I personally love my Paperwhite. I was looking into upgrading to an Oasis, but I just can't justify the money right now. I don't feel like it does so much more that it's worth the extra money, especially when its so much extra money.
At first I loved the oasis warm light but then started to realize the color made me sleepy. A bit too comforting. When I read with the colder blueish color that helped keep me alert and awake to continue reading. To each his own.
The bezel being much smaller on the Oasis at the top and bottom definitely makes it a much more pleasant looking read to me. Too pricy though, basically a cyber monday only buy.
If the Kindle Oasis 3 has more contrast than the Kindle Oasis 2, then I will order the KO3. I love how dark and sharp the text was on the Kindle Voyage.
My Voyage just died to rain damage (left it on top of my car when leaving work eek!). I loved it... and I'll miss the haptic page turns in the bezel. I wish they hadn't discontinued it.

Ideally, the Paperwhite 5 will have USB-C charging, the warm light display, and autobrightness, though I'm not sure how much I'd use this last function, as I usually just keep my screen brightness on the dimmest setting (but still on) 24/7. For now, I'll stick to using the Paperwhite 4. Maybe I'll grab orange/yellow tinted glasses to make the blue-ish hue of the screen less blue. But come on Amazon. Where is the USB-C? Hell I'll even take QI charging. Btw, I'm just not a fan of the form factor of the Oasis. I understand that the lack of symmetry is for ergonomics, but it just distracts me too much. Maybe we can have a Paperwhite that is 1" or 2" smaller and perhaps one that is 1" larger, although the current size is quite nice. What are your thoughts? EDIT: I forgot to mention I'd like thinner bezels and no "kindle" branding on the chin. I'm not asking for a lack of bezels, but if they were thinner, it would also make the device lighter and more elegant. Also, put the power button back on top of the system. But I was thinking should I buy the Kindle Paperwhite as well as I’ve heard that the battery lasts for weeks on Paperwhite on a single full charge, this is extremely tempting for me as I read for hours daily. Or is there no point in buying the Paperwhite if I already own the Oasis??? Please advise???
I cannot see the need to spend extra money for kindle oasis. Kindle Paperwhite is actually good enough and economical for everyone. One hand can hold the Kindle Paperwhite, with many days of battery power and easy to carry than oasis. Other than oasis screen is slightly bigger, almost everything are about or near the same.

I've tried it again and again, and the result is always the same. I think it is because an image on Paperwhite is less contrasted, than on Oasis. Letters on Paperwhite are a bit "greyish", therefore the whole image is less screeming. Am I the only one that feels that way?

The Voyage has a terrible front light. It’s extremely uneven near the top half. I’ve been through like 8 of them, it’s impossible to find one without the unevenness at the top. Such a shame, I really liked how dark and crisp the text was on that thing.

I love the warmth of Oasis light, nothing worse than staring into a blue light while reading.. If I wanted that I would read on my PC... But first Oasis was pretty warm colored as well and looked pretty much the same. I really still dont see the reason to upgrade from Oasis 1 to 2 or 3.
In Belgium I have no choice, german amazon doesn't deliver oasis here so the price difference is now over 200 euros with paper white, so yea I bought paper white

I would probably wait to get a discount on the Paperwhite. I mean it is not bad after you get used to it, but still, I wouldn't do it again. Another thing that helped like a lot was to use the default font type. It's the best one in my opinion. Many people like the basic. I'm just not among those xD. My suggestion: wait to get a discount on the other one.
Something nobody says, the oasis is the only reader on planet that have the front panel in glass. Paperwhite, as every other readers, kobo included, is plastic

The Kindle Voyage still has the best contrast of any Kindle. The Oasis has slightly less than it, and the PW4 has slightly less than the Oasis.
