i love the zephyrus lineup. the keyboard is centered, there is 3d face recognition, the trackpad is big enough, its literally a gaming laptop with the macbook design(that i love a lot)
@@nileredsexperiment834no...there's no plastic except for vents. The whole thing is magnesium alloy yes it's cheaper than aluminium but not worth twice the price.
At least it’s looks cool and have more character in terms of design rather than Razer Blade that obviously looks like a black MacBook with snakes logo 🤣🤣
Just picked up one of these (haven’t got it yet, should arrive in a few days) from Best Buy for $1599 USD! Same configuration, i9-13900 with the 4070. Also picked up some additional ram to upgrade it to 32GB matched set. Great video!
I got mine from bestbuy 2 days ago. Mine was open box and paid $1450 out the door, laptop was practically brand new. I was really impressed with the quality and the screen.

Another issue is when powering it back, I would have to hold the power button for a few seconds and press it again till it turns on.
Good review. Lots of little details, very articulate as well. Your channel deserves more subs. Also, a small critisim: the photography could be better, less shaky and with a more narrow depth of field and some nices lighting would help with this. But I'm pretty sure this will evolve over time, it's a process :).
Thank you Hansvannuffel! Really means alot. Really also wish I had more time to take out of work to bring out new content more frequently. The plan is definitely to get better equipment once the channel starts earning something. For now its just my phone. :)
Overall, a very good review of an excellent lowkey gaming laptop. A bit of clarification regarding a couple of the things you covered...the construction is mostly aluminum (the lid) and a coated magnesium alloy. The coating over the magnesium is what makes it feel a bit more like a high-quality plastic once the laptop has warmed up a bit. If you touch the keyboard deck and the part of the bottom that's ventilated when the laptop has been off long enough to cool to room temperature, it's pretty clear that it's metal. It'll have that cool to the touch feel that no plastic clad device ever has at room temperature. Also, the Asus' description of a 6 speaker system is a bit misleading. It has 2 tweeters, 2 woofers, and 2 "force canceling" woofers. I believe that those "force canceling" speakers are passive, and only meant to help cancel out excess vibrations. I found the volume level very underwhelming out of the box. But, installing Equalizer APO and using its preamp settings to apply a 5db system wide boost made all the difference in the world. It's now easily the best sounding Windows laptop that I've ever heard, and is only beaten in sound quality by the newer MacBook Pros. EDIT: Just to clarify...the only part of the bottom of the M16 that is metal is the ventilated portion. The rest of the bottom is a high quality plastic.
Oh nice! thank you for sharing that with me and the rest of us! Understanding the build and how magnesium responds to heat. .that is interesting and useful stuff. Also about the speakers! Leave it to manufacturers to overly "fluff" up the offering. I personally wont even mind the vibration too much if I am honest. If possible, do also drop the link to this software (hopefully spyware / adware / drama / virus free) . It might help many out there who are sad about their laptop speakers. For me, the 2 gaming laptops in which I have experienced the best and loudest sound were the Alienware X16 and the Asus Zenbook Pro 16X. Though I have to admit, what the hell is it about Macbook speakers that none of the gaming laptop manufacturers can reproduce. It is crazy sometimes how nice apple phones and macbooks can sound!
@kazmiee You're welcome. Instead of sharing a link to the EQ software that some users may be apprehensive to use, I'll just share a link to the TH-cam video that talked me through the entire process instead...from finding and installing the required software, to setting it up. th-cam.com/video/gGIjfyMN0dg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=U05dIU1OgUpdCH1v Just be sure to do everything in the same order that the content creator did. The 1st time I attempted the install, I changed the order of 1 of his steps and the 2 different software that he directs you to download (EQ and interface) didn't wanna play nice with each other. I unintalled it all and reinstalled, and actually followed all of his directions, and then it worked perfectly. Full disclosure...I returned the M16 and bought the Asus ROG Strix G18 with the RTX 4080 and the top of the line i9 CPU. I still think that the M16 is great, but the G18 was on sale at Best Buy for $1,995...and at that price it's kind of a no brainer...as long as you don't mind lugging around a huge 18" laptop with a more blatant gaming laptop look.
For what it's worth, I just picked this up from Best Buy for work + play; got it on a great sale. i9, RTX 4070, 240hz screen... But most important to me was the upgradability. I upgraded the RAM myself to 64GB and added a 2TB SN770 NVME, and now it's a monster of a work box - that can also game respectably as well. No regrets!
Will have to add these upgrades myself. I also like that you can upgrade the gpu but so far the rtx 4070 gets the job done. Got it at bestbuy for 800 open box and it was on sale.

Keeping it on dynamic in the dolby atmos app has produced the best sound for myself, however some types of media it doesn't sound any different if its turned off to me
I returned my 2022 model blade 15 and picked up one of these for the reason you stated, value for money. My only real gripe is that the 4070 mobile comes with 8gb VRAM vs the desktop 4070 that comes with 12gb. Great review dude!
Thank you Frank greatful for your words of encouragement! I have usually been drawn to radeon mobile gpus. Expecially recently. Like, CRAZY good value for money. I was really surprised by the performance from the 6700M in my review of the legion 7. Awesome for mainstream qhd gaming.

I agree. Since they have continued this design for the past few generations now. I guess it works for now. BUT. The inverted hinge also gives us that fantastic view of the screen starting right from the base of the top deck.
This is exactly why I like doing this!. Grateful for your encouragement Soham. If you dont mind sharing, what was your final decision? Are you looking to replace your existing laptop or is this your first gaming laptop purchase?
Hi! Would you recommend this computer for gaming warzone? The cooling system is god enough? Does it overheat or is it one of the best laptops out there for the price class?
I genuniely felt the cooling system on this was as good if not better than the legion 7 and that is high praise. Should be great for warzone even at maxed out settings. Should average above 60 fps and stay cool. Fan noise may be louder than average. Actually one of the loudest I heard. :/

Hey I’m looking to buy this as well and in the same situation as you, how has it been so far? How’s the battery life and system heat with normal usage?
@white.shadow I'm very happy with the M16, it's fast and plays any game that you throw at it. I swapped out the ram for 32 gigs and added a m.2 ssd and it was very easy to upgrade. I haven't really tested the battery because I keep it plugged in while gaming. I've read that the battery life is good. You won't be disappointed and it's on sale at Bestbuy for 1500.00 now, that's an awesome deal. Hope this helps you make your decision. Best Regards

There is no modern keyboard that can compete with the old laptop keyboards that are reminiscent of today's gaming keyboards. If people like the modern keyboards, it's because they don't remember the old ones or nevver seen one. I also understand that it comes down to the race of who builds the flattest laptop (resulting in huge cooling problems, among other things) etc. I think it's a pity. For me, a laptop doesn't have to be as thin as a piece of paper. But yes, the market decides
@@henkholdingastate hmm, that is a very interesting perspective. Ill be honest, gamimg laptops did mot make sense to me 10 years ago and were extremely expensive, had to settle for desktops only.. so I may not not entirely relate to your POV. But I am curious. I think the legion 7 is a more appropriate competitor to the m16. Even so, i am temped to say the m16 2023. It also has windows hello to log in, really nice keyboard, good thermals, though one zone rgb keyboard. The rest is all up to you
It is actually thinner than the NEW Blade 16, which is a more fair comparison to the M16. And for the same performance it costs considerably less. Great analysis however, thank you!
Oh absolutely, I ask if the blade should even be CALLED a blade anymore. 0.67 inches, now THAT is what qualifies as properly thin. its why I refuse to let go of my blade from 2021 back when it had the 'advanced edition' tag to it. but yeah, I love the M16, I wish the Animatrix feature was available in lower end models.
I see that the 4090 variant is still around 4200 CAD. Sure for a 4090, that is the general price bracket, but it isn't exactly a fully powered one. But that Anime Matrix feature on the lid I find to be super cool. Not sure if people would want to pay a high premium for that. How are you enjoying your M16 btw? What has your experience been like? Did you get it only for gaming?
Thank you Higor Vargas! Grateful for the encouragement! Hope to continue to bring out content that is useful for fellow gamers, creators, techies and tech-curious folks!
Does your CPU overheat? I got mine few weeks ago and I just realized CPU always go up to 95 degrees when running any games. You're right about the gpu does not overheat. Though I don't see any big throttling with the cpu when it's that high in temp
So i went back into my logs, during a hour long COD session, saw the cpu core temp max out at 99. With thermal throttling being triggered. But I do distinctly remember that the key board deck remained pretty comfortable
This was happening for me with my m16 2022 model, I saw a suggestion on reddit to open up the laptop and spread the liquid metal evenly on the cpu, boom my temps dropped nearly 15c on game load and idles now around 45-55c light task.
The touchpad must be nice! Even on budget Asus Tuf Dash F15 Asus cared to make good feel touchpad, but on the edges it doesn't click as good, but still would click under more pressure. As a fan of macbook touchpad, touchpad in Asus Tuf Dash F15 is close to macbook one, the surface is smooth, the accuracy is good, the click is light and easy. It only would be annoying if clicking in the corners and up of the touchpad, but it's very thin zone of annoyingness. Asus still must have greatest touchpads for the money across Windows laptops.
Oops, sorry about the late reply! It is a Huawei Watch 3. It is not generally availably in North America; Only the GT versions came here. Not sure why they do that. Are you looking to get a smart watch for yourself? anything in particular you are looking for?
Apologies for the late response! Well, 4070s are definitely going to be maybe 20-30% more efficient since they tend to max out at 100Ws and generally have a smaller footprint; but you will also then have lower performance on hand as well. What I have been observing is that the 4060 and 4070 have a small difference in performance and with 4060s also offering 8 GBs of VRAM like the 4070 (which can be helpful in you're into high texture games like MW2) , those devices can offer awesome value for money. Explore maybe a 4060 in a more portable machine. for 1080p gaming, it will be fantastic. but can also support 1440p. HEAT Management is going to depend on the machine though; for example, with my current device the Alienware X16 with the 4080, it is managing heat MUCH better than my 4070 devices I was using earlier. Coincidently, it also has absolutely horrible battery life, BUT, it comes down to the manufacturer; in my experience so far, M16 is going to gnerally give great battery life even if coupled with the 4090. Long story short, Efficiency, thermal management, , battery life, I would actually consider the Legion Slim 7i Gen 8 (EIGHT) with the 4060; it has good deals going on right now as well. Let me know what you finally decide on. :)
For the past 4-5yrs every time I've wanted to look at a laptop. In the end, it's always down to one of the Zephyrus G14/15/M16, etc. or something from the Legion line of Lenovo. Lenovo has won that battle for MY wallet twice now. But it's always a close race lol. The zephyrus line is outstanding. But it's always been Legion for me. Can't go wrong with either.
Haha. I understand your plight far too well. Though I feel that Legion may be getting left behind a bit at least in terms of software and even thermals. The M16 is a pretty good machine but a bit costlier than the Legion :/
@@J.Wick. I was exactly in your headspace till I tried the m16. The Asus armoury crate software might feel a bit tacky but it is quite capable. I am testing the Legion 9i lately the vantage software seems out of sync with the hardware. I used to absolutely love the vantage software but all I am saying is that it is not standing the test of time. At least for now from my POV :)
@@J.Wick. haha! At least I would have gotten paid by SOMETHING. I am only sponsored and motivated by getting people into PC gaming. Stop people spending on expensive iphones and consoles and instead get a nice laptop.
Hey bro! my m16 is idling like 55 to 65 degrees. is this normal for this laptop? The cpu seems to be Always very hot. even when browsing web it reaches 70+. The cpu easily reaches 95 degrees when doing gaming. should i take it for a diagnostic>
I dont have the m16 anymore on me but I pulled a few logs and during a game of god of war it could touch 95 sometimes.. i even saw 99.. and it would idle around same as well.. between 50 and 60.. did not check stats during browsing.. I think it should be okay but perhaps you could double check with asus customer care just to be sure.
Do all of these have the mini-LED panel? The nits are supposed to get over 900-950 on multi-zone mode and contrast should be way better. Best Buy has this for 1499.99 right now and I’m highly considering getting one over the legion 5i with the same specs as long as they all have the mini-LED panel..
So, at least in Canada, you can get the miniled optiom ONLY with the 4090 configuration. So be sure to double check from the local site. Get the SKU from bestbuy and confirm what youre getting.
I guess it would also depend on what deal is out there.if youre looking purely for performance per dollar, I believe a pro 5 legion will have crazy discounts right now with the 4070. I saw it at 1800 CAD on Canada Computers a few days ago.
would this be okay for streaming and using OBS Studios? I currently have a MacBook Pro & I got it in 2021 as a graduation present and it gets HOT when I use obs.
Hmm, you're right; OBS can be a bit resource hungry and playing a AAA title while streaming it can be stressful for a system. I no longer have the M16 for me to test it out on it though :/ Sorry! But generally speaking, in comparison to a Macbook, such laptops can be wayyyy better at managing the load especially with way more aggressive thermal systems. Hope that helps. Wish I could have tested the whole thing out for you. What kind of games or applications do you intend on using btw?
@@kazmiee I just wanna be able to use obs studios to cam tbh. I’ve tried lowering the settings and I also wiped it clean, so there’s nothing on it. I’m so confused 😫 I think it should be compatible with obs, but I might just need to get a gaming laptop.
@@kazmiee it feels really hoy on the right top. But when you drop a game its just amazing how they look. My only concern is that. If it can stay like hot all the time overthere. Not just playing, it keeps like that all the time.
Are you changing the modes in Armoury Crate depending on the task? For example, Performance or Silent for web browsing and Turbo for gaming and other heavy duty work. The only way that I can think of that it would always feel hot is if you had it set to Silent.
I think Legion knocks it out of the park over the M16, it just doesn't cool well enough. That and the hinge design is just a no no, it completely moves the laptop off the table to get easily moved around. The machined holes on the lid is a flashy thing that will end up get filled with dust and debris. I'm not a big fan of this one
Apologies for the really late response! you probably have already made your decision as well.. the 2023 model offers several worthy improvements over its predecessor and I think it would be worth paying a little bit extra for that IMO. The 4070 vs the 3070 will also naturally future proof better and there would definitely be discounts here and there. I have seen it go down to 2400 CAD a few months ago as well. Do let me know what you already have ended up doing or what you decide :)
@@kazmiee I saw someone is selling the 2023 model for 1950USD. In my country there are markets which sell laptops for different prices. For example, another person is selling 2023 model for 2200USD
Practically speaking, if both are roughly costing the same for you, Id probably go for the m16. It just offers a little bit more. You will have to compromise on the per key RGB though. :)
Those Height dimmensions 1.99 ~ 2.23 cm ( 0.78" ~ 0.88") - it's with the lid closed and 0.78 si at the front while 0.88 at the back ? I'm asking because in the past I remember Asus would provide 2 Height dimmensions, one for Lid open and one for it closed, but seeing how thick this Lid is, I doubt it's only 0.24 cm (0.09"), there's just no way. Also I assume those dimmensions don't include the huge "foot/stand" which runs along the whole back of the laptop....with that it's probably more like 3 cm (1.18") for sure. I saw it has some screws in it ( covered ). If you remove those screws, does it come off? TBH I think most people would be happier with it off and just stand on the Lid's stands, it would have a bit less airflow below, but those Lid stands don't even touch the surface if you don't tilt the screen waaaay back, which I'm not sure what person would do in a normal desk environment.... Also, with regards to the audio, it has dolby atmos,it's an app, not sure if it comes with it by defualt, but on my ROG G533QR ( ye, i know, pretty old ) it boosts the sound a lot in the dynamic mode.
The dimensions definitely do not include the feet. Sure the m16 has relatively tall feet but I strongly feel that they should not be removed despite the ergo lift. One might use it over different surfaces in which the ergo lift may not be very effective. I believe the lid would be even thicker in the 4090 model that houses the animatrix display. I dont think the m16 makes any big claims on its dimensions. Their newer stealth series seem to target that more at the cost of performance ofc. Regardless, i did like the portability factor on the m16 and how well the thermal management was on it
And about the sound, i remember I tried different modes and software but it did not exactly make me go wow. The alienware x16, on the other hand, which also has 6 speakers , now THEY are properly loud and made me think, these definitely have six speakers
@@kazmiee yeah, I guess the speakers are just better on the alienware, not much to do. I suggested the Dolby app ( it's actually called Dolby Access ) because on my ROG, the speakers were so damn low in volume, but after using this app and setting it to dynamic, the difference is huge, it boost the volume so much at 100% is uncofortable even...and it adds some kind of richness to the sound, it doesn't sound so "muted" anymore.
@@kazmiee yeah, I was just curious, obviously I doubt someone will remove the stand ( maybe if it's made to be removed by Asus and easily added back if needed, but I don't think that's the case). It's actually quite nice that it's there, I assume it also prevents the heat that hits the display to go back under the laptop, so this way it takes in cooler air. Having the laptop up a bit helps a lot with cooling, it actually is one of the most effective sollutions given how simple it is. My laptop currently also sits on 2 small supports that I put under it in each corner, it elevantes it like 1cm. It's a bit annoying when I move it around, given they're not attached to the laptop, I have to reposition them, but totally worth it because fans don't kick-in anymore unless I do something intensive. Previously it would have this weird behavior, despite not doing anything, fans would ramp-up for a while randomly and I think this caused it, the laptop wouldn't have access to cooler air so it has to compensate by moving the air faster for a short while. Now on light tasks such as browsing - which I'm doing now replying to you, it sits at 21-22 dB with both fans ~ 2000 rpm and it's barely audible....you don't notice it unless you really focus on it.
I felt that the backlight bleed was not too bad when I compared to the Legion. I mean for me Legions usually have perfect backlight spread. Naturally this can vary from unit to unit as well
Im wondering if I should wait for this to go on sale for Black Friday or buy last years i9 12900h rtx 3070ti for 1400 usd. The benefit of this machine is that it has better cooling (3 fans and rtx 40 series energy efficiency) swap able ram, better battery life for work, and better chassis with less fingerprinting, ditching the rubberized finish. I want this device to last years in gaming and work performance so should I wait for a sale on this model rn it’s 1950 usd
I imagine you already bought something, but Best Buy has the M16 marked down to $1,499 USD as part of their Black Friday sale. That's a steal. I bought my M16 3 weeks ago, but called their customer service the other day and had them price match and refund the difference.

I remember that windows recognized it. And games did too. But naturally "true" HDR would be better experienced in the miniled SKU that is for sure. The SKU i had a screen going around 450 nits which is still a bit average for HDR content

Asus set the limit for the M16 at 4800 MHz, even though the hardware can do better. But, I've read comments and also heard other content creators say that Asus is considering increasing the max speed to 5600 MHz via an update. I'm holding off on upgrading my ram until I can confirm this one way or another.
You would be absolutely right. It is very difficult to defend the blade at its current price point. It is almost senseless! Especially with their newer 16 and 18 series becoming even thicker. A main selling point for the blade was that 0.67 inch thickness.
Honestly, I am sad that I missed reviewing more popular devices this year like the G14 and the Legion 5. I will definitely get my hands on it when their next iteration comes out. For now I am looking to review the Asus Zenbook Pro 16X UX7602. It is just my absolute favorite device this year. It is like it was tailored exactly for me. I am excited to put something out soon - currently I am just using it during my day to day and testing it out. But yes, thank you for the suggestion. Will definitely be on the lookout for such an opportunity
you are abosolutely wrong about the hot air on the screen... almost 3 years and no complaints have been filed about having any issue with hot air blowing on the screen.. also those laptops are not meant to be on your lap... seriously dude?
I always hoped to be wrong about that. I mean, Asus isnt crazy for making the same design choice for the past few generations on the M16. I really really did like the M16. I never thought anyone would be able to take away the Legion Slim 7 milk bottle from me but yeah man the M16 did it. Also, completely agree that these things are supposed to be used on a proper table BUT on occasion, it can happen that id be in the train or just sitting on the couch writing out a document and putting the LAPtop.. on the lap was just comfortable im terms of writing posture when a proper table was not available. I know these things are 'gaming' devices but in today's world they need to be able to satisfy many requirements in one package. And for me, one of them includes being efficient and portable enough to be a writing companion when I am out and about. Either way, glad you're enjoying the M16. Are you looking to upgrade now from 3 years ago? I think the 2023 model brought some really nice design choices including the 3rd fan.
It has gotten discounts recently - so at 2400-2500 CAD; it actually is not bad; but yeah, there are many who still rely on a 2.5 gigabit ethernet jack; Unfortunately, many manufacturers are shying away from the ethernet jack. E.g. the newer Legion 7 has just a 1 gigabit connection which I think is a little sad as well. I think this will get the same 3.5mm headphone jack treatment unfortunately.
i love the zephyrus lineup. the keyboard is centered, there is 3d face recognition, the trackpad is big enough, its literally a gaming laptop with the macbook design(that i love a lot)
Man just called my favorite laptop the poor man's Razer Blade 😅
Oh man can you believe it? The blade 15 with an under powered 4070 costs near 4000 CAD. It is just stupid expensive.
Well it kinda is. Like their build quality for instance, the Razer uses actual unibody aluminum, while Asus only uses a Plastic-metal mix.

Instead of sharing a link to the EQ software that some users may be apprehensive to use, I'll just share a link to the TH-cam video that talked me through the entire process instead...from finding and installing the required software, to setting it up.
th-cam.com/video/gGIjfyMN0dg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=U05dIU1OgUpdCH1v
Just be sure to do everything in the same order that the content creator did.
No regrets!
That is awesome. Glad you're enjoying your purchase. Hope it continues to treat you well :) do write back if you find any change in your experiencea

I'm confused between the m16 and Lenovo legion 5i pro, they have the same price in my country, what do you think?
3:00 I had no idea about the other variant of the laptop and I already bought this one, since at least I know it's good hahaha

Asus still must have greatest touchpads for the money across Windows laptops.
totally off subject, but what watch are you wearing??
Oops, sorry about the late reply! It is a Huawei Watch 3. It is not generally availably in North America; Only the GT versions came here. Not sure why they do that. Are you looking to get a smart watch for yourself? anything in particular you are looking for?
How much does the CPU temps go up to maximum? Does it go above 80?
Between 50 to 70 All depends tho having good air flow can affect the temps
Hey should i get the 4070 or the 4080, i'm scared of heating and battery life for the 4080
Apologies for the late response! :)

would this be okay for streaming and using OBS Studios? I currently have a MacBook Pro & I got it in 2021 as a graduation present and it gets HOT when I use obs.
Hmm, you're right; OBS can be a bit resource hungry and playing a AAA title while streaming it can be stressful for a system. I no longer have the M16 for me to test it out on it though :/ Sorry!
Anyway, I wanted to say, great video, rarely any content creators go into such quality of life details, keep it up!
Fan test in 3070 ti vs 4070 models zephrus m16, and also does 4070 model have screen bleed in dark mode like the 3070 ti ?
I felt that the backlight bleed was not too bad when I compared to the Legion. I mean for me Legions usually have perfect backlight spread. Naturally this can vary from unit to unit as well
Can you try out the crew motorfest on the m16?
Hey. Thank you for the request. Unfortunately I no longer have the m16 with me anymore. :(
@@kazmiee awe man…well from the video it seems pretty good. I’m thinking the omen 16 or the m16
@@reaperleviathan8976 if the omen is not substantially cheaper, id stick with the m16
@@kazmiee aight thank you
Im wondering if I should wait for this to go on sale for Black Friday or buy last years i9 12900h rtx 3070ti for 1400 usd.
Intend to use them in performance mode not turbo unless gaming hardcore
I personally think the 2023 model is definitely worth waiting to go on sale as well
It’s on sale today (goes off of sale tomorrow) at Best Buy currently for $1599 USD fyi. Just bought one myself 😊
I imagine you already bought something, but Best Buy has the M16 marked down to $1,499 USD as part of their Black Friday sale. That's a steal. I bought my M16 3 weeks ago, but called their customer service the other day and had them price match and refund the difference.
Can you expand the RAM on this laptop?
Yes. Both slots! 2 sodimms. Thank you for your question
@@kazmiee thank you so much for the response!!!🩶
I just got it but the space button fell mushy is that normal?
Oh hey congrats on getting a great device? which config did you get? I hope you got the 4090 one with the "AnimeMatrix" lid. I reaaaally like that one. Anyway, I dont recall the spacebar feeling "mushy" ; I dont have the device anymore to share a recent viewpoint But generally I really liked the keyboard overall.
Does it support 64/96gb ram?
I think it should support 64 but not sure about 96 :/
Which SKU offers miniLED?
4080 and higher I believe.
are we sure this variant has HDR? I don't think it does
I remember that windows recognized it. And games did too. But naturally "true" HDR would be better experienced in the miniled SKU that is for sure. The SKU i had a screen going around 450 nits which is still a bit average for HDR content
@@kazmiee in display capability settings, I see "HDR Video streaming = supported, Use HDR = Not Supported" . Is this what you see?
@@skeletronmw I had to return the device to manufacturer unfortunately so I cannot check now
@Technic-Ali hey can you help me with my gpu? i just got this laptop and im not too good at setting everything up, if you could help me out with the setup of GPU i would greatly appreciate it! i downloaded Warzone and it wont let me play because it says my GPU is inactive..
Hey Karl. Thanks for reaching out. Inactive seems like a pretty strange error. I would suggest the following steps. Search for geforce experience in start.. run the app , log in and and go to drivers tab and search for updates. 2) open up Rog Armory Crate.. you should see GPU setting in the main dashboard.. from there select 'ultimate' setting. It will probably ask for a restart.. then try warzone again and let me know how that works. Thank you
@@kazmiee I JUST OPENED THE GEFORCE APP AND IT WANTS ME TO ACCEPT AND CONTINUE SO I DID THAT, NOW IT WANTS ME TO SIGN IN? BUT I HAVE A QUESTION BEFORE I SIGN IN, I HAVE A GAMING COMPUTER THAT USES GEFORCE APP TO HANDLE MY GRAPHIC UPDATES AND STUFF, BUT MY QUESTION IS IF I SIGN IN WITH MY INFORMATION.. WILL IT MESS UP SOMEHOW BECAUSE THE GEFORCE APP WILL BE SIGNED IN UDER ONE ACCOUNT BUT FOR 2 DIFFERENT DEVICES? THE LAPTOP IM ON NOW, AND MY GAMING PC AT HOME?
@@MrReeUp nope. Wont mess anything up. Go ahead and sign up
@@kazmiee ok i signed in i checked for updates. this is how i update my pc at home. theres a update there from the 16th, so ima download that quick. but you mentioned this "2) open up Rog Armory Crate.. you should see GPU setting in the main dashboard.. from there select 'ultimate' setting. It will probably ask for a restart" where do i find this at??
@@MrReeUp when you open armory crate, go to home screen where all the stats are shown. Towards rhe right you will see a section for GPU mode. Under that click Ultimate
After seeing the Asus zenbook pro 14, the zephyrus line just seem irrelevant now.
They both are different beasts
If possible, can you please share the specific SKU for the zenbook pro 14? Thank you!
@@kazmiee UX6404VI, would be interesting to get your take on it, judging by your M16 review it would be right up your alley!

Can someone please clear up the max speed the RAM can run at?
On Best Buy’s website, the QA section shows both 4800. MHz max and 5600 MHz max.
I would assume since it’s an i9 it could support 5600, but I can’t get a definitive answer. Please help so I can order the ram upgrade soon.
Sorry for the late reply, you probably have your issue resolved by now, but I understand from the intel website that the i9 13900H can support up to 5200 MT/s
Asus set the limit for the M16 at 4800 MHz, even though the hardware can do better. But, I've read comments and also heard other content creators say that Asus is considering increasing the max speed to 5600 MHz via an update. I'm holding off on upgrading my ram until I can confirm this one way or another.
@@edwinramos4910 That is helpful to know! thank you for sharing that with us!
@@edwinramos4910 I ended up buying it and upgraded the ram. It’s registering 5200 but won’t go up to 5600 yet
M16 & G15 > any razer blade tbh
Wayy better value
Which one is poor man’s razer blade💀
You would be absolutely right. It is very difficult to defend the blade at its current price point. It is almost senseless! Especially with their newer 16 and 18 series becoming even thicker. A main selling point for the blade was that 0.67 inch thickness.
How do I connect my router if it doesn't have an Ethernet port?
You can get type C based ethernet jacks if you want to connect using a lan cable.
Can you do a video on this vs the zephyr is g14
Honestly, I am sad that I missed reviewing more popular devices this year like the G14 and the Legion 5. I will definitely get my hands on it when their next iteration comes out. For now I am looking to review the Asus Zenbook Pro 16X UX7602. It is just my absolute favorite device this year. It is like it was tailored exactly for me. I am excited to put something out soon - currently I am just using it during my day to day and testing it out. But yes, thank you for the suggestion. Will definitely be on the lookout for such an opportunity

Подписался! Привет из Украины ❤🇺🇦. Не знаю, какой из ноутбуков выбрать: Rog Flow X16 2022 года или 2023 года, но дороже😢
you are abosolutely wrong about the hot air on the screen... almost 3 years and no complaints have been filed about having any issue with hot air blowing on the screen.. also those laptops are not meant to be on your lap... seriously dude?
I think the 2023 model brought some really nice design choices including the 3rd fan.
too much issues for that price its a shame, + gaming pc at this price without an ethernet, this is shameful
