A little late afternoon piano music for Chaichana, a bull elephant. Beethoven's slow movement from Pathetique Sonata and Elgar's "Nimrod" from Enigma Variations. - เพลง
I am a beer-drinking 59-year old bloke with a football club tattoo. I can hardly see the screen to type through my tears. Unbelievably moving.
I feel you bro!
As a disabled musician I watched with tears pouring off my face at the grace and empathy between player and listener. The fact that the elephant understood the emotion of the pieces of music further underscores the statement “ Music is a Universal Language “ where two species can have a common bond and that forgiveness could take place. A feeling that the modern world needs right now.
So very touching that the elephant loves the music.
Chaichana is practically wrapping himself around the piano-his ears are moving and his trunk is curling in response to the music - and he allows his trunk to be gently caressed by Paul. The magical power of music is demonstrated here!🎵🎹💞🐘

Elephants actually have very sensitive feet that pick up vibrations for miles, it's how they track other elephants in the wild. Piano is very soothing for elephants because they can feel the vibrations in the ground, just like Beethoven :))
