    ONE of the reasons it’s expensive because you can insert these plugins (not free, only a couple was given on purchase) on the signal chain before even it hit the daw. So you can monitor with effect with ultra low latency.

    • @homestudioacademy
      @homestudioacademy 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@tubeo94 yes, it has DSP powered plugins which plays a big part in what makes the Apollo expensive. However, nowadays, I’ve been fortunate to test other interfaces like the Lewitt Connect 2 and Connect 6 which also come with DSP powered plugins for a fraction of the price. But of course, it’s not the same as having an 1176, LA2A, Pultec EQ, Marshall Plexi etc…

    Thanks Nolan!!. This is Bijo from India. I have gone through a lots of channels including your's + chat GPT to find out the right mic, which I needed. We are looking for the mic, which is needed to sing + Keyboard at a home environment (The room, which is not 100% acoustically treated) After spending a lots of time with different mics, I consolidated with the below list. a) AKG P220 b) Node NT1 SS c) Node Nt1 4th Gen d) Lewitt LCT 440 Pure. Again spending a lot of time, I decided to drop AKG P220 (Because of its self noise (16dB) and NT1 Signature series (Because of -ve reviews in different websites about its built quality, XLR pins quality and complaint rates). Now I am having only 2 in my list and those of are Node NT1 4th Gen and Lewitt LCT 440 Pure. Some of the reviews are saying, the 4th gen produces a sound that is too dark and slightly muffled, so we have to modify that while do the editing and the 5th gen has a greater presence of the a slight boost on high frequencies. As per their reviews, both rode N1 are very sensitive and not suitable for home uses where good acoustic treatment is almost impossible to obtain. So what is your opinion about these final 2 (Nt1 4Gen vs Lewitt LCT 440 Pure). Which one could be the best in my scenario. Any update would be greatly appreciated!! Once you get the time, kindly answer the same. With a lots of respect. Bijo from India.

    • @homestudioacademy
      @homestudioacademy 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Bijo506 hey Bijo, thanks for the insightful comment. When it comes to music production (singing and recording instruments), I prefer the 440 pure because of its brighter sound. When it comes to voiceover work, I prefer the NT1 4th gen because of its more neutral sound. Keep in mind that both are condenser microphones and therefore will be sensitive to background noise. Not a problem though because I also don’t have an acoustically treated room and still create TH-cam content and work on music production. Here is a tutorial which I think might help you get best results from these mics: th-cam.com/video/L7KYjQBIH-w/w-d-xo.html and here is a plugin to remove room noise: th-cam.com/video/U4Xayicbfz0/w-d-xo.html Hope it helps! 😊

    @therottenbug3675 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

    oh boy this topic is a shitshow i have to say ... fucking every headphone and speaker has a signature even if the response curve is "flat" because of phase shifts, speed, control, size of a driver and how it sits in proposition to your hearing and yes your hearing organ as well. Its better to have not one but at least 2 or 3 headphones you can trust and you like, maybe one for analytical listening, one for fun relaxed listening , yadayadayada ... so for perspective you could also use a pair apple in ears as well to look if the mix works on them because a lot of people use them and if the mix is trash on them you fucket up somewhere.
