My brother in law is Mennonite & always loved going to family functions & church with him as a kid. Mennonite's make the best food & are the sweetest people ...Thank you for this recipe😊
I made the rolls yesterday and they were a huge hit. Not as sweet as store-bought Hawaiian rolls and soft and fluffy. No high fructose corn syrup sweetener and preservatives. Dinner rolls were good for small lunch sandwich with homemade split pea soup using hambone. Instant pot soup recipe takes less than 30 minutes. No preservatives and quick. Keep those wholesome recipes coming. Hope your Easter was nice.
Wonderful! I made some more Hawaiian rolls for my families gathering but instead of all bread flour I half that and use freshly milled wheat that my husband grew last summer. They were soft because of the fresh wheat. I love Home made split pea soup. Yes we had a good Easter. It’s nice to have holidays with no farm emergencies which do happen once a year!
My husband went to the store and they wanted nearly $8 for a package of 12 rolls! Outrageous!! I love baking bread so will follow your recipe! Thank you for sharing!
lol I’ve added this to my list. I made a loaf bread for sandwiches today with a loaf pan. Mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm … just the smell of fresh baking bread! ❤️❤️. I’m just learning all kinds of stuff from you and the other channels!! Thanks Leanne! 🥰
I was just telling my daughter about the price of Hawaiian rolls in the store and that I was going to look for a recipe. Thank you so much. They look awesome. I will be making them this weekend!
I know this video is 2 years old but I just found it! I have my dough in the oven proofing and OMG!! If these rolls taste as food as this dough smells I will gain 10 pounds EASY! Thank you for this recipe!
Those look amazing! We love the Hawaiian rolls but they are pricey! I always find value in your videos! You have become one of my favorite TH-camrs! Happy Easter Leanne.
Hi LeAnn! You have the best sense of humor, you make me laugh. This looks absolutely delicious and bet they taste better than anything store bought. Perfect for leftover ham from Easter. What a money saver too. Have a blessed day!!
I have never made sliders before now I have all kinds of recipes showing up in my feed all a sudden like Philycheese steak sliders and pizza sliders. Happy Easter!
Leanne, this is such a coincidence lol. I was honestly gonna look up a recipe to make the Hawaiian Rolls for Easter. As soon as I got on u tube your video came up lol. I feel so lucky and blessed. I just love all your videos. Thanks and God Bless you

Great timing to make these rolls for Easter dinner. Not only less expensive but no artificial ingredients. Only time.. Should all be consumed at dinner or next day from take home containers. I loved watching you cup the bread dough into rolls. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
Thank you Gret! Yes, I really love cooking from scratch just to save us from eating processed foods from the store. If my great grandparents lived to be in their 90’s before the modern grocery store was around, I think that’s proof right there why we should cook from scratch. Thanks for all your kind words! Happy Easter. LeAnne
I'm Tom Bodett and I'll keep the light on. I love your little one liners. You have the best personality. I'll be cracking up thinking did she just say that. By the way the rolls look amazing.
I love how many different types of bread you make Leanne definitely going to keep this recipe I don't care for the sliders but I will watch the video I've just never got the hang of the sweet bread on sandwiches I love Hawaiian rolls but I would just soon have them as a breakfast roll with a cup of coffee or a snack roll. Some of my family likes the sliders and some don't apparently I've carried on my thing about the sweet bread and the sweet sandwiches that they don't like them either and it makes me feel bad because lots of people like to serve these yes I eat them I would not embarrass them one way or the other but definitely not my favorite thing. Now I know how to make them and they look easy as pie. Glad to see you and I always think you're a hoot I love seeing you with the other channels Daz and Lisa especially and yes I definitely understand you too!
I love that you're using the same mixer I have! I love it, it's a workhorse and those rolls look so yummy, I'm going to make them today. Thanks for posting this recipe.
You had Tanny glued to this ... he never really watches cooking videos but he made his early morning grunts and pointing at the screen so I'm giving it a go cos apparently he wants some lol Thanks for sharing hun. If we can save money making bread for his lunches that's going to be awesome.
Yes we finally go into the garden last weekend and got some things in the ground before the snow hit Monday but it melted Tuesday. I have never in my life can remember having that much snow this time of year. Locals would call it a Onion snow. take care!
Thank you for bringing us this roll recipe, LeAnne. These are my grandson's favorite rolls and it will be great fun surprising him with a homemade batch. I haven't bought them in ages and had no idea of the current price, yikes. Makes creating them at home that much more attractive.
I love all your presentations especially your Hawaiian rolls, they are so delicious. I was wondering if you if I could make a batch bake some & freeze the rolled out dough, then I would always have them around
I wish I saw this the day before Easter!!! One of my family members was supposed to bring sweet rolls, but she got sick. It left me springing into action for a dinner roll recipe. We ended up with homemade butter biscuits and apple butter, but I would have loved to made these. They look amazing!
Oh, wow...I had no idea there was pineapple juice in them! I just made some Japanese milk bread rolls which turned out good. I will have to try these slider buns. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this recipe, LeAnne! Will have to wait until we return after Easter to try it out but, oh my! One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago makes their own sweet bread for their sandwiches because they say it mellows out the cured meats for a much better sandwich. Bet these are wonderful with ham and cheese!
I made these tonight Leeann - I have to admit I’ve made a lot of bread but I’ve never used ginger and pineapple juice so I was a little hesitant. My husband said don’t get rid of this recipe it is absolutely delicious! He said where’d you get the recipe from? I said Leeann from Mennonite Farmhouse. He said those Mennonites don’t have a bad recipe! Mine were ready after 20 minutes.I served mine with pulled pork
Thank you for this recipe! I love the Kings Hawaiian Rolls but its definetly out of my budget! I'm pretty new to bread baking but I will definitely be giving these a try! They look delish and pretty simple!
Oh me I thought you were gonna say don't add to much flour or you will have a dough ball-BILLIE-LEE!!! I will be making these for sure. I'm getting better. Thanks to you. God bless you and your family 🙏❤😊
LeeAnn awesome recipe I must try it. My family loves my dinner rolls but boy is it work when you have to do it all that morning with 2 rises but they are worth the effort. Hope you and your husband have a wonderful blessed Easter Sunday.
G'day LeAnne. They came out superb. These are not really as thing over here and Hawaiian rolls here are usually found in supermarkets and some bakeries and are bread rolls that get pushed down a little after proving and then topped with ham, cheese and pineapple and some may use a tomato paste like base. Love yours. Remind me a lot of Brioche. All the best, Daz.
Yes it reminds me of a brioche with all the eggs in it as well. I’m going to use these buns for my pineapple stuffing for the holiday tomorrow. I wonder how this would be as French toast?
WOW!! Absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to give these a try. I think they would be lovely with my ham dinner on Easter. BTW, you are a hoot! Leanne, I'm pretty new to bread baking. I love the Kings Rolls but I refuse to pay the price for them. Could i use wheat flour in place of AP flour? Or would it make the dough tough? See, very new at bread baking....lol. i think I'd have to weigh them also or I'd get all sizes of them!
