Oh absolutely the interviews are fantastic, John Rhys-Davies made me laugh so hard talking about that vigorous attractive and virile Gimli. Doing ninja things wouldn't feel the same without them.
Yeah I lost so many times on that level. There's these hidden random archers shooting the door doing constant damage that I didn't realize were there for the longest time. You can't see them unless you go up the stairs behind you and only then can you see them in the background to shoot. Lost some sanity to that so I feel ya there haha
Used to play shit out of these game. Finding out you could use the right stick (R3) for combat was a game changer. No more button mashing for combos. Just wiggle the stick around and you'll end up with some sick combos.
Almost everyone talks just about the Return of the King game, but I prefer this one despite it having less content and no multiplayer - it just feels way more polished and punchy. RotK game is great too, but it felt more janky and lacking finishing touches.
Yeah they both rock, Return of the King will always have a special place in my heart since I played it so much back in the day. Until of course the fateful day my dog cast the Gamecube disc into his mouth to destroy it.
I concur, I have both games but prefer the Two Towers because the enemies also felt better. I just wish in either game that they had Boromir as a special character.
I grew up with this game and beat all 4 campaigns including the secret unlockable character, I never had the Return Of The King game though which saddened me
I never realized I was in these times and how much I was talking it for granted, I remember playing this on the original Xbox man.. i was born in 2002 and haven’t stopped gaming since
18:26 He found it! I remember this part sometimes. For some reason, killing enemies on the walls in this mission granted kill animations, I don't think this existed in many other parts of the game if at all.
I love the Two Towers and Return of the King, but there was a lot more I liked about the Two Towers Two Towers 1. Enemy units were a little more tough to deal with, their shields didn't break after one fierce attack, if you kept blocking their attacks, kinda like how you can do a bane move, they also could do a move that broke through your parry and knock you down, Bane moves didn't give perfect mode instantly, the Troll bosses were tough ones and the epic bosses like Watcher in the Water, Cave Troll Balins Tomb, Lurtz and Sharku were very well thought out and an enjoying challenge, mostly because they became unaffected by Arrows after a certain point. 2. The Good soldiers were a little too weak to say the least, like I know it's about your character making it through the level, but you just notice how the good soldiers just get the living shit beat out of them (except for that Golden Soldier who was immortal) 3. The Environmental Hazards didn't do much to help, it was bombs that you didn't want to be near when you blew it up, Uruk Crossbows, threw fire bombs at you, catapults and archer fire at Helms Deep and fires that you doused with a nearby water barrels. 4. The only really helpful item was that stone you used to level up a little faster. 5. Dont forget to do it all over again and get Legolas and Gimli to level 10 to do the Palantir of Saruman and then unlock Isildur for the game. Return of the King 1. Good soldiers are a lot tougher which is nice, but it never feels like they are in the way or make the level easier 2. Level designs are a lot bigger and longer than the Two Towers, plus with all the insane hazard designs and puzzle pieces it was insane, fun and blew my mind even to this day. 3. Enemy units are a bit to easy to predict sometimes and you can always block their attack, they can't brake your defense. Bane moves give instant perfect mode which everyone abused to get prefect scores and instantly buy all the upgrades. Enemy shield warriors lost their shield after 1 fierce attack. Enemy mini bosses were nice to fight, they held higher armor so you had to use more than one fierce attack to take out their armor. Troll bosses were made tougher and bigger. 3. Bosses are still a lot of fun to fight, and with the exception of the Witch King, I though it was cheap that some bosses were affected by arrows. 4. They gave way to much help with environmental hazards, especially with those Spears, yea those spears that can 1 hit KO Trolls, 2 hit KO enemy mini bosses 5. Those goddamn fellowship bonuses, when you upgrade that and it unlocks for every character, so that way in game when they hit that level they can use the ability already. So most players would take Gandalfs missions first since he was already level 3 from Helms Deep and just buy the most of the fellowship upgrades with him.
You can tell Cyan is a big Lotr fan by the quality of the montage : the voice acting, the interviews, the jokes.... the age of not being subscribed is over !
Ah, I can finally eat that muffin I was keeping for this special occasion since the last video. Also, watching this gave me flashback to the days when I used to spend hours upon hours of playing LOTR War in the North. I have no memory if it was a good game or not, but all I can remember that it was a blast anyways
How can I tell you didn't need to look up a single one of those quotes lol? There aren't many folks capable of calling up as many LOTR lines as myself-- ya'll nerdy as hell bro!
But cyan man if I like your video then my favorite music will no longer be number one on my liked list Cyan man: Then that is a chance I am willing to take
this is how I knew I'd never give the slightest fuck about Lord of the Rings. Played this, thought it was fun and feel asleep looking at the cover of the book. Woke up and read The Expanse instead.
Tbh I've never seen what these 'interviews' are, yet I'll make sure to check em out. Also 'Cyan man' can you do some vids on 'Shadow of Mordor' and 'Shadow of War' because these games are so good also smeagle is in them too, seems as though gollum is literally in every single LOTR games.
*I was there Gandalf, I was there 3000 years ago when Ps2 has bestowed this masterpiece*
Xbox and GameCube too
I remember getting it for christmas and not leaving my cousin's room for 8 hours.
Those interviews are genuinely amazing. Truly a game about fighting ninjas alongside Gandalf the Samurai...
Oh absolutely the interviews are fantastic, John Rhys-Davies made me laugh so hard talking about that vigorous attractive and virile Gimli. Doing ninja things wouldn't feel the same without them.
Get yourself someone who looks at you the way John Rhys-Davies looks at PS2 Gimli ❤
PS2 Gimli is a treasure, we can only dream of ever being that attractive.
The only man handsomer of course, being the untouchable, the inimitable, the exalted, PS1 Hagrid.
I love how John Rys-Davies actually put effort and enthusiasm into the interview. Viggo Mortenson and Ian McKellen couldn’t give a fiddler’s fuck 😂
Ian McKellen a little bit of enthusiasm but but Viggo could't wait to finish this interview and leave haha
vigo goes so far into his charcters he was probably still in Aragorn mode tbh
“Ninja things, I don’t know 🤷♂️” Aragon quote 😮
Words to live by
@ Lol 😆 so insightful!
The gate mission towards the end stumped me when I was 8. I was actually sad for a week because I couldn’t protect the gate with my main Gimli.
Yeah I lost so many times on that level. There's these hidden random archers shooting the door doing constant damage that I didn't realize were there for the longest time. You can't see them unless you go up the stairs behind you and only then can you see them in the background to shoot. Lost some sanity to that so I feel ya there haha
This provides serotonin at a time when it is very much needed
The video fits so good because I'm going to a LotR marathon on Saturday. It's gonna be awesome
This is a worthy adventure, don't forget to pack some extra tators before you start.
@@therealcyanman I will try to remember
man just casually drops an immaculately voice acted video every other week what kind of sorcery is this?
WAKE UP BROTHERS , LORD JUST DROPPED
Used to play shit out of these game. Finding out you could use the right stick (R3) for combat was a game changer. No more button mashing for combos. Just wiggle the stick around and you'll end up with some sick combos.
Figuring that out was like unlocking cheats 😂
Never went back

get you someone who looks at you like Gimli looks at his character model
Well done Gamesters, Well done Gamesters indeed.
I grew up with this game and beat all 4 campaigns including the secret unlockable character, I never had the Return Of The King game though which saddened me
This is one of the first console games I played on my cousins ps2. Definitely started my love of gaming
Literally just finished your return of the king video, excellent timing
I love that John Rhys-Davies is really into the whole thing, in the behind the scenes videos.
Viggo Mortensen & Sir Ian McKellen on the other hand....
That bloody cave troll in Moria brought me frustration for weeks as a kid. But man, I loved this game back in the mid 00's.
The one in fangorn and the deeping wall almost had me putting my GameCube controller through a wall haha!
Me when having my morning coffee 4:48
This was my favorite hack and slash growing up.
Defending Frodo, the berserkers, defemding the wall, the broken wall after that.
Early gamer traumas.
Dude your impressions give me life
I never realized I was in these times and how much I was talking it for granted, I remember playing this on the original Xbox man.. i was born in 2002 and haven’t stopped gaming since
I'm still traumatized by that Hobbit game, so the Graphics seem incredibly good to me, haha
Hey Ellie! Come on we both know The Hobbit game is glorious and beautiful in every way haha
I'm so glad I found ur channel 😅
Little known fact, the Orcs had a vibrant culinary scene and were known for their variety of excellent sauces
18:26 He found it! I remember this part sometimes.
For some reason, killing enemies on the walls in this mission granted kill animations, I don't think this existed in many other parts of the game if at all.
He finally dropped
This is great. I love the commentary :)
Dude I seriously LOVE both your editing and your voice impressions.
Samurai and ninjas. Sounds about right.
WAKE UP YALL CYAN MAN POSTED
Gotta love how well the soundtrack from that Hobbit game blends with some of these scenes xD
Yo how do you did such a good Gandalf impression I’m in my room just yelling at the wall FOOL OF A TOOK
Just when I wanted those glorious impressions he comes back!
it's so cool that you brought Ian Mckellen to do Gandalf's voice.
FOR THE EMPEROR!
This video is so funny with the interveiws keep up the good videos
All of those quotes brightened my dark!
Bro this and ROTK were gems that cam never be replicated.
The memories.... as a child i was never able to beat the finale, i still remember hiw frustrated it made me lol
Thank you, I can't stop laughing XD
This video is a magnificent Gimli face out of 10
I'm sorry Gandalf I can not boot up my PS2. Almost 3 years ago it passed beyond this world to the undying lands so it can rest for eternity.
I will not say do not weep, for not all tears are an evil
I love the Two Towers and Return of the King, but there was a lot more I liked about the Two Towers
Two Towers

YOU SHALL PASD
Played this back when I was around 8 or so great game makes me feel glad to have grown up at the time i did was a great time to be a kid ❤.
When I played this as a kid I thought Lurtz was flipping Aragorn the bird.
This game truly had it all. Good to revisit again!
9:10 dont worry, nurgul, he'll come through these swamps. Now hurry and submerge. We'll wait an hour.
Your Gandalf impression is impeccable
10:00 Gandalf must go now. His Homeplanet need him.
I hope Gondor is there when Cyan Man Uploads!!
Ah, I can finally eat that muffin I was keeping for this special occasion since the last video. Also, watching this gave me flashback to the days when I used to spend hours upon hours of playing LOTR War in the North. I have no memory if it was a good game or not, but all I can remember that it was a blast anyways
That Gandalf impersonation is amazing. At first, I thought it was AI.
i remember how hard the battle of helms deep was. specialy that part where you need defend the gate in the keep.
Man, that last part, my six-year-old self was screaming at the screen😂😂
Gandalf: Don't worry gamers, you'll get to play as me in the sequel, and I'm OP af.
Came and stayed for the game however the amount of memes only ascended this video to greater heights
somebody hire this man for voices
We need a whole collection remastered version of this game, with added co-op or something
My neighbor used to constantly play this game, it was my first exposure to LotR
the subscribing bit got me to sub instantly 🤣
I just remember the cave troll being impossible but I was 6 years old lmao
Even tho this is two towers, but it's the return of our king
Love seeing videos on these games 🥰
How can I tell you didn't need to look up a single one of those quotes lol? There aren't many folks capable of calling up as many LOTR lines as myself-- ya'll nerdy as hell bro!
why is your Ian Mckellen impression so damn good?!
Second subscribing hahaha love it that's def one of the better ones out there
growing up I LOVED lord of the rings so I gobbled up any lord of the rings game my broke ass could get and this... this was good
I hope they remaster these games with the same kind of shlock and banter. Actually, INCREASE THE CAMP.
11:30 S vests were so in fashion in the early 00s
Oooooooh, that two towers.
I never played the two towers game but now I want to play it so bad. I know there's obviously more Gandalf impressions involved.
good video:D
Now we need him to play …Aragorn’s Quest
"F*ck them up" got me 🤣
This dudes Gandalf impression is fucking flawless
Been hyped for this one!
I loved this game so much back then, played it to death
16:47 screw that i need you NOW xD
But cyan man if I like your video then my favorite music will no longer be number one on my liked list
Cyan man: Then that is a chance I am willing to take
Excellent video
this is how I knew I'd never give the slightest fuck about Lord of the Rings. Played this, thought it was fun and feel asleep looking at the cover of the book. Woke up and read The Expanse instead.
This game was the reason i bought a memory card for my Playstation 2 !
"If Aragorn keeps playing like ass, there will be no dawn for men".
It was the first game I played on the PS2. I remember not being able to get past the ladder level. I was like 8. Still a fun time waster today.
Honestly I preferred the Return of the King game but the Two Towers game was also fun
This video got me laughing so hard
You better have a two hour video file of you dying on the last level
That's what we need, The Lord of The Rings: My Many Many Failures Extended Edition
I haven't played this in over 10 years. But I remember I hated the defense of the door levels. They are so hard!
Thanks for doing this one and reminding me how punishing this game was 😂😂😂
Your Aragorn voice sounds just like the Lord of the Rings game that was book accurate lol
Lord of the Rings? I thought The Two Towers was gonna be a flight simulator.
Gimli in the menu looks like Josh from game changer for some reason
this was nostalgia bomb
Tbh I've never seen what these 'interviews' are, yet I'll make sure to check em out. Also 'Cyan man' can you do some vids on 'Shadow of Mordor' and 'Shadow of War' because these games are so good also smeagle is in them too, seems as though gollum is literally in every single LOTR games.
Take me back to 2002 🎉
14:30 thanks for the translation
Man ... I love you so much
Omfg I totally forget this game, played this game so often when I was little, I hope they make a rework on this game 😅😅
12:00 YOU FORGOT THE LAMB SAUCE!
