    If interest rates start to drop off a little, this could be a good summer to shop around!

      You can already find rates as low as .99% on the new 2024 ID 4 right now. There are incentives out there right now.

    Good info Pat, I wish it cost me $3 for full charge. More like $14 for me in the outer banks.

      Thanks Jo. Yeah it's definitely different from region to region and the same for gas prices

      Even slow charge is not that 3 bucks for the model3 rwd. You will pay around 15 dollars for that same car. Bigger battery, more bucks. More money for the insurance. EV is not cheap, not that much of saving over hybrid same level.

      @tonymai1844 Hybrids are a evolution of the Designed to fail ICE scam perpetrated by big auto.
      BEVs are the future.

    I’ve tried to get a lease deal on a Porsche Taycan 4s (in uk) on company car scheme. The costs are still far too high. I’m now extending the lease for another 6 months on my current petrol car (E300 coupe) and hope the EV deals will improve.

      Lol ok I can clearly say I did not look at luxury brands when I did my research as they fall on a complete other spectrum of the market so you definitely have me there

    The power it takes to charge 1 EV can power 5000 homes. The math doesn't add up. All it takes is 1 cell to have a thermal run away and it's takes up too 80.000 gallons of water to put them out. And they burn up to 3 weeks B4 they run out of power. There's nothing green about them.

      1. ICE cars a 60X more likely to catch fire that EVs
      2. Based on average US Electrical usage (28 KWH per day) and average trip length (about 40 miles a day) EV charging only adds about 35% to household electricity usage

      @@pcwcol if an EV car has a crash damaged battery , the complete car becomes almost worthless because the repair exceeds the value of the car.

    • @pcwcol
      @pcwcol 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mikewallace8087 I expect this to change as replacement batteries get cheaper. Note that most modern vehicles are very expensive to repair from relatively minor crash damage.

    You can get a new 2022 MachE for $40000 and get the same car "new second hand" for $19000 - CarEdge...
    The average second hand ev price has dropped from $63000 to $33000 in 18 months - also CarEdge.
    Still some way to go before the bottom has been reached.

      Those are great prices, unfortunately here in Canada, used EVs are selling close to the price of brand new, minus 2 or 3k

    It's going down the chute. Normal people don't want a tracking device, disguised as a motor vehicle because they have been conned into thinking they are greener. These vehicles are a nightmare on long journeys because of the range, charging times and overall availability of functional charging points. This is all due to inferior battery technology and stupid government mandates that they beleive is viable. You can drive a I.C.E. car nearly 100,000 km on fossil fuels before it even equals the emissions dispelled to create an EV. By this time your EV battery would be very degraded and be losing range each trip. This doesn't happen very much to an combustion engine, My petrol tank never shrinks. Just think how long your cell phone and battery lasts. Do you really want a car like that? Who would want to buy such a vehicle? Or how would you know if the battery is still good? So the resale value of an EV is very low, So none of them will ever be a viable Classic car , unless old people want to laugh at a parade of fools garbage. Mechanics don't know much about them or want to work on them because they are mechanics not nerds. Do you really want a car like that? It costs 3/4 the cost of a new EV to replace a battery if it can be done at all. This fact basically makes them a disposable item. That is not what I call a green system or a feasible one. Just take a look at how many businesses are recycling Lithium Ion Batteries. They will tell you all kinds of B.S. to make you think these cars are green. The truth is they are as green as brown gets. How do you think they produce the power you charge these mobile phones on wheels with? There is very few world countries that produce 100% green energy and the USA and most other western or communist countries are on the bottom of that list. So just because a greedy evangelist comes along pedaling his B.S, doesn't make it a very smart option.

      Total lifecycle GHG emissions of EVs are about 1/3 of ICE vehicles in the US (based on US mix of power sources) Typical break even point is closer to 30K Kilometers in the US. Why are you lying?

    • @Outsider.Reviews
      @Outsider.Reviews  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There's a mix of outdated information but you are right to say the tech is changing constantly and that means if you buy an EV today, next year there will be one that performs better and charges faster. it's like when computers really took off and your model would be absolute a month after purchasing it but it's not quite at that speed. I think it's a good sign how much innovation we are seeing with EV's and at the same time, ICE engines keep getting smaller with more components which makes you question their durability (they almost all have turbos now) I like driving both kind of vehicles which is why this isn't a dedicated EV channel and I strongly believe the more options we have, the better and we need to keep pushing that envelope.

    • @Outsider.Reviews
      @Outsider.Reviews  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are right but don't jump to the conclusion he is lying. There's a lot of info out there that is either bias, misleading or outdated as everyone seems to have an agenda. Let's just be the ones that puts out factual data and leave it at that. I do appreciate that you provide good factual data to our comments and hope you keep it up.
