I got this as my first Kindle, coming from Android. I'm really satisfied with the product. I can read more now using ambient light, and only need to use the built in light the dark. You can turn off full page refresh and it'll change pages a little faster , you might notice ghosting but it's very difficult to notice with only text, also this helps save battery. I like how you can read PDFs relatively easily on it too. Additionally the construction is very solid in the hands and not heavy, with a clean design because the screen sits at the same level as the frame.
How can you turn off full page refresh? I really need it to read Arabic script (I don't know why it's so slow to process Arabic script, maybe because it has many diacritics I think). But I couldn't find it in the settings...
I would suggest Replay by Ken Grimwood The novel tells of a 43-year-old man who dies and wakes up back in 1963 in his 18-year-old body. He then relives his life with all his memories intact of the previous 25 years. This happens repeatedly with the man playing out his life differently in each cycle.
That was random. I’ve read Replay many years ago and suggest it to everyone. Nobody has ever heard of it though and seeing someone say they’ve read it when I’m watching a review video was just, yeah, random. I only stumbled upon it because I enjoy time travel.
I have this kindle! Love it! Got for April birthday last yr . Has increased reading 50 % due to backlite , able to change prints size and darkening . Really great for older eyes starting to fail . I also like being able to sort my books into files of genres.

Thanks for the preview. I got my father a kindle back in 2012 or 2013 and he pulled it out today and started using it again, I took a look over it and saw that it still connected and did all the things it did back then. Was given to my son as gift on Dec 31 2019. October 31, 2020 it died. Sucks. And since it was bought by relatives in the US and we are in Asia, theres nothing that we could do...even though the warranty should have been good at that time. It's so slow and laggy. I cant even put pdfs in it because it would just freeze the device. I wish we got one of those BrandX made in China tablets instead. Because if those broke down, I wouldnt be surprised and it would have been value for the money.
I would love to see how the Audible works on it. I am so behind that I don't even know how to use bluetooth. Wow. I'm officially old. Anyway, I got a gift card so I treated myself to one of these a couple of months ago. I don't swim/do beaches/read in tub, but I love the waterproof feature because I'm always out and about. I used to always have to put my various ereaders in a plastic bag when it would rain. Now I don't have to worry! Yeah, it's not the fanciest. But it works well for me. Hi, can I ask you which one is the previous model that have these buttons on the left and right for a page forward and page back, please? Thank you for your video and time! :)
Does this kindle display Collections? My older kindle doesn't do this and its so much easier to organize into collections when you have so many saved in the library
The supposed long battery life is described by Amazon as "1/2 hr a day for 6 weeks" which equals 21 hours. I'd call that a fairly short battery life, and I'm glad I know that before I receive mine and am disappointed about this, like so many people.
It's 21 continuous hours without charging. Do you read for that long without taking a break? Assuming you even read for 16 hours a day straight, you'd charge it before going to bed right?
Don't really understand why they put the audio book function into it. You can always listen to some audio books on your smartphone with bluetooth or plugin earbuds. what we need from kindle is ink screen.
I like mine. good choice if you want a kindle to take out of the house and leave the Oasis at home. BUT you need to wait till your library is 100% indexed by the device before trying audible or it was freeze and skip.
I had a Paperwhite a few years ago. I liked the size, it fit easily in my purse. One day, I went to use it and it had a weird symbol on the screen and never would charge again. 🤷♀️
I'm confused... I have the same kindle but I can't find anything about bluetooth? the box looks the same but maybe mine is different it looks exactly the same
The fact that the device is charged so infrequently only makes it more important for me that it would be usb-c compatible. If I use a cable once every few weeks I can guarantee you it will get lost at some point and then I will have no cable to charge it with because all my other devices are usb-c. Heck even Nintendo opted for usb-c.
I just thrifted one of these. I am not the biggest reader but i want to get into it more. Plus as i love Audible i hope for the Kindle unlimited to be good to.
I have the paperwhite 10th generation for a year now and I'm still watching these videos. What in my life went wrong?

Assuming you even read for 16 hours a day straight, you'd charge it before going to bed right?
Does it make your eyes tired using it with his illumination?
Don't really understand why they put the audio book function into it. You can always listen to some audio books on your smartphone with bluetooth or plugin earbuds. what we need from kindle is ink screen.
The leather cover greatly improves the reading experience.
In what way?
In what way?
In what freaking way?
@@keyboardwarrior.2741 Feels like a book cover and it adds grip so the device doesn't slip from your fingers.

Buy a much cheaper one. From Pro elite, it has the same feel.
You got me so excited about playing audiobooks from my kindle 😅
Thanks for the video!, this Kindle have own ilumination?
8 GO is sufficient? and, if not can we buy extra GO up to 32 GO after we bought the Kindle with 8 GO?
Nope..
Connect the micro USB charger and try pressing the power button for 30 seconds
Mine doesn't have the next in series option. Any advice on how to turn that on?
I'm confused... I have the same kindle but I can't find anything about bluetooth? the box looks the same but maybe mine is different it looks exactly the same
My Kindle PW 10th have not Bluetooth in Wireless option. What may be the reason for this?
The fact that the device is charged so infrequently only makes it more important for me that it would be usb-c compatible. If I use a cable once every few weeks I can guarantee you it will get lost at some point and then I will have no cable to charge it with because all my other devices are usb-c. Heck even Nintendo opted for usb-c.
Waiting for my delivery, very excited. Is it safe to charge with an iPhone block? 2nd question does the screen get scratches easily?
The Kindle Paperwhite is a pretty convenient e-reader. Good that it has a mediatek chip
Hi the Kindle versions in US are better than the ones available in India. If I get Kindle from US will it function properly in India? Please suggest
