Hahaha! Thank you Edith! First, I’m glad you enjoyed the episode! And second, I’m so glad to help with your vocabulary!! I appreciate your watching and hope to see you again! Have a great day!
YES! So summery! I love both of them! I can't pick a favorite -- your work is gorgeous, Mark. Question: how do you know when to stop (when it's full enough)? I get so excited with putting it together and allllll the choices ("This one's my favorite! Oh, this one's my favorite, too! Oh, I have to have some of that!") that I end up with a bouquet the size of a small car! LOL
Thank you, Maria! You are too kind! And as for knowing when to stop, that’s the hardest part!! 😂. With work for clients, we have a budget that we adhere to, so that gives us some parameters! But sometimes, a bouquet the size of a small car isn’t a bad thing! 😂😂. Seriously, the intended use will also often “tell” you what the right size should be! Thanks for your continued support! 🥰
Both those are beautiful! I have never done a hand tied. I figured I would always make a mess of it. You make it look so easy! So, I just might have to try it. I bought some big sunflowers last week. Three of them died in two days. The other two lasted the whole week! Guess they may not be for me. LOL! Love them! Have a great week! Love your videos. I was born in Louisville.
Thanks, Kathy! I'm so glad you enjoyed this! And, yes, please give it a try! You never know till you try, right??! The sunflowers sound wonderful (except for the ones that died!). Did you get them at a local market? Sunflowers can be somewhat persnickity! Don't forget the trick to pull the yellow petals off once they start to go bad, leaving that wonderful brown, textured center for a fun accent in your arrangements! Thanks so much for watching! and, YAY, Louiville!! Did I get the pronunciation correct??!
@@creativeoccasionseventsflo8075 I forgot to pull off the petals until I threw them away! LOL! Yep you pronounced it right! I got the sunflowers at the supermarket! All is good! Just keep up the videos!
Hi Lisa! Thanks for watching. In an ideal scenario, fresh water should be added every day to the flowers. If you have access to one of the commercial "flower food" powders, the addition of that to the water is also extremely helpful! I don't have the flower food at home, so my way to add fresh water each day is to sit the vase with the arrangement down into your kitchen sink. Place the spigot over the arrangement and cut on a slow, gentle stream of water. Let the water run in the arrangement until it completely flushes out the old water, with fresh water remaining! 🥰
Loving your mixed flower and colourful spiral bouquet.Any tips for keeping flowers equally distributed and foliage? I see you refer to a "quarter turn" which is helpful. Does foliage go higher than main flower? Thanks
Hi there! As for a more even distribution, watching as the bouquet goes together is important. But if you find at the end that something needs to be tweaked, as long as you’re not holding it too tight, you can pull stems out or add some in without too much difficulty! I do like for some little bits and tendrils of foliage to extend beyond the flowers. I think it helps to give a looser feel to the bouquet! Thanks for your great questions and for watching! Cheers!
Thank you for your kind words and for watching my video! Yes and that is certainly something that we will consider for a future episode! One technique that will help the bouquet to feel more “open” is to use smaller and wispier blooms that extend beyond the basic form of the bouquet! They almost appear to float above the base flowers. It often does take fewer blooms for this style depending on what you use for the base bouquet! Now that I’m talking about this, I can definitely see how a future episode can be done! We are filming a couple of months in advance, so it will be a while, but please subscribe and keep watching! Mark
@@creativeoccasionseventsflo8075 Thank you for responding so fast! because the price of flowers have risen customers asking for cheaper bouquet so it is hard for me to make the same size bouquet with less flowers, I would very appreciate you doing this for future episodes.
@@creativeoccasionseventsflo8075 I am in Canada so most of flowers are imported and locals are not available till late August and they are even more expensive than whole sellers. We buy most of our flowers from whole sellers which their price has gone up so much, that is why customers get less flowers since they won't pay more for flowers, so I was wondering there should be a way that to make a nice good size flower arrangement or bouquet with less flowers and keep customers happy.
@@efarzaneh I completely understand! It’s so hard when our costs keep going up. I’ve already added this idea to our list for a future episode! Thanks again! And good luck to you!

Thank you. I like the combination of flowers and foliage: color, texture, and variety. And I increased my vocabulary as well! Catawampus. 😊
