  • Dozens of volunteers gathered Saturday morning, October 22, 2022, in San Francisco to help carry out two interfaith leaders' vision of coming together in community service. The first slated humanitarian project between The Church of Jesus Christ and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is now in the books.
Watch how a million moving parts came together to benefit a community that struggles with food insecurity and see the tremendous effort put forth by volunteers to get the job done in record time.

I love this! One of the very best ways we can all share-and live in-the light of Christ ❤

I'm trying to get a garden started for the first time in my life. Had enough potatoes for 2 meals for my family of 4 from my harvest, and enough watermelon for a few bites. Not sure where I went wrong, but that's the joy of gardening, trying to figure it out! Wish I could learn from gardeners like these ones!

Marvelous work. I love seeing us reach out and serve with us and building those bonds of mutual respect and friendship. It does so much good and is what our Heavenly Parents want us to do.
President Nelson has truly been inspired with these partnerships

Hi president Nelson I'm a ex Mormon now but I still have some Mormon beliefs that I have I was getting harassed and picked on and tease by the other members for my tourettes and Asperger's it was just so frustrating because anytime I would go I would get yelled at for my ticks during the meetings and class in Sacramento so I left but I still believe strongly in the church

William, we're sorry to hear about your experience. As Elder Cook shared in the April 2020 general conference, speaking to those who have left the faith: "Our heartfelt prayer is that you will join with us in worshipping the Savior of the world. We know that some of you may have received offense, unkindness, or other conduct that is not Christlike. We also know that some have had challenges to their faith that may not be fully appreciated, understood, or resolved. ... regardless of your situation, please know that the Church and its members will welcome you back!" Regardless of your experience, we hope you know you are loved and respected, and that you are always welcome at Church. www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2020/04/52cook?lang=eng Take care.

I am so sorry members couldn't be more understanding. The Gospel is true, even though the members are weak.

@@shaneluck2570 Yes totally agree with that. I'm weak too and a lot of members out there are weaker in emotion and act shady a lot of the time

This just sounds so much like Jeremiah’s prophecies becoming fulfilled. A fruitful land because of the living “water” coming forth from the temple (those who have made covenants there).

This is exactly what is needed in the world right now! I hope this kind of food help can be done all over the world, there seems to be so much famine globally.

I was like NAACP warning to Missouri (Missouri was not diverse back then and it still hasn’t gotten much better)
When I saw this, I was like yes! Because I witnessed so many reactions from how some people treated others in San Francisco
