    I am a 69 yo male who had compromised blood flow to my left big toe and to some degree the next two toes as well. My feet always felt cold and often my left big toe was completely numb many days of the week. I have an A1C that runs between 6.1 and 6.3. I had two stents placed in my right coronary artery due to a 90% blockage 3 years ago. My other CAs were clear. I am on one baby aspirin a day on orders of my cardiologist. I started taking a 100mcg supplement of nattokinase every day and within two days my left toe returned to normal sensitivity and no longer feels cold. That was 2 years ago. I also take 200mcg K2 mk7 and 100mcg mk4 starting, when I started taking the nattokinase. Just my experience for anyone interested. I would love to take more nattokinase but have read that 200mcg along with low dose aspirin has caused issues with too much anticoagulaton so I keep my dosage to the generally accepted 100mcg/day dose.

    I eat natto every other day...and kimchi on the off days. I mix a quarter cup hot rice with it and about an 8th of a cup of onion. I also take 300 mcg of menaquinone 7 and 45000 of Mk 4 along with vitamin D3. I have been doing this with these dosages for a few months. I hope to increase bone density, I will have a dexa scan in february. This has definitely benefitted my skin. I understand the wayward calcium also drags the skin down., ie SAG

    Thumb's up! Thank you doc...very thorough. I noticed on your food list (Black bean Natto) has about 80% of the K2 of the soy Natto. These two foods were by far, the largest holders of K2 from the natural (food) source of this vitamin. Maybe Black Bean Natto could be more available; should the soy version be sold out. Thanks again.

    I've been eating it for about a month, a couple of tablespoons of Natto per day with other foods, which I'm guessing is about 10,000FU, 300mcg 🤷‍♂ I'm in my 60s, generally healthy, and in a short timescale, I can't say I've noticed either any positive or negative effects.
    I would say it's very easy and cheap to make, especially in a yoghurt maker, with a small packet of Natto fermentation powder found online. Keeps in the fridge for a couple of weeks, so not a big effort to add to the diet.

    • @darryllp9399
      @darryllp9399 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@DrTomBiernacki Haha yeah, it's not a big priority, but for me now it's one of those small, low effort things things that I can do without effort 😊
      Not sure how I'd really notice a small change anyway. I'm in the UK, the NHS is not hot on CAC scans. Although I'm sure I could get as many free statins as I wanted
      🙄 Might try a home ABI test, and see if there is any difference in a few months.

    I've seen many videos on K2 and have talked to my cardiologist about this. He looked it up on Google. If you had some of the references that I could bring to him to present it may help me to move forward with getting rid of some of the interior plaque that I have built up over the years. I'm 59 years old and just had a heart attack, I believe K2 and nattokinese could help myself and other people in the position that I'm in. I need some documentation on what you're saying that I can bring forth to my cardiologist. Maybe that will help change or inform him on exactly the benefits of K2 and Nittokinese.

    Hi very interesting subject and well presented. One thing I did wanna ask you is you mentioned vitamin K2 and D3 which also have come in Bottles. Would it be too much to take vitamin K2 and Nhato probably on the same day but not at the same time? Also, how much should you take a vitamin K2 and how much of natto?
    I think it’s an always good idea when you talk on a subject and you mention some things that may help them with their health problem that you would also mention how much to take per day. Also, of course to check with your own Cardiologist other than that it’s a very interesting video but again people are saying G he said this about Naruto and then he mentioned this about K2. How much of this am I supposed to eat? How much of this am I supposed to take? I sure hope to hear from you aloha from Hawaii

    Dr Tom, I’ve had the whole family on MK7 at night with vitamin D3 for at least a year. This is the first I’ve heard that MK4 may have a slightly different effect. Would it make sense to add MK 4 twice a day due to its shorter effects in the body?

      You know the reason I said that is because in a lot of videos I have had people post links to research, overall its still very blurry and I don't think anyone has the perfect answer to the mk4, mk7 question, I personally take one that has both 😊

    Answer ??

      I would say they are unrelated except that they both work on your cardiovascular system

    • @DrTomBiernacki
      @DrTomBiernacki  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are a lot of variables to pork such as a lean pork loin vs a fatty piece of bacon. But in general it comes down to quantity as well, are you eating s ton of calories and adding a pulled pork sandwich on top, or are you eating a low calorie diet with a couple lean strips of pork loin?

    • @DrTomBiernacki
      @DrTomBiernacki  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And the point here is not necessarily to eat pork, it's that vitamin K2 is in pork. As I count down I focus on the more practical options. The point of this video is not to go gorge in pork 🙏😊
