Hi Nat! I'm so happy that your drone is operable again! You captured such beautiful views of Samukkiixai. I was not expecting it to be so large. It's great that the developers took the effort to build a nice community for the displaced. I was also impressed by the monks. That is a lot of hard work and dedication to building a temple for their community. I'm excited to see how the Buddha Statue will turn out. Hopefully, you'll be able to revisit again once they are finished. Thank you again for showcasing another great adventure! ❤️😊
Thank you. I am happy that you enjoyed the view of the village. I was surprised myself when I found out how large it was. When I came to visit during the construction, it looked smaller. Looks like they're well compensated. According to the monk he said many people are happier because this new village is closer to town. The monk asked me to come join for the ceremony on the 17th January, to build the Buddha Statue. I may be able to join. Would be great to see it. They're doing an amazing job there🙂😊
Just as well you have a road bike; those potholes were huge. Take care, thank you for show casing the new village and its great that their pastoral needs will be met by the new temple.
Thank you. Sometimes, i can be overconfident when riding the bike until I stumbled into a potholes. That's when I slow down a bit, haha. I am glad you enjoyed the beautiful view of the village.
Beautiful drone footage Nat. Very peaceful to see. Are the roads as rough as it looks? You are brave to travel such bumpy roads. I’ll send you DM in January.
Hello, my question is, can you make a video of Luang Prabang, where they harvest rice fields? By hand or by machine and can you buy rice harvesting machines in Laos? It would be nice to see how it works. Regards, Martin
Hi there, unfortunately the harvest season has already passed. Maybe next year. Yes, in Laos people harvest rice both by hands and by machine. The lowland rice filed is mainly harvested by machine, especially closer to the city, but if you go to the rural area it is all done by hands. For mountain rice filed, it can only be done by hands because to transport the machine up is impossible. And surely you can buy harvest machine in Laos. Very expensive though.
@@natnomad Champasak My friend has her family nearby and her family has rice fields and I want to help her so that they can harvest better. You see, I want to help you so that you don't have to work too much or so hard and a small machine would help you.
@@natnomad You travel a lot, maybe you can find out how much a good machine costs for harvesting a small machine. Up to $5000 and where in Laos you can buy it would be great🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Beautiful air view from the about of the villages very nice
Thank you 🙂
👍👍👍
That was really interesting,
The young monk doing a good work in the village 😊
Yes, he is doing an amazing job there.

@natnomad Thank you for your quick reply, can you tell me how much it costs to buy a machine like this in Laos, a small machine for harvesting rice.
I am not sure how much exactly now with the inflation. It couldn't find information.
It must be roughly between $3,000-$5,000.

Lao is also a socialist country
Yes, communist and a socialist at the same time.
