    You truly endear your viewers… your sharing at times, particularly your conversations with acquaintances that you have met along the way in your life is a joy to see, but also shows a different side of Laos that as tourists . We never really see. this particular video I really enjoyed. . Simply a “remembrance of days past” it brings back up nostalgia and adventure, and excitement that you had as a kid and young adult… Never lose what you have inside you… You make great videos…thank you for sharing.

      Thank you for your kind feedback on this trip. I am happy to hear that 😊.
      Apart from the beautiful scenery it is the people I've met that make this trip so thrilling. The more remote the more friendly they are. People are so open minded.
      It was a bit emotional learning about my friend. I've never thought a bright kid like him would end up like that.

    That motorbike ride you had, not gonna lie, is a brutal one...
    I was watching and it almost felt like I was the one riding through all the dirt, the rocks and the holes!
    You sure did give your bike an intense task! LOL
    Pay off though, the views are stunning! I like how blue the skies are and green the fields are!
    The people are so lovely and hospitable too!
    Thank you for sharing these about Laos to all of us, Nat!

      Thanks always for keeping up with my adventure in Laos, Paul. The ride was brutal indeed, especially with my type of scooter. In the future, I'll definitely do more of the countryside but probably not with that scooter again, hehe. I've learned my lesson.
      I'm in love with the scenery and the people along the way🙂🙂

    Nat! What an amazing journey, albeit slow and bumpy! As always, I really enjoyed all the beautiful mountainous scenery of Laos. The interaction with the locals was also lovely. I could also see how emotional you felt hearing about your friend. I really hope he can turn his life around for the better. Thanks for sharing your adventure! ❤❤❤

    Hi Nat, I just discovered your channel a few days ago and I've really enjoyed watching your videos. I visited your beautiful country 10 years ago and it is so nice to see it again from a local's perspective. I really love your interactions with the local people and how you show us a side which most visitors never see. Also, you seem like such a kind and caring soul. I wish you all the best and continued success with your channel.

    I learned a lot from your videos about Laos. The roads in countryside are not in good condition. The infrastructure there yet to develop. I am curious why villages didn't invest on roads. Because transportation is vital for development of local economy. I noticed that there is not much arable land between hills and mountains. Motorbikes are definitely much better on this bumpy slippery muddy road than scooters. Keep safe and watch out the traffic while riding! Nat❤

    • @natnomad
      @natnomad  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you very much for your kind feedback. I am glad you enjoyed it all along. The road is pretty rough. I also have the same thoughts throughout the journey, why people don't fix the road since there are many villages along. Ah well, hopefully they work on it someday.
      Thanks always for watching my videos 😊🙏

      @@natnomad True, it's understandable. Knowing many other languages is of a huge benefit. BTW, I can see your Lao is very fluent. What is more facinating is you really get the LPB accent!

    Another beautiful road trip. Although it does seem like your back may have suffered. Hope you allow for some recovery time. There was a bit of sadness when you met up with the lady who knew you and your friend Saiphon. It looked like it affected you upon finding out your friend's fate. I must say you are one brave guy venturing out on your little scooter on treacherous roads. I lost count on the number of times you slipped, perhaps uttered words not fit to be heard 😅 Anyway, take care and stay safe.

    • @natnomad
      @natnomad  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for always watching😊 This trip was extra challenging due to the road conditions but I really enjoyed the entire trip. I think I've slipped 4 times as I remember, poor scooter haha. Luckily I had a nice rest upon arrival to town.
      It was really emotional learning about my friend. When we were at the temple, he was one of the brightest kids. I couldn't believe he ended up like that. So many have changed in 21 years.

    • @nazifjt9882
      @nazifjt9882 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @natnomad we can never predict how things will turn out in the future. Some people may follow a path that leads them to a different experience growing up. That is life. May your friend find happiness and peace eventually. As for your scooter, it deserves a good wash. I wonder if you have named it? Positive vibes always make inanimate objects come alive. So when you slip next time, you can shout out its name to encourage it to be stronger. 😉 Your videos teach me to be positive even when adversity strikes. Keep up the great work and take care. Stay safe.

    Hey Nat, did you hear about the Thai DTV visa? It allows you to stay there for 180 days and valid for 5 years.
    Maybe you can go there and show some of Thailand so you can get your views and subscribers up. Just a thought.

    • @natnomad
