As always, such beautiful views of Laos! 😍 I've seriously never seen any other place with beautiful landscapes. I appreciate all that you do to capture the amazing scenery on video. I can only imagine how difficult it is to balance a camera and riding a motorbike. Please always be careful and stay safe. Thank you! ❤
Thank you for watching always. This road has some of the best scenery in Laos. I can't wait to do more up north. And by then, I hope to find the holder so I can balance the camera and capture better view at long thr way. 🙂😊
Thankyou Nat, once again a great adventure and wonderful views. I did similar journey but in van last year with 12 others and I won't forget the journey as it was a great trek and hard on the backside. You both did a great job on bikes to navigate. Thanks for sharing and refreshing my fond memories of Laos countryside and people.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I am glad this trip brings back your adventure memory of Laos. These days, we see fewer vans due to the train. I remember years ago traveling back and forth to Vientiane and Luang Prabang on this road. Sometimes the van is packed like in a sardine can, haha. Quite a memory.
I rode 13 to LP on my bicycle during peak rain season took me 4 days because of the landslides was quite worrying in some places but the environment in Laos during rain season is very beautiful
Wow that is even more challenging. It's too bad that the road 13 is all broken with lots of potholes, and very bumpy. You are very brave to go during the rainy season.
Beautiful view indeed. Vang Vieng is on our list for next return visit to Laos. We’re there any accommodations along the dangerous road that you traveled? Looks pretty scary to even consider traveling when it’s not light out. Thanks for showing this side of Laos.
Thank you for stopping by always. On the section from Vang Vieng to Kasi there are many guesthouses. But after Kasi until 20km before reaching Luang Prabang I didn't notice if there is any guesthouse. Also there are not that many villages along that new road.
We bought them from Inpan Motobike Shop. They have three branches in Vientiane. Two others are in Sikhai and T 2. If you need their contact number please let me know.🙂
Some more info. 22:48 on this video. About 10 years ago the road was located more to the WEST. Since then, the 2022 landslide took the road, so actually this is a new road. If you look at the place where the motorbike (red) stopped, there were a small hill, which looked like a road up to a mountain, and for at least a year there were a truck under it, who took the wrong way and went up the hill and fallen down. (I have photos from that time somewhere) The view point next to the hill on the left have stunning views ...
You know ... At Kasi, you have 2 choices: 1) Take the LEFT route, which will bring you up to 1900m passage. Really steep, but trucks are forbidden. 2) Take RIGHT, where the peak is at 1300m at Phou Koun, but the road is terrible. (At least it was about a year ago) I will go in 5 days, if someone is interested, i can send some update. Probably we will go one and come back the other ...
We used Google map which is not 100% reliable. For example it took us to the highway from Vientiane to Vang Vieng only when we got there we were not allowed in lol. We should've know that motorbikes aren't allowed.
Hey man, did you use any protective gear? How likly is it that someone steal your bike in Lao? Asking because I am basically doing the same right now 🥲 Thanks in advance!
Yes, I used the security lock on the front wheel when I park at night. It beeps when someone is trying to move the bike. You can get one from one of the bike stores in Vientiane.

It is probably one of the best road trips I've done so far. I'm looking forward to doing more of Lao adventure.
Beautiful landscape

I did not know Honda made a crfl in 150, can you buy the 300 there? Nice vid Nat. ❤👍👍👍🙏
Thank you for watching always.
Yes, you can buy 250L and 300L in Laos.
Those are too tall and too heavy for me. 🙂😊
@@natnomad I think the 150 is great, yes light bike a great choice for your roads. Where in Veintaine did you buy it.
We bought them from Inpan Motobike Shop. They have three branches in Vientiane. Two others are in Sikhai and T 2. If you need their contact number please let me know.🙂
@@natnomad Thanks Nat, I'll check them out when I arrive there in a few months.

That's what I thought, I've taken this road for a couple of times. I've noticed something different. Thanks for your information.
Love it

Doesn't seem like there is an easy way haha.
Be safe on the ride and kindly keep us update on Phoukoun road if you ever take that side.
@@natnomad Oks :) I will
What GPS software are you using?

No crabs were harmed during the filming of this video 😉
Unfortunately, I've made crab curry upon arrival 😋. It wasn't as good as I thought. Anyway probably wrong ingredients.
Please don't build the high rises building at that beautiful location of vangvieng rever.please keep it 💯 for younger generations .please and 🙏
I hope so too. It'll be ashamed if they block all the beautiful view. I wish they'd pass the law to ban tall buildings.
