Standard marine oil is 25w-40... i service boats with engines that range from 500hp to 900hp and they run 5k-6k rpm for extended periods of time, some times around 20 minutes or more... the standard go to oil has been valvoline VR1 20w-50 synthetic race oil backed up with Lucas oil stabilizer. Some guys run straight sae 50. I'm going to give the amsoil marine a shot with no additive and see how it holds up in my personal boat which runs twin BBC's. Again thank you for these comparisons, truly shows what a great product they provide.
Technically, the amsoil bearing was very close to 0.581 that's why it bounced around 0.581 & 0.580 until it settled and barely squeaked in to 0.580 vs Mobil 1's bearing which settled on 0.58 instantly. This suggests that the Mobil 1's bearing was likely at the bottom end of 0.58 and the amsoil bearing is at the top end of 0.58. So really, they are equal for wear protection and mobil 1 wins the pour. Over all, Mobil 1 is the true winner in your tests here.

NATES INTERACTIVE AUTO the only oils I can think of testing might be European synthetics like Total Quartz, Pentosin, Fuchs, and Ravenol, just to name a few. These oils have specific approvals from companies like Mercedes Benz, BMW and Volkswagen/Audi.
Amsoil oil has proven its durability and engine protection. It is an excellent oil and I trust this company In the Gulf countries, the temperature is high in the summer, so many people use 10-40 Amsoil oil instead of 5-30 on GMC cars, and the difference between them is simple.

Awesome! I would love to see 10W40 motorcycle oil championship tests, if you don't mind doing.., Brands like Redline, Amsoil, Motul, Lucas, Royal Purple, Mobil 1, etc...
You missed a very important issue by fully coating the bearing in oil before the wear test. Most wear occurs at start up, so how fast an oil gets thru an engine determines how little damage the engine receives. The Mobil 1 obliterated the Amsoil in the flow test, so MUCH less damage would occur with Mobil 1 in the real world.
No not true. Engines have oil pumps they dont rely on gravity to feed the engine. Any oil pump would pump these oils very quickly. Cold pour gravity tests mean nothing.
@@jamesvw769 no ur right they have oil pump but the oil pump is run off the engine crank. so u can’t prime an oil pump . so those first couple cranks on start up are running on so little oil especially when it is cold. this is why cold lubricity matters.
Appreciate the effort but the hard truth is that this test is not relavent in room temperature. Engine lubricant operating temperature range is very wide and a good oil can protect, seal, clean and cool at both high and low ends of this range and retain its properties along the drain interval.
Test Liqui Moly Molygen it’s there best oil with the most anti wear additives, it’s Lime green and you can use a black light to see if or were you have a leak
The whole 80% at start up is just ridiculous because it depends entirely on your driving application. I run hotshot and put 600 miles on my Cummins a day with typically only 2 start ups and average 100k a year. Are you saying that's comparable to someone who drives a Cummins 5 miles to and from work a day with 2 start ups and only puts 3k on their truck a year?
@@manwithnoname734 yeah because if you haven’t moved the car for 2-3 days and the oil is drained from the cylinders and valves, the next time of a startup if the oil is not moving fast inside the internal parts of the engine they will have important damage in short term.
@@liakostsiantoulas4617 though that may be true I'm not talking about not driving for 2-3 days, I'm talking about driving to and from work 5 days a week in a real life scenario. To break my comparison down further, I will typically have 500 startups a year while driving 100k miles. You're telling me my engine will wear equally as fast as some who has 10k startups within the same 100k miles? You see how the comparison is vastly different and how the 80% during startups it very misleading. When doing an oil analysis with shell rotella t6 5w40 with a mopar oil filter I can drive about 12-15k before my oil is no longer in spec compared to amsoil max duty 5w40 and amsoil filter I can almost double that and drive about 20-25k. That can be a 50% real life difference which in my opinion far outweighs the pour test results which in all honesty is probably not very accurate anyway. If you truly want to know what oil is best try different kinds and do oil analysis tests.
@@liakostsiantoulas4617Not really, it takes a lot longer than that. Oil doesn’t drain off like water and evaporate and dry. It leaves an oily film. Also in the tight clearances of the bearings, the oil is captive in those tiny gaps and stays there due to capillary action. It could thicken over time, but it’s still there.
That is why i only use Amsoil in my car and truck. I wouldn't use anything but Amsoil, been using it for years now. That is why i became a dealer with Amsoil.
NATES INTERACTIVE AUTO oh ok! Would be really interesting to test OEM branded oils! Could be VW oil vs BMW oil, or the other scenario BMW branded oil vs Mobil1, let’s see if it’s true that’s the same oil...
I'm not as concerned with what you test, so much with HOW you test. I live in Minnesota, and it can sometimes get to -20 or -30. Oil runs thick at that temperature. I would like to know which oils have the best wear resistance and flow capacity in those types of conditions.
A fair comparison between Amsoil and Mobil 1 would be examining the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) of each oil to determine the Pour Point (PP)- the lower the better for starting in cold temperatures. We shall start with the top grade of oil from each manufacturer, followed by their mid-grade oils: Amsoil 5W-30 SS: -58 F PP; Amsoil 5W-30 XL: -47 F PP; Mobil 5W-30 EP: -17 F PP; Mobil 5W-30 Adv: -33 F PP The clear winner here for starting a cold engine is the company located just East of Duluth, MN in Superior, WI (Amsoil). The SDS also reveals that Exxon-Mobil formulates their “Full Synthetic” Mobil 1 (in both the aforesaid oils) with anywhere from 21% to 35% hydrocracked-petroleum oil (HPO). You will not find any HPO in any of the Amsoil Motor Oils listed in the SDSs, since Amsoil states on each quart container (and their website) they are 100% synthetic! The manufacturing process of making a 100% synthetic is actually more expensive, but the results are better in comparison to full synthetics and regular petroleum oils, especially with the increase in both MPG & Power! I was a former Mobil 1 fan until I discovered Amsoil 18 years ago, at which point I have never used anything but Amsoil. I initially became a preferred customer of Amsoil, then 16 years ago I became an independent Amsoil Dealer (all Dealers of Amsoil are independent contractors). I invite you to explore the Amsoil website that is filled with valuable information and notice the product reviews from verified customers, including the many that are boasting the Amsoil products are having a great effect in increasing their MPG. If that inspires you to become a Preferred Customer (PC), I would appreciate inserting Referral Code 1420935 in the PC Application, providing you are not currently working with an Amsoil Dealer.
I used to be a mobile one fan till I use Amazon Signature Series it's a big difference of night and day I can tell the difference performance fuel everything get your money up get damsel Signature Series
Mobil 1 is unbeatable for cold subzero temps. Also it's used more in NASCAR, F1, IndyCar and lots of other motorsports division teams than any other brand, must be something going for it! Plus it's 26$ a jug at Walmart, you'd be at least around 50 or 60 dollars for the same 5 quarts with Amsoil.
I agree a thousand percent with you! I have used Mobil 1 extended protection motor oil in my 2004 Chevy Cavalier for 341000 + miles! It offers incredible performance and I would not even think of using another oil! All these people touting amsoil are using these tests! But my proof is in the pudding! Price has nothing to do with me using Mobil 1 EP!
Too many people are really overthinking this. Both are great oils and the 1/2 second or so that it takes to pump oil to the upper engine from the pan isn't going to matter to most people. If you live in an extremely cold area, maybe it is an issue, and people in those climates have ways of keeping their oil warm before startup.
It’s exspensive to use when I switched to Shaffers supreme 9000 I priced it .i have the membership but all I have been getting recently is the oil filter for my changes as I can 5 galllon buckets of shafffers for 170$ far less then it would cost me to use Amsoil!just waiting on my oil annalysis!

When Amsoil first hit the market I tried the 10w40. I was running a 1400cc Datsun A10 engine. The results were terrible. The car lacked power, ran rough and kept stalling at red lights. The reason was the Amsoil was way to too thick for then engine. I ran it for 100 miles before draining the Amsoil and refill with Mobile 1. I contacted Amsoil and they told me it required a special oilfilter made for Amsoil. At that point I never bothered with Amsoil again. Maybe they have improved it since but it was almost like gear oil at first.
Thanks for your comparison for royal purple and amsoil I doubt amsoil in Alaska use it in my three cases in my Harley 06 04 and my my 01 Dodge Cummins.
Thank you for that interesting test. I'm considering synthetic vs conventional (not that this answered that question), but I enjoyed your vid just the same.
I'm thinking Amsoil actually had a higher viscosity than what's being promoted on their label because it lost on the run test.Wich tells me that mobile one has a better oil flow and at the same time one beating Amsoil by a whole quart.Wich tells me for some reason Amsoil has a thicker oil than Mobile 1
It seems that way doesn't. Higher viscosity seems to protect better as we all know. I think running higher viscosity like 5w40 diesel oils like Mobile Delvac 1 is pretty money and add an additive like Lubeguard which has ester technology in it as well
Hey Nates Grate Videos as always! Don't you think that a second friction test, heating up the oil at least 100 C° will make a difference in the mass loss? Cuz friction modifiers in oil, needs to be heated? And the heat in the metals isn't enough. So maybe oil "A" it's better in cold starts and oil "B" is better in operation temperature. Greetings from Cancún México, great videos again!
NATES INTERACTIVE AUTO Transmission oil but I think that is not so interesting. Huumm what about using grease on those bearings vs oil and if there is a way to make grease lighter so you can do both test. The pouring and bearing test. Grease vs oil.
I use only Mobil 1 “extended performance” , it’s cheap and available from Walmart , however if you have a $100 k car I understand that you use Amsoil , which is one of the best oil in the market.
Please amsoil vs redline... we want a video about it ASAP... the test includes (heat tourcher, friction, lubricity, and pour test) please do this on the next video.... we want to see it. It will be the first of a kind on TH-cam for those Amsoil vs Redline
Hi! It would be interesting if you would test oils for cold start protection. For example if you bathe friction wheels in oil and then leave them to drain for a couple of days and do the wear test. How good is protection film they leave behind... I wonder if Castrol magnatec would outperform other oils.
Asking what oil is better is like asking what water is better. Sparklers or arrowhead… it’s basically the same. Change your oil on time every time is better. Oil turns black because of combustion residue. You can’t stop that… I’d rather use a cheaper oil and change it on time rather than an expensive oil not on time.
Test the 5w40 synthetic diesel oils. Rotella T6, Hot Shot's Secret Blue diamond PAO, Mobil one turbo diesel truck, Mobil delvac 1, Delo XSP 400, Amsoil signature max duty diesel. Probably a few others I missed.
I've used Amsoil in the past and yes, it is a fine oil, but with that said, I went to Mobil 1 because the difference is not that much and the price is considerably less expensive. Another huge issue, I don't have to order the oil online or find a distributor to ship the oil to me. It's just not worth the hassle to use Amsoil vs Mobil one.
when one oil has to be changed out multiple times a year versus another oil only being changed out once a year while still providing the same performance and protection, those cheaper oil savings go out the window.
@@BronzeLincolns81Also, Mobil 1 is made from group 3 petroleum derived synthetic oil, which will make a dirtier engine than Amsoil, which is real synthetic oil.
looks/sounds really nice n fussy. BUT to fully know the BEST one, instead of the "match up then winner moves on to next round " Judge all of them individually then determine the best
So my concern is that amsoil failed the pour test at room temp. I live in the north east us where we have some pretty cool winters. If running amsoil in the winter I suspect it will have a harder time flowing until the engine gets to operating temp. This will cause dry starts and accelerated wear. Am I correct in my concern?
No need for concern with Amsoil. The signature series 5w-30 pour point is -58 vs Mobil 1 at -33. Mobil 1 may be slightly thinner at room temp but it thickens up quicker as it gets down to freezing temps. Mobil 1 also thins out and boils away sooner at higher temps too, as it’s flash point is 396 degrees f and Amsoil’s is 428 f
I'm an Amsoil guy for my Harley. During the abrasion testing, the picture on the right did not show the far left where he could have put much more weight on the Mobile on tested bearing. Just saying.
Amsoil is expensive, but watch the video tour of their production facility on here. That place is extremely clean, very nice facility, and you wouldn't think oil is produced in there.
Automotive engineers all say most all engine wear occurs during cold start. Mobil 1 out flows them all cold! .578-vs-.579 talk about A skin of the teeth victory. I'll take the superior cold flow and easy availability of Mobil1.
Remember the top oil tournament, just the top of each brands and try to mix europeans, american and maybe japanese brands but it would be good not to put all the euro or japanese lubricants in the same group. VERY NICE CHAMPIONSHIP.

I would like to see the same test done on the manufactures stated useful life stated on the container. If it is 10,000 miles on the container, then drain that used oil and see how well it does to new oil and how it compares to their competitors who have the same rating. Test used against used to see which oil really is the champion. Every car owner wants the best for his car, so the oil must perform in all catagories until drained. I have a feeling some oils die before the maximum stated oil life is reached. Also pay attention to the engine block if it is aluminum or cast iron. Test aluminum against aluminum and cast iron against cast iron.. I have a feeling there is something going on in this area.
Actually redline oil is best of all synthetics, however I use mobil1 it's factory fill for Porsche amg Mercedes Corvette dodge viper that's good enough for me.
The test is inconclusive since it was most likely room temperature and was not tested in very cold weather. On the other hand, Project Farm here on TH-cam has done a test with AmsOil and very cold weather (simulated obviously). If you want a good laugh, check out when he pits Walmart oil against the others in cold weather.
I'd like to see a test between OE, XL, and Signature Series AmsOil, especially an extensive load wear test, say for like an hour a piece, and see how they stack up amongst each other.
It was soo close, and then when you look at the price point, mobil one wins!! Ive been using it for over 50 years, in dirt bikes, muscle cars, and my harleys. no issues what so ever, at least oil related!! Mobil one wins in my book just due to price point and coming in VERY close to Amsoil with this test!
I wonder now if Mobil 1 has improved with it’s triple action formula. I’d say Mobil 1 Extended Performance with the new triple action formula vs AMSOIL Signature Series. Then do the regular Mobil 1 with it’s Triple Action Formula vs AMSOIL OE.
Mobil 1 wins. Both are the companies’ cracked stock, and the flow test was a landslide for Mobil. The one-thousandth difference could have been the barring.
Maybe you should do these test using the novac volatility test followed up by the bearing wear test with the same heated oil to represent used motor oil with some mileage on it.
Although both oils are excellent, the friction tests are not reliable because environmental factors such as temperature changes between 40°C and 100°C, contaminants like gasoline, and sub-zero temperatures are not being taken into account. These factors can affect the pour point and viscosity index, and that's where the oil is truly put to the test.

Funny but true the sellers do not like it. It doesn't matter to me.
I used mobil1 oil that was the least expensive and the lowest quality besides the mobil super which is conventional. But i did test mobil1 best vs Amsoil best
My buddies motor blew up early on using Amsoil ,my motor continues on 21 years later using K&N filters and Mobile one 300k miles burns zero oil. I put it in everything on my farm and have not had a failure yet. I have a push mower over 20 years old still going strong.
Got a vehicle with close to 400k using amsoil signature series and still running like new plus another vehicle with 280k so amsoil definitely didn't blow up your buddies motor.
Test the 5w-20 Mobil 1 extended performance high mileage formula please.
This was a great series, Nate. I thought Mobil 1 was going to win after that first flow test. Guess that Amsoil is all it’s cracked up to be. Can’t wait for the next series.
Much appreciated what oil can we test next
NATES INTERACTIVE AUTO the only oils I can think of testing might be European synthetics like Total Quartz, Pentosin, Fuchs, and Ravenol, just to name a few. These oils have specific approvals from companies like Mercedes Benz, BMW and Volkswagen/Audi.
I like the idea i need 16 for the test
It looks like you tested Amsoil’s OE oil, which is Amsoil’s lowest price oil , and it still won!
this is amsoils lowest grade oil. results in pour test wouldve been very different if it were signature series.
I insist that Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is THE oil!!!
Mobil 1 it is. I trusted it since 40 years ago. I’m 75 years old, still trust Mobil 1. Which is also readily available.
Been using any full synthetic available on sale since the late 80s, never a problem, they're all better than group II oils.
Lol bro the slow talking country slang is so funny 😂😂😂😂
Awesome
Amsoil oil has proven its durability and engine protection. It is an excellent oil and I trust this company
In the Gulf countries, the temperature is high in the summer, so many people use 10-40 Amsoil oil instead of 5-30 on GMC cars, and the difference between them is simple.
I'm sure the amsoi has a high HTHS, better protecting the hot engine.
I like the Idea of a Top of the Line Synthetic Tournament. What if we did things like Royal Purple HPS, Ams Signature Series, Mobil 1 Annual Protection, Castrol Edge EP, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, etc. I like this idea or a Conventional Oil Tournament. Keep up the great work Nate👍
Nice im working on it very expensive lol but i have started ordering
@@NATESINTERACTIVEAUTO That's what I like to hear! Maybe consider making a Patreon to help you make these videos? It's the least we could do as your fan base. I can only imagine how expensive these videos get to be

0w20 regular oils not extended oils please : mobil 1 afe vs amsoil oe and castrol edge gdi turbo formula , Pennzoil Platinum and ultra , especially royal Purple , etc . Thank you so much for your testing !
Pshh. Amsoil is indeed good oil. However, not readily available at stores here in the USA. Plus the price is like triple vs the competition. I'll take Pennzoil or Mobil 1 any oil change day!!!
Pennzoil platinum is some good shit
Amesoil is real big on the shelvf retaylor in mexico city and north korea. Fanboys would love it down there. Imagine living in mexico or north korea beboppin to your favoret boyband and while getting some amesoip off the shelvf?
@@AUDI_obsessionexactly the smoother flowing oil is better during that process.
@@jamesvw769 90 percent of engine wear takes place on startup. Do some research before talking like you're the expert here.
Appreciate the effort but the hard truth is that this test is not relavent in room temperature. Engine lubricant operating temperature range is very wide and a good oil can protect, seal, clean and cool at both high and low ends of this range and retain its properties along the drain interval.
This would include part of that range
I need ideas
Test Liqui Moly Molygen it’s there best oil with the most anti wear additives, it’s Lime green and you can use a black light to see if or were you have a leak
That was a fantastic test, thanks for doing this it's a real service. I can't wait to see what oil wins the championship.
What other oils can we test
Excuse me but Mobil1 runs faster inside the engine that protects better. The 80% of the damage is at cold start running engines.
And this is why you should also use Lucas or Stp for more protection at startup !
I've noticed Mobil 1 is a tad leaner and wears out faster than other brands, i had a oil change not to long ago and im already at 60% oil life 🙁
If Amsoil was sold at Walmart I would use it. Until then I’m sticking with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum.
0W-20 next please between Amsoil vs Mobil 1.
Sure
I would need to see 0w20 amsoil vs penzoil platinum and amsoil 0w20 vs mobil 1 0w20?
That is why i only use Amsoil in my car and truck. I wouldn't use anything but Amsoil, been using it for years now. That is why i became a dealer with Amsoil.
Great videos! Test performance drop-in air filters! Test air flow, dust and debris detainment! (Something like that).
Nice what oils can we test next
NATES INTERACTIVE AUTO oh ok! Would be really interesting to test OEM branded oils! Could be VW oil vs BMW oil, or the other scenario BMW branded oil vs Mobil1, let’s see if it’s true that’s the same oil...
I need 16 oils
I'm not as concerned with what you test, so much with HOW you test. I live in Minnesota, and it can sometimes get to -20 or -30. Oil runs thick at that temperature. I would like to know which oils have the best wear resistance and flow capacity in those types of conditions.
A fair comparison between Amsoil and Mobil 1 would be examining the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) of each oil to determine the Pour Point (PP)- the lower the better for starting in cold temperatures. We shall start with the top grade of oil from each manufacturer, followed by their mid-grade oils:
Amsoil 5W-30 SS: -58 F PP;
Amsoil 5W-30 XL: -47 F PP;
Mobil 5W-30 EP: -17 F PP;
Mobil 5W-30 Adv: -33 F PP
The clear winner here for starting a cold engine is the company located just East of Duluth, MN in Superior, WI (Amsoil).
Mobil didn't lose by much. If amsoil could flow like mobil. Id be sold on buying it but for Regular driving mobil one will work for me.
I used to be a mobile one fan till I use Amazon Signature Series it's a big difference of night and day I can tell the difference performance fuel everything get your money up get damsel Signature Series
Yes there both good motor oils
Great
There's more than one flavor of Mobil 1 as well. I think this calls for a amsoil sig series vs Mobil 1 extended performance.
I appreciate you sharing
I need ideas
It's probably only 25% synthetic.Amsoil is 100%
Too many people are really overthinking this.

Hey Nate. I really enjoyed these videos. Could you compare the signature series Amsoil to the annual protection of Mobil !? I would also like to see Pennzoil Ultra Platinum in that test. I know you used Pennzoil before but I don't think it was ultra platinum. Comparing those three would be really interesting to me. Thanks!
Great choices what other oils
Amsoil or Mobil 1 champions?
mobil 1
No test can make me stop using mobil 1 i have used it for 22 years in my bmw and at 328k miles you can't even hear the engine running
This test is not for those that are "loyalist", to a certain brand. It's for the those undecided.
Thats because the engine isn’t running.
BMW FAN-BOY. MOBILE! FAN_BOY... Amsoil is a MUCH BETTER oil. Don't let your fan-boyness keep you from using a superior product...
They are really just marginally different. Mobil 1 is by no means bad
@@dirkcurritzki9585 Read the AMSOIL literature. AMSOIL is 25% better and they make the claim, if they couldn't prove it, MOBIL would have sued them hard but they just sit their quietly. MOBIL is a little above average w/ a massive campaign($$$) behind it.
I’ll stick with Mobil1. If Amsoil was that great, they wouldn’t need Amway salesmen to push it.
You can order Amsoil online just like any other oil. No salesman needed.
Its the snooty factor. Some dudes like that its tougher to buy Amsoil. If wal-mart started selling it, they wouldn't like it anymore.

What scared me was the one time I used it and it shot my oil pressure gauge way past maximum. Also gave me a crappy start up in cold weather.
Indeed Amsoil was like using gear oil in the engine. @@rtaggs8178
That was because of how vicus Amsoil is.@@rtaggs8178
Thanks for your comparison for royal purple and amsoil I doubt amsoil in Alaska use it in my three cases in my Harley 06 04 and my my 01 Dodge Cummins.
Thank you for that interesting test.
I'm considering synthetic vs conventional (not that this answered that question), but I enjoyed your vid just the same.
The worst fully synthetic is much better than the best conventional, you just can’t match the quality control of lab synthesized base oils
Conventional is the lowest of the low. At least use synthetic blend
I’ve used Mobil 1 since the 70’s, I just switched to AMSOIL today. I have no complaints about Mobil 1, but we will see.
Hi..
Do you notice any difference ?
most of these small oil co. get the base stock from EXXON/MOBIL. And now you know
I'm thinking Amsoil actually had a higher viscosity than what's being promoted on their label because it lost on the run test.Wich tells me that mobile one has a better oil flow and at the same time one beating Amsoil by a whole quart.Wich tells me for some reason Amsoil has a thicker oil than Mobile 1
It seems that way doesn't. Higher viscosity seems to protect better as we all know. I think running higher viscosity like 5w40 diesel oils like Mobile Delvac 1 is pretty money and add an additive like Lubeguard which has ester technology in it as well
2:06 - You can see how Amsoil bubbles less.. smoother and consistent form.
You have to heat oil up to 140f for lubricity test to be accurate
Hey Nates Grate Videos as always!
Don't you think that a second friction test, heating up the oil at least 100 C° will make a difference in the mass loss? Cuz friction modifiers in oil, needs to be heated? And the heat in the metals isn't enough. So maybe oil "A" it's better in cold starts and oil "B" is better in operation temperature.
Greetings from Cancún México, great videos again!
Awesome i need to be in Cancun but good point what all can improve testing?

@@NATESINTERACTIVEAUTO Test amsoil signature series 5w 30 against Mobil 1's annual protection
NATES INTERACTIVE AUTO Transmission oil but I think that is not so interesting. Huumm what about using grease on those bearings vs oil and if there is a way to make grease lighter so you can do both test. The pouring and bearing test. Grease vs oil.
Good idea what other oils can we test
Interesting what are some oils we can test
I use only Mobil 1 “extended performance” , it’s cheap and available from Walmart , however if you have a $100 k car I understand that you use Amsoil , which is one of the best oil in the market.
Many great oils have fallen in the tournament
Please amsoil vs redline... we want a video about it ASAP... the test includes (heat tourcher, friction, lubricity, and pour test) please do this on the next video.... we want to see it. It will be the first of a kind on TH-cam for those Amsoil vs Redline
Very interesting what other oils can we test
Rotella T6, Hot Shot's Secret Blue diamond PAO,
Mobil one turbo diesel truck, Mobil delvac 1, Delo XSP 400, Amsoil signature max duty diesel. Probably a few others I missed.
I appreciate the help
Amsoil is the best.
Yep W
Use to believe in liqui moly but really thinking of going woth amsoil now 😅
AMSOIL is the best
I hope that next time you will try Petronize oils that carry a special technology to prevent friction and compare them with other oil companies
Dang you nailed and exposed the low quality and superior synthetic oil.... Thanks for the upload bruh I already subscribed to your channel....
Sorry but I missed the "low quality". Both performed pretty much exactly the same. The are both good oils.
looks/sounds really nice n fussy. BUT to fully know the BEST one, instead of the "match up then winner moves on to next round " Judge all of them individually then determine the best
You should do cold and hot tests, then use the hot test oil for the bearing test.

Any viscosity will do what is the important to me is the film strength of the product to resist Heat Wear and Tear. Thank you
I would like to see the same test done on the manufactures stated useful life stated on the container.
What were the starting temperatures of the oil and the bearings and what were the ending temperatures of the oil and bearings?
Actually redline oil is best of all synthetics, however I use mobil1 it's factory fill for Porsche amg Mercedes Corvette dodge viper that's good enough for me.
Looks like Amsoil wouldn't be very good in cold weather. I'll stick with the Mob1.
What other test can we perform
I'd like to see a test between OE, XL, and Signature Series AmsOil, especially an extensive load wear test, say for like an hour a piece, and see how they stack up amongst each other.
Cold weather? I performed a cold pour test also

Nice video,, thanks soo much for your work, it's amazing
Thank you i need to work harder to improve videos and new ideas
Why you didn't check the Amsoil Signature series ?
That and the thickness difference at room temp imagine how superior mobil 1 would be at -15f where i live in the winter time all stick with mobil 1
Mobil is quality
I would like to see test on oil at operaring temp. Would temperature change the results.
Exactly cook in oven to a little higher then 212°F the fill cup
