9 hours, regardless if the driver is showing as a tiny bit tired or completely tired. The sleeping time should vary. Also, If your truck does not have a bed, you should only be able to sleep and recuperate fully if you are sleeping at a hotel. If you are sleeping at a rest area, there should be a coefficient that does not make you completely rested. And if you truck has a bed, you should be able to sleep anywhere.
I wouldn't mind these for ATS as well. I'd give anything to see seasons and better weather added with a full calendar system. Winter months it can be snowy where it would normally be snowy. That would cause slow downs etc. If a player did like that, they could then drive in places where the climate is warmer. Dirty trucks would be nice as it could add in a new feature (similar to gas stations)...Truck washes. Walk around could be huge. Have an option to attach trailers by getting out, filling up the gas etc. Also agree about engine sounds. I have a single mod that kinda modifies them but I don't notice a huge difference. Most of the best ones I see are for individual trucks or specific engines and I can't be bothered to download a bunch of different ones. Visible damage I'd love but that will 100% never be included. One thing I miss about good old Hard Truck. Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but didn't the 18WoS games (at least Haulin) have your hired drivers visible on the road? Always thought it was weird that wasn't a thing in ETS/ATS. Maniac drivers? Lol I find the drivers in ETS2 horrible as is (with a "realistic traffic mod"). They are constantly crashing into me, never allowing me to merge etc. I wouldn't want it any worse than it is
The thing i would love to see the most is more options for the truck. A nice looking lightbox where you can enter your own text etc. Maybe something like stickers with a skin that you cna place anywhere you want etc. Same goes for your own garage/company.
I mean the maniac drivers are rather realistic to be honest (except the guy reversing on the highway). I'm a trucker & most of these situations are quite normal. From the cars rear ending, to the truck suddenly switching lanes in front of you. What i would love to see is to make the driver do more manual labor. For example: - When hooking up a trailer, you should be able to climb behind your truck and drag the cables to their sockets - When loading up be able to open doors & curtains - check if 5th wheel is properly locked - add load securing! Let the player put his own straps on a load, if you do a bad job securing a load, while u drive & you take a corner to quick, let it give you random % of damage on goods. Put in a random factor when your straps tear, add load theft -add a random factor for small break downs: lightbulbs popping, tire leak & other small stuff truckers are expected to fix on their own. Add in random police cars that give you a fine if you drive with a broken light for example. Add a driving school. Put a tutorial in it that you can use to learn the job. What we check before we leave, what we check when we are done, what to do in certain situations, you could complete it with a maneuvering course, force 1st person camera, and get points. Have a leader board, ... They should also build the cities WAY bigger & have you for example do distribution in a city center like Paris, Brussels, Madrid, Amsterdam, etc. Make a second map where you can play on the same save game or something. The problem is that, even with realism mods / promod, the roads are ALWAYS to big. it's WAY to easy to drive a full truck & trailer combo anywhere. If they would make the streets smaller & increase the difficulty, it would be a lot more fun to play.
The "visible employee trucks" feature was a thing in 18WoS Across America, you could take the same route or intersect routes with the ppl you hired and they would honk at you, they would have the trucks you bought and customized for them
I would like to to see it implemented in both ETS2 and ATS the ability to add/remove oversize load banners and flags via the truck adjustment menu (f7), as opposed to needing to find, then drive tp a repair center, so if ypu decide that your next load is oversize, you can put them on instead of buying and selling them as needed. I would also like to see the garages reworked so that you only have 1 visible bay when you pull into a yard, have the abaility to repair and upgrade at your garages, and to see all trucks and trailers that are stored at a garage parked in the lot, and to possibly select one of them if you are not under a load. Lastly, would like to see a more realistic fuel island at the garages, with a master, and satellite fuel pump, with digital readout, instead of the popup window when fueling.
The ability to detach one trailer at a time (and hook up one trailer at a time). Would also then open up more options for delivery of doubles, requiring you to drop a trailer, park in in a bay, then come back and put the second one next to it. They did it with FarmSim after all.....
I want the ability to haul multiple pieces of the same load and see them all spawn at once. Also the ability to form a company with convoy players and swap trailers, do multi loads like described, and share a garage.
Love the dirty truck idea. As much time players take to make their trucks "pretty", they should have to go through the trouble of keeping it clean. I would also like more maintenance and breakdowns to happen as in real life. I have heard they cannot do that due to manufactures giving their product names to the game. But I have already seen it in other games (snowrunner example) where the truck can get damage and break down.
I would really like to add in the next updates something about mirrors. To make them much more realistic from the point of view of fov. Because at the moment it is not realistic at all for some trucks. For example on Mercedes MP4.
There are some good ideas here but I could thinking on the a little more. For example if the truck could be dirtier time to time there would be good truck washers around the map to clean it. The AI could be more realistic: when you want to drive up to an empty highway and only one car come in the other lane that should go to the inter lane to give place to your drive in. If you would walk around the truck they should allow us to interact with some important parts (f. e. connect the trailer, check the state of your tires, etc.). If we could drink a coffee at fuel stations we could drive more for example 3 hours but after that we have to sleep 3 hours more. It would be useful if you are close to your destination and you need only 2 hours to reach it but you are tired. If you sleep you will late - and pay for that - but if you don't, you get fee for overdriving - and pay for that. There would be good not just see the crashing signs on our truck but if the repairs should need time depends on how your truck is damaged. I play both truck sim with H shifter. It would be good to see how the shifter in the cabin moving when I use my hardware - just like the blinker, the retarder, etc.
In terms of opening the trailer before loading would be nice if you can actually walk around your truck.... This would be great for manually refueling the truck too..Also, would love to see seasons...The TruckersMP feature does have snow....something clearly missing in the base game
I would like to amaze what the dev is doing in 1.4x. They added so amazing feature, I'm looking forward to what the dev announced in the Christmas stream and many more suprise and hopefully the MAN TGX EL3 will come very soon, MAN teased on twitter alot

To be frank here, I think only one of those features mentioned in the video will actually be considered by SCS, let alone that we wanted clickable cockpit buttons like in DCS world. The problem with these features is License limitation, SCS needs to agree what the brand manufacturer has limited them to keep the brand names on their truck. DCS world on the other hand does not need to put the brand on their aircraft modules because most of them do not either represent their real life counterparts let alone the F/A 18C Module. It's very satisfying that these features must be in ETS2 but very sad to say is that most of the features mentioned will remain a "Dream", unless SCS decided to remove the logos on their trucks. Some of you will defend Bus Simulator, in where you can click all the buttons with the logos present. I can be wrong but Bus Simulator had that license agreement which is far different from SCS so that explains alot.
I really hope someone from SCS is watching this! Awesome video... you put inside everything I wanted and some more! 7:14 No maniacs please! SCS AI is maniacal enough for me! lol

This honestly would improve early game so much. The entire loan thing is way too much of an hassle if you don't play the game a lot.
Yeah and a sort off TÜV inspection would be cool
In GTS and UKTS, you used to be able to do this, also you started as a driver for 1 of 3 companies of your choosing, with differing pay rates. None of this "quick job" weirdness. I'd love if they brought those 2 features back.
Little bit late maybe, but there is mod for used trucks in the Steam Workshop
Along with a bit of dmg would be awsome a "higher chance of slowly damaging during driving" as a sight of wear and tear so you would in the end be "forced" of encouraged to buy a brand new truck simply to fix it less often
I reaaaaaaally want Rigid trucks and that for YEARS. Also getting out of your truck and driving different loads at the same time would make for an awesome update. Thanks for your video Milan!
There is rigid mods but the fact SCS haven't added in rigids or wag and drags is insane I think!
Things i want:
-Ability to see employee trucks on the road
-New/improved weather
-Different traffic speeds including trucks/heavier trucks go slower than normal and lighter trucks go faster.
-Being able to hook your truck with your friends trailer
-being able to sit on your friends passenger seat
-visible dirt/damage on vehicles depending on the road/weather conditions-and with the dirt to include carwashes
-Police responding to emergencies while going FAST
-i also agree with the rest in the video.
//it would be nice too to be able to be hauled behind a trailer by a friend.
I would love to see AI going 200 km/h on left lanes of german motorways
Pretty sure they do already, but the map has so many unnatural bends, the AI rarely has a chance to do this.
I’d love a ride along mode where you could sit in the passenger seat of an employee job and just relax and watch, should be easy ets2 already knows what employee looks like, what truck they drive and their route. Just use A1 rules to drive it.
I think players would get bored when sitting on passenger seat and doing nothing but watch.
Once I tried to pass one of my employees in ATS or he should be in the uncoming traffic (I was looking for they route via the truck & trailer menu) but they wasn't there!
But we need no maniac KI drivers, cause they're already maniac. At least in my safegames. I don't know why.
I was thinking that same thing but for Convoy - that (at least as host) you could jump into shotgun to watch what the other players are doing... would be a great feature for those that do streaming of their games on youtube and twitch

Yea once in ATS I was driving in the rain very crazily and I thought what if they added wind to make driving in crazy weather harder.

And pick how much you take so over load make weight up worth it

They could also add in the old recurring jobs 18 WoS Hard Truck had. Where you can do the same job over at the same time and destination every week. Or you could get your drivers to do them while yo keep doing the adhoc ones.

And to make it simpler for SCS, set all of the truck washes at owned/upgraded garages, therefore there will be no interference with the original created map. I would like to see a few things in addition to what was mentioned in the video:
-Narrow streets: There should be more narrow and for example also parked streets.
Currently, almost all the streets through which you drive are completely without challenge such as parked cars, construction sites, fire or police operations.
Furthermore, streets with potholes and damage would be cool.
-Better traffic jams:
Traffic jams that sometimes last a bit, a rescue lane through which, for example, police vehicles drive in an accident.
-Interactive cockpit and trucks:
Things like opening/closing doors, navigation and so on can be operated with the mouse.
When getting out, for example, the cables/hoses can be disconnected with the mouse, the trailer brake can be operated with the mouse and the supports can be interactively extended and retracted.
-The truck can be loaded and unloaded manually and the gate of the ramp can be opened and closed.
-Smaller things that I would still like to see:
-Pedestrians walking across crosswalks and traffic lights.
-The distance is displayed in the navi, the navi is switchable.
So far, the distance is only displayed in the overlay, if you play without this you do not know how far you still have to go.
-Used truck dealer:
There you can buy trucks with more km, damage and dirt.
-Realistic rest times.
There's mods for the last 2 in your list.
I would like more challenging roads, kinda Scania Truck Driving Simulator from SCS.

This is definitely a good suggestion, congratulations :)

Addition from me are:
- Reworking Port and Tunnel who connected UK and Mainland Europe with addition Immigration check and Weight check.
It had really good features that is missing from ETS 2 like:
- You can communicate with other AI drivers asking them about the weather, traffic conditions, any cops etc.
A couple more ideas I have:
Adaptive headlights: Where the beams are angled into the the direction of a turn, and to turn off portion of highbeams for oncoming cars like with Volvo's Adaptive Highbeam. -this adds some smaller details to the game and improves immersion
Team Driving: Where you could assign a second driver to your truck and they could drive a portion of the route whilst you are asleep.
I definitely agree
There would be no reason for that, theres nothing to put there and most players just drive they dont look at the details and say i wish that could open like your going to wtorek something there nor is It useless you would never need it and you would never look at it while driving like its some sort of interesting object
@@Europets2 lol I guess all the features that OMSI 2 and other simulators that provide these features are pretty useless too then
Shenmue, the trucker years.
I would like if they will add an working radio with your own music Playlist or something like what
An unloading sequence where you can watch a slightly speeded up version of a forklift driver unloading/loading you either through the rear doors or the curtain pulled back - also being able to see into the warehouses when pulling into a collection or drop off point to see people, forklifts and the internal warehouse with pallets, racking etc
They can give us the OPTION as to how much MINUTES you want the LOADING to take so you can take a BREAK if you want or LOAD INSTANTLY
True altho surprisingly Xplane has some crash damage like i can smash an MD80 to the ground and it breaks up
A couple cool features I think they should add include having cars from other countries wherever you're driving in. Like for example you're driving in Germany but some of the cars have Dutch Plates, Spanish Plates, Russian Plates, etc. They should also either let you add text to your trailer or add signs to your truck and trailer (like that one mod)
The 2 Features, that I'd love SCS to do is seasons, along with Summer, and able to see any employees on the road (With their name above the truck) :D
There is seasons mods for ets2, there’s winter, spring, summer and autumn all updated to 1.41
I’d want more options to manage a company.
Would be super cool! Such a nice feature!
The most important thing for me is realistic engine sound, of course other things are good, but the sound should take precedence over everything else. SCS Software should think a little if they want to keep people who like this game.
Not everyone cares about the sound, and they can't cater to everyone. Now it's only sounds, that should be easy to change.
@@Xegethra Yeah, well, some of the most downloaded mods always have sound mods in there, eventhough most of those have dissapeared over the years.

Biggest thing i think needs to be added is the ability to customize trucks with your own logos & text. Similar to how Forza does it.
I Usually just run all my trucks with the same colour scheme but would love to have "Evans Haulage" or something along those lines just
to make it that bit more immersive :)
For me the most wanted is working tachograph, real work time 4,5 + 0,5 break + 4,5 + 11, partial load, whe i can get small loads from diffrent companies at one time. I like "on the road" but truck physic and driving is no good for me.
+1
I love to see multiple unloading points and some dirt in the truck and trailer
Features I want: dirty trucks you can wash, be able to open back doors to see your load, bumpy roads with better sounds, sounds with air brakes, better AI cars and trucks. Trucks with company logos on it.
these are all good ideas tbh
Agreed
The most important thing for me is realistic engine sound. Definitely SCS Software should do it if they want to keep people who like this game + 1. Personally, I play this game because of the modified engine sound mods, these mods if they were not just I would leave this game for sure. The sounds of the engines that SCS Software put into this game are unrealistic to say the least.
My most wanted features are:
1) Used/pre-owned truck market place: i mean it should've been on the first version of the game IMO but I am okay to wait for it.
2) Ability to place company Logo and colour scheme on employee trucks.
3) Contracts with major companies in the game.
@@yleyva126 So that means SCS just need to look up in their repository and adapt the code for ETS2
I would like to see either a cut scene for loading or the chance to load with fork lift myself.
Oh and do the daily vehicle check
And also get in and out of the truck for refuelling , cranking trailer landing gear and connecting all the hoses
But as a forklift driver I agree
I want forklift sim so badly
I'd like when I level up, I gain mechanical abilities to fix certain things on my truck so I can get out and repair engine damages at least to a certain amount to keep moving. Maybe even hire a mechanic to call him, cheaper than transporting the truck back home.
As always, great! Thank you for your work!
Modern trucks have mobile phones built into them now at least in the EU my freind calls me when he's bored lol.
I'd personally like the ability to dispatch your own drivers/trucks
yeah, my idiot employees just go back and forth and sometimes empty. ffs
How is dirt and damage a licensing problem???
@@tylerlinn6694The truck manufacturers usually don’t want games to display their trucks dirty or damaged, because they’re worried about their brand image.
@@wings4passion but in actual racing games this feature is present, like Forza horizon, even NFS Most Wanted 2012 have this dirt system, ETS2 have car manufacturers too (Renault, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Scania from VW...)

dust and dirt should absolutely be possible through masking like in farming simulator.
I would love to physically attach and dettach the trailers and be able to enter and exit the cab if the truck.
I want company logo paintjobs on trailers 😶
An option to say what your company specialises in would be a nice touch. Like a drop down box and you can specify if you want to specialise in like construction etc. Another thing would be random failures, like a trailer blowout, or reefer unit malfunction. Plus, they should let us do the walk around safety checks before setting out with a load
i 'd love walking around the truck
I believe the season changes is inevitable if they want to expand map to places like Russia or even far norther than what is possible at the moment. Also 100% agree on rigid chassis trucks - the earlier Hard Truck games, which can be considered the pioneer of this genre of games had rigid trucks back in the day
With that said I think visible damage is very unlikely since real-life manufacturers typically won't like their products represented in a derogated state
i'd like to see food, fatigue, stress, thirst etc. mechanics where you need to buy food, water etc. to stay alive
The best they can do is to fix stuttering and fps drops
I haven't it
@@herrkuschelweich2439 wahnsinnig viele Spieler haben diese Probleme.... schön, wenn du nicht betroffen bist.
@@HermannEmpunkt Echt jetzt? Ich habe selten FPS Drops gesehen.
Ich habe eher probleme mit der Darstellungsdistanz.
You can fix it yourself by buying a better pc
@@Gofaw great idea! GTX 1080ti + i7 8700k is not good enough for ETS? Leave me alone 🙄
I still look forward to the front fog lamp, rear fog lamp configuration, roof auxiliary lamp, front auxiliary lamp, side auxiliary lamp, and reversing auxiliary lamp.
True. Same
People who love scania

Another great idea is something that the previous SCS titles had for example, I don't remember what game it was, but when you blew your clack, another random AI truck would wave back at you by honking its horns. It was something so simple but it was a pleasure to do, also the option of asking drivers for radio directions as was done in HAULIN. Also to be able to see on the map the weather or the rain on the map, to know in which areas of the map it is raining or even on the map we could also see which roads were closed due to accidents. are some ideas that if re-implemented would give the simulator more immersion.
The ability to actually unload would be great, as in you get in a forklift or do a mini game or something to actually unload the truck
-See Employees on the road, and entering/ exiting the headquarters
-Rigid Chassis (with twin steering axles at the front)
-Let me Raise and lower my suspension PLEASE
-have a chance based system for load movement (similar to detours), so like in a curtainsider every now and then you will have freight bulge out of the side. Would work well with logs/pipes as well
- more personalized lighting would be awesome (colours other than white and orange)
-Damage on vehicles would be awesome, including randomize flat tyres and radiator hoses popping off etc.
Maybe one day we will get it all 🤷♂️
Showing each truck actually parked in the garage spaces when visiting each one would be cool.
Once you can walk around, a pre trip inspection with small repairs (change a burnt bulb, top up low oil level, etc.) would be nice.
I wouldn't want it any worse than it is
I’d love to see more cargo for flatbeds & lowloaders. I especially enjoy the challenges of oversized cargo.
For example:
- When hooking up a trailer, you should be able to climb behind your truck and drag the cables to their sockets
- When loading up be able to open doors & curtains
- check if 5th wheel is properly locked
- add load securing! Let the player put his own straps on a load, if you do a bad job securing a load, while u drive & you take a corner to quick, let it give you random % of damage on goods. Put in a random factor when your straps tear, add load theft
-add a random factor for small break downs: lightbulbs popping, tire leak & other small stuff truckers are expected to fix on their own.
Don't forget the issue with the perfectly flat and smooth road surface :D Especially in Eastern Europe
This game would be soo much better with all of this changes man, good job with selecting them to the video
I 100% agree with the oversized load banner and flags.
The ability to detach one trailer at a time (and hook up one trailer at a time). Would also then open up more options for delivery of doubles, requiring you to drop a trailer, park in in a bay, then come back and put the second one next to it. They did it with FarmSim after all.....
Good Idea... To add custom designing in game of skin for trailers and trucks :))
It would be cool if you can drive pickup trucks especially in ATS since pickups are popular in the US
I would really like to add in the next updates something about mirrors.
Appreciate your time and effort to make these video
.
.
I really hope they bring all these features
In terms of opening the trailer before loading would be nice if you can actually walk around your truck.... This would be great for manually refueling the truck too..Also, would love to see seasons...The TruckersMP feature does have snow....something clearly missing in the base game
SCS actually has adding seasons on their wishlist of updates to ETS2 and ATS because of TruckersMP :)
I would like to amaze what the dev is doing in 1.4x. They added so amazing feature, I'm looking forward to what the dev announced in the Christmas stream and many more suprise and hopefully the MAN TGX EL3 will come very soon, MAN teased on twitter alot
Would be cool to operate a forklift to load pallets into the trucks as an option of course.
I love to see the game start with ridged body truck via quick freight. Then with experience points add a new tier which unlocks full articulated truck
Thank youuuu🙌 especially where you get to see your employee
Flatdeck tarping & tie down would be great. These are all good ideas.
We need, engine and brake overheating (for having a reason to use engine brake or retarder)
Tire damage (tires loose grip)
Battery can run out of energy (when you have the switch on and lights but the engine isn't Turned on
Would be amazing! Although, I doubt we will get that in ETS2 because of the truck brands 🥺
I like that multi load/unload on different places nearby, very realistic
SCS AI is maniacal enough for me! lol
ahhah Glad you enjoyed it!
Not just "toggle" commands, but specific on/off, so we can use real flip switches in our home simpits.
