The Durango/Grand Cherokee/W166 ML(GLE)-GL(S) Class Mercedes were the last vehicles developed together during the Daimler Chrysler "marriage of equals" so the platform is decent stuff but of course most of the AWD/4WD hardware and software are brand specific.

@@4x4.tests.on.rollers I think part of my issue is I grew up with 3 things and a foot.
      Steering wheel
      Throttle
      Brake
And with those three, you can drive fine. I remember when ABS came out and the 1st time it came on while I was doing the pump action and doing 100% fine. And back then it shook the car and scared the piss out of you.
The only accident I had was later on in life, huge snow storm, I was going maybe 10-15kmh downhill and abs didn't do jack. The bottom had 4 I-beam pillars. Hit one and it sliced the bumper and rad in half. No airbag deployment due to slow speed

@@haroldbeauchamp3770 Had a 2011 V6 Pentastar Journey Crew and engine started knocking at 211K kilometers. Reached out to 5 dealers and independent repair shops and either they didn’t want to touch it or they were asking $1200+++ to start working on it.
So decided to buy a Subaru Crosstrek 2019. AWD is not so bad for Quebec winters but will replace this POS with a Dodge Durango 2021 GT AWD.
Can’t stand the noise in the subie and hard riding.

@@luminaire7085 the rod knock was covered under warranty in the USA. Some models of the 2011-2013 pentastars needed new cylinder heads due to the noise you described. It was covered under warranty for 10 years or 150,000k miles. Sounds like Chrysler didn’t extend that coverage to your country. However, it was a common fix for the USA, and was completely rectified with the 2013 engine revamping.
