I love little RVs like this. Not like the old people you see driving around in Greyhound busses bigger than most NYC apartments. It's not even camping anymore at that point. This is all you need and so much more fun.
The solution to that is to look for recreational vehicles like this and restore them and modify them to your tastes. Many smaller rigs are attractive, moreso because newer engines and transmissions can be put in them. Air-ride suspension and body upgrades for minimal pricing under $10,000.00. It will likely never have a slide out, which frankly is fine. Took me four years of upgrading mine to get it to where I wanted it to be. I agree, it is a shame the states don't create like this, however there are options out there.
nissan is coming out with a camper van summer 2018 in the US. base price for poptop version $18k. there nice but not as nice as this one unfortunately....
It is high time for the U.S. D.O.T. and NHTSA to do away with the infamous 25 year self importation rule. The infamous Chicken Tax has got to go as well!!!!!
omg perfect for me...pitty I'm in England & a cupple of years late 😯😡😢 I would love this but I don't think we have many in the UK like this, I'd have it so nice & comfy...it's ok as it is but I'd have to do furnishings again maybe some White paint here & there...Oww I want it, thank you for the video too lv it's fabulous & I love watching these type of camper's in my phone sat in my garden with a big cigy lol
Canada doesn't have a 25 year rule like the US has for import!? What ballpark figure does a unit like this go for in auction? 10 to 20000usd? Whats your fees to get one and help with the exporting?
I will answer it. This style of camping car from 1993 - 2000 is usually about 1,000,000 - 1,800,000 yen. Super low mileage ones are going to be more expensive than that but I don't particularly recommend them with that low of mileage because these trucks are designed to eat up the kilometres. Higher mileage ones will have a large percentage of their life left. I think the sweet spot is about 1,200,000 - 1,500,000 yen. Then add in our purchase fee, shipping to your country, and import costs. Please email if you want more information. Our website is in the description of the video.
Ok, so it is an Isuzu elf they are all over the U.S. as small box trucks. Take off the utility box weld on front mount and drop on a long camper rated for a 2500 series pickup truck. This would also be the time to do a SPOA lift and run 30+9.5 tyres. Get steel rims with a spacing that pushes the wheel out at least 3 inches. If you want a wider stance put on wheel spacers for more stability and less roll. Now your set, happy camping 😊
You would have follow the infamous 25 year self importation rules imposed by the U.S. D.O.T and NHTSA, not to mention the infamous Chicken Tax. BOTH of these indignities MUST be done away with ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!
it's so sad you can't register them in Quebec because I would so much buy one right now!!! They are awesome. The only thing that i'm not sure is how to convert the 100v ac stuff to 120v ac.
If they are over 25 years old, you can register them. The first year for the Camroad campers was 1993 so if you can find one, you can register it in Quebec.
The infamous 25 year self importation rule is enforced by the U.S. D.O.T. and NHTSA, not to mention the infamous Chicken Tax is still in effect. BOTH of these indignities MUST be done away with ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!
Hey Derek, is it possible to disclose the area where you are shooting the cars? I'm really interested what is around you there and want to check it out on google earth.
Where there any Camroads made in 1993 or 1992? The vehicle has to be at least 25 years old to import into the USA. Please let me know if I have that correct. I would like one of these vehicles! ; )
Think these little motor homes are pretty cool I liked the one that was a Nissan that was a 5 speed diesel I wish they would Bringing them tothe United States to sale new . They kind of nice. I don't like the greyhound bus ones I don't feel like I need to take my whole house with me on a camping trip little one to be great
Mike Hurley ah ok ..... as long as the vehicle is 15 yrs and older (except QC.... where its a whole diff world in the french part) youre ok to register it .... :) sorry.... just that i thought you were American .... There are some RHD vehicles here ....mostly in BC tho..... am in ontario....

This you can still have a great old time!
What a shame they don't make anything that even comes close to that in the US!

I saw this driving on Vancouver Island in South Nanaimo last year. It's really cute! Wish they were more common I would love to find one.
I can’t imagine that it dates back from 2001, it looks more like an early 90’s caravan, mmmm.
How to fix if the engine has problem?

how do you access the engine? If the engine need to be replaced, how can it be done?

Wonderful RV!!!!!
Not too big or small.. love it.. Maybe only in my dream..😩😩😩
The way he said thetford ha!, in the uk pretty much all caravans and campers use thetford stuff.

Are you living in Japan buying these and sending them off to Canada?
Lovely car, thanks for video!
can these Japanese Diesel vehicles be tittled and driven in the US?
Essentially its a box truck right? I wonder if you could replace the box truck box with a camper shell.
Ok, so it is an Isuzu elf they are all over the U.S. as small box trucks.

''E190'' It is a W201 190E.
Pelleministeri Its not E190 because 190 ended production before they made the E stand as E-class "officially"
I have never said it is E190, somebody said that and deleted his comment.
