The audio test is really really useful, appreciate your efforts there. Your voice really fits on these mics. & your singing is amazing. It's easier to hear the difference. So I prefer the NT1 Signature Series, because of it's modern sounding quality & accurate representation of your voice that is pleasing & not harsh. Considering the price, it's still wondering how Rode did pull this off, they beat a lot of mics that are even more expensive. I'm amazed by the capabilities of this mic. Thank you for this really helpful review, it's the first video I saw comparing the 4th gen with the Signature Series. Well done!❤️ Subscribed🙌

I have an NT1 4th gen and I was lucky to find it used for cheaper than a new Signature version, although without a shock mount, but I already had a few of them to use for the mic.
I honestly prefer the sound of 4th gen - I do streaming, voice over, voice acting and sometimes singing and the flat sound just makes it easier to play with the effects and editing.
I also do ASMR with this mic and when I'm close to it while speaking softly/whispering, the sibilants aren't overpowering, which is important for me, because I release a lot of air while speaking.

That’s awesome that you got a good deal! When it comes to spoken word in general, I also prefer the 4th generation because it has a more neutral frequency response with less boosted high end like the Signature Series.

Awesome brother. Keep it up I like the road nt1 series. And I like this microphone in comparison because of the value it provides and this price thanks for your opinions.
    Suggestion.
If its possible or available to shoot some footage in outdoor it will make video more awesome to look.

Thanks for the support! Both are great mics for sure and great value at their price point. Unfortunately, my current setup is on a 1 bedroom apartment and this is the only way I can film my videos. Nevertheless, hoping to provide value to people in anyway I can with what I have at the moment. 😊

I don't know. I've been listening to tests all day... both sound nice, but I'm beginning to lean towards the 4th gen sound. It sounds warmer/wider. Anyone else hear this? (Actually, it sounds like our host might)

To describe the difference more accurately I think you need to say the 4th gen is more neutral or pretty flat. Where I think it shines is how smooth the upper mids are and the highs less sibilant. I definitely like it much better then the 5th gen and I'm actually surprised it isn't more bashed. Thanks for the review.

I agree that the 4th gen was a more neutral sounding mic which is my preference for spoken word. However, for singing and acoustic guitar, the brighter actually helps in a mix.
