    The mirror on the wrist guard is a great idea. As a bike rider that's been hit by a car, not seeing cars when they overtake makes me pucker up a little EVERY time. Hope this mod will give me a little confidence when sharing the road with drivers.

    I had the same problem, solved with zip ties, added a headlamp the same way. Both have been working great for years.

    Great video, Marty. Especially for us euc lovers, to get the best out of our riding, with protection!

    The mirror on the wrist guard is an awesome idea! Specially for people that think the helmet mirror looks dorky :)

    Hey great video for EUC riders thank you. I currently use the wrist strap mount mirror from amazon AND I just got my new modular REEVU helmet that has a rear view mirror in the helmet. No batteries. It has some sort of convex mirror that allows the view from behind to pass through the top of the helmet to a prism shaped mirror that reflects the view back to you. The view is similar to what you see in rear view mirror in your car. The cost is about a $400. It’s a motorcycle helmet but light weight and the rear view is excellent and I am able to mount my music/phone headset inside.

      Yeah, I've seen that helmet. Very cool. It's unfortunate that technology can't be incorporated in every helmet. The styling (and expense) isn't for me though :-(

    Your tip on helmet mirror is awesome. Zefal sells them now, so they are mainstream and easy to get :-) you just might have helped with that

    Ever the educator.. thanks Marty. How about a link to the harbor freight mirror in the description?

    Thanks Marty ! It's 28 degrees here so I won't be riding today so I'm watching YT. Is there any video out there on how best to install the "baby proof" bumper stuff on our wheels for protection ? My main concern is the specific type of 2 sided tape to use. I want to make sure I don't use a tape that's near impossible to clean up when I try to remove it at some point. Any help from anyone would sure be appreciated. I'm a 1000 miles from nowhere.

      I thought those "bumpers" had peel-off double-sided tape already applied? But in any case, from my experience double-sided tape won't ruin EUC plastics. The adhesive residue can be removed with a mild solvent like Mineral Spirits. I use indoor/outdoor carpet tape to attach stuff to my wheels.

      @@ElectricUnicycles you are right, you can get it with or without the tape. I'm a fan of 3m tape.

    Hey Marty great videos does the watch your using link with the gotway app? If so what type of watch are you using I normally hold my phone to make sure I don't accelerate over the top speed thanks.

    • @ElectricUnicycles
      @ElectricUnicycles  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wear a Pebble watch that pairs with the WheelLog app. I rarely run the Gotway app. Google 'pebble wheellog gotway' and you'll find lots of information.

    Even though you popped the mirror out, that small adjustment could still be useful while mounted on wrist...

    thx for great inspiration mate, one critical remark: what if you fall and the mirror breaks apart from 7 yrs of bad luck you might hurt your hands? Maybe Im paranoid, the mirror will prob just fly away (and land on Mars perhaps)

    Hey Marty - how do you get the pebble watch to display your speed? Does it link to EUCWorld or something?

    What is the monitor-looking thing on your wrist guard?

    • @ElectricUnicycles
      @ElectricUnicycles  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a Pebble watch. When combined with the WheelLog application, I have speed, temperature, battery level, and various alarms easily accessible with a simple glance at my wrist.

    Hi Marty. Are you able to find a new link to the wrist guards? The "What I think are the best wrist guards made" link is broken.
