I am absolutely loving your videos. You’re a natural teacher. I appreciate how clear you are in your explanations. As for things I’d enjoy seeing - earthy, dark color palettes, a mantle design, garlands, how to affix florals to standing signage, floral prep for finicky flowers to help them last longer, and how to encourage certain flowers to open up faster (roses, peonies). Those are just a few ideas! Thank you for all of the inspiration so far.
Thank you so much, @MortViolette284! You're too kind! And, thank you, too, for these wonderful ideas!! I keep a running log of previous video topics and also ideas for upcoming episodes! Your suggestions are great and I'm sure will make our list! Take care and thanks for watching! Cheers!
I am a flower farmer in NC and was so happy when I found your channel learning so much about design and bourbon. I haven’t found a bourbon that I love yet. 4 Roses is one that I have now.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying my videos! And just keep trying on the bourbons! You’ll find your favorite soon! Four Roses is very goo. Have you tried Michters? It’s one of my personal favorites - great taste and not too expensive or hard to come by. Cheers and thanks for watching!
Beautiful! Great combination. Skillful arrangement. Thanks for the demonstration. I would love to see you do a large asymmetrical design. A fan from Texas.
Thanks Arlene! I’m so glad you liked the design and appreciate your kind words! I’ll definitely be doing an asymmetrical design in a future episode - perhaps a holiday-themed design for Christmas?! Thank you for watching! 🥰
in my country Barbados. we have growers of Tropical flowers e.g. anthuriums, gingers, exoticas. i am a Floral Designer and I grow all my dendrobium orchids over 400 plants.
I'm so jealous that you have such ready access to tropical blooms! Here is Virginia in the US, tropicals all have to be shipped in! Thanks again for watching! Cheers!
i love to watch you work. I know you peel off leaves so they won't go into the water & you trim long stems to proper length. But I notice you do something with each stem even if you don't trim them. Are you cutting the end to allow water to enter the stem ? And is it at an angle or straight across ? Thanks for your videos.
Hi Maxine! Good eye! You caught a wonderful detail that I should be mentioning! Yes, I give every stem a fresh cut before going into the arrangement to be sure it takes up water properly. It doesn’t take long for a stem to begin to seal over once it’s been cut, so if it’s been on my work table for a bit, I’ll cut it to be sure! And the cut is at a sharp angle. The angle allows for more surface area exposed to the water and nutrients! Thanks again for watching! 🥰
I'm not sure honestly. Can you cut and paste them into your comments? Do you follow my shop on either Facebook or IG? I know you can share pics there, too! Sorry I'm not more help, but I would love to see them!! Cheers!
