Without a doubt, the best golf instructions on the internet. I have had some great teachers until I moved who were simplistic and clear, and Danny reminds me of them and to stop thinking too much and just have a couple of swing thoughts. Danny is just so clear and concise and really connects with the average golfer. Well done Danny!
I agree. Teaching all the technicals is interesting but does nothing for me if it's not connected to how it's all supposed to "feel" in the end. Danny's videos have been an epiphany for me this week after having gone down the TH-cam golf instructor rabbit hole the last 6 months or so. So glad I finally found his channel.
This is probably the most important lesson. I struggle with my driver but "flow" is just letting the club do what it does. Driver or 8 iron. Seriously, this chap has an holistic perspective, it's helped me. Thank you!!!!
I know that this video is 3 years old but its still giving amazing help to players like me. my last few months I had lost all confident in hitting my driver to the point I didn't bring it out of my bag that last few games I have played. you have me back to hitting my driver. Thank you Danny.
It took me a couple of weeks of practice, but this technique improved my distance by 10 to 25 yards depending on the club I used. I got the most benefit out of planting my feet to shift my weight. Relaxing and incorporating a smooth rhythmic motion in my swing feels great. I make better contact with the ball and have improved my accuracy tremendously. Thank you, Danny!
I’ve seen 3 of your videos that have had a tremendous impact on my game. I’ve taken bits and pieces from live instructors and other online to mold my game, but you sir are a MASTER at the spoken word and demonstration. I’m a completely different golfer because of you. THANK YOU!
Hello Danny, I've been golfing for around 7 years, playing around 8-12 HCP - until about 8 months back lost my reliable 280 carry drive!!! SO "thought" a new Titleist TSi3 would fix it!!! :)) (was gaming a 913D3 b4) then blamed the TSi3 (OF COURSE) for the weak left snap hooks :)) Scratched rounds together with great approach and short game/putting but started to fear the tee box UNTIL - saw - watched - took a virtual lesson with you -using this video as a guide AND the lightbulb went off- THANKS TO YOU - i was no longer PRELOADING my left side (as I previously when had my reliable slotted SWING) - played today - 300/290/ 275 (etc.etc in a happy sweater) drives - baby mid level missile draws (as an artist I'm a happy camper with draws - cutting out the right side as Hank Haney loves!:)) THANKS A MILLION mate - if ever you're in Vegas pal gis us bell - I'm from Wembley originally - living here in Vegas - playing the Golf Coast (North Berwick, Gulilance - Archerfield etc next week - so FEEL confident again THANKS TO YOU mate- cheers pal xxx) Simon
A brand new golfer here👋🏼. A buddy of mine told me to come and start watching these videos. I started out with my irons and getting those shots down, and than started working on my driver. This helped immensely and my drive is starting to look a lot better
Ok. After a horrible knee injury I was apprehensive to play golf again. I did play a few rounds but was totally put off and was about to quit playing permanently. I was watching my usual videos and came across this. I must say it opened my eyes and gave me so much hope. I went to the range and watched this video over and over again. After hitting my last practice ball my love for the game was reignited. I still have lots of work to do but it’s getting better all the time. Thank you Danny. I’m subbed and ready to begin a new chapter in golf. Nothing but good times ahead.
This is really great advice. A lot of times with any sport, when you’re in your head, you don’t make any progress. Get to a point of swinging so freely and carelessly that you start having fun at the range. You will eventually catch on to something that works
I'm an amateur. Never been taught by an instructor or classes. I have been watching your videos for awhile now and my progress has improved. I was also complimented on my swing a few days ago. Your videos are easily followed and your directions help out a ton.
Took up golf this year and have been struggling for consistency in my swing, particularly with the driver. Breaking this down is a huge help and getting my arc more fluid! Excellent content Danny 👍🏼
Finally!!! This is the best driver swing video ever. Have been struggling with driver for months. "You're starting the downswing from the wrong leg" "Form the platform and let it go" Had watched tons of videos and even took a couple of lessons. Noone ever mentioned these 2 tips. Thank you so much Danny!!!!
Alright, I’m a 26 handicap golfer. Over the past 12 months there have been two break throughs. The first was your iron striking video. And then today I implemented this video. My previous best score was 94. Today I hit an 82!!! (61net) Everything just clicked. Thanks Danny, absolutely loving the simple techniques!!!
Wish we had the ability to watch world class tutorials on line when i was younger as was self taught.Watching Dan Grieve chipping tutorial has like lifted the fog which plagued my short game as he made it look so simple and i got almost instant results. Now looking to improve my driving .Will watch this as reminder just before i hit my first shot next time i get opportunity to get to the range.Watched another video that described the going down at start of downswing as like about to sit on a chair but love the way you teach as you keep it simple. So like my chipping it would be amazing if got near instant results.Never in my life have i hit driver properly as like said i am self taught never had a lesson (should have), so will follow your brilliant instruction as best as i can with correct set up at address which mine was just so wrong (zero shoulder tilt). Thanks Danny.
I want to thank this man, for empathising with someone who has never played the game and is just starting. Golf can be intimidating to get into. I’m sure many teachers would never do what he just did because they want to show they are pros. Thank you for this video. I actually look forward to trying again.
Thats great James and welcome to the game of golf. Theres lots to learn but take your time, keep things simple and enjoy the journey. Im still learning every day and loving the process
I have been following you for at least a year and really find your content accessible. Meaning that most other instructors make it too convoluted and hard to put in practice. Your instruction is great! Anyways, THIS video changed my driving forever. I've seen hundreds of driver videos, but this one hit home! I was averaging about 230 and a slow fade. Now, I'm hitting about 260-275 much straighter and with less thought and effortlessly. Thanks Danny! You rock!
Just found this channel. I watched 3 of your Driver videos and went to the range the next day. Warmed up and practiced everything in the video, alignment, moving ball back a bit more in stance, slightly closing club face, really worked on transferring and shifting that weight from back to front foot and following though high not low within maybe 10 balls I was blasting them down the fairway. I’m a 10hp player but have always been i consistent with driver and 3W. This was a great lesson.
I was suffering from some back issues so I decide to watch "how to swing the club easier" and found this. Wow unbelieveable I wish I found this 20 years ago. Most golf how to videos too many mechanics going on e.g. take the club back 45 degrees cock wrist, then bring it up and rotate around spine then post to your left side; i believe this is how I injured myself. How can all this happen in less than 2 seconds. I've watched touring pro's driver swing and its identical to what you are teaching. None of them are consciously cock their wrist etc. its just up, thru and up; just one simple motion. I played twice in the last two weeks after a year layoff and incorporated your swing technique, I just couldnt believe it so effortless no pain and gained 20 yards straight and draw balls.
Took up golf 9 months ago and been battling with driver ever since some weeks I drive pretty good but the slice has really crept back in. Watched this video and went to the course the same day, 1st drive went 200 yards but really high, 2nd tee shot went way left but after that I hit every drive straight as an arrow. Well explained and really does feel effortless, I was forcing the swing path before but now I just let the club do the work and it really does work, did for me anyway. Top coach right here, makes it so simple unlike so many others out there. Top man Danny 👌🏻
worked like a charm, I usually struggle with my driver since I'm relatively new to the game, hitting big fades, pushing it right, lacking distance, etc. After watching this video and having a short practice session I was legit bombing my drives down the fairway I missed 1 out of 7 fairways with almost all of them being well over 230m with a relatively effortless swing. Thanks Danny for the excellent content.
Mr. Maude, I've been playing for 25 years and I've always struggled with my driver. Topping, slicing, hooking...terrible! Typically shoot mid 90s. After having a horrendous round last week I discovered this video and your instructions just made sense to me! Yesterday I watched your video at the range and followed along. I really focused on "turning off my arms" and allowing the club to naturally flow. I'm an athletic male and I've always tried to muscle the club and steer it. Bad!! Relax arms and shoulders, turn and allow the flow! Good!! Today I shot my personal record in my Wednesday work league and set the league record! 1 over! 37! Thank you very much Danny! Subscribed and donation sent!
In my opinion, one of the most important videos you've produced. A golfer can have the fundamentals down pat, but if he's not tension free, he'll most likely hit the ball all over the place and probably injure himself to boot. Length and accuracy relies on a tension free swing. Bravo to you Danny for revealing what most other teachers fail to mention. Someone once asked Sam Snead to describe his swing. He said 'my mind is blank, and my body is loose as a goose', and he wasn't kidding.
@@DanielMaude Yes he was. He also said this, when asked to describe his swing 'I wind up my body... pause... and unwind my body. That, in a nutshell, is my swing'. And that, in a nutshell, is about the best description of a golf swing I've ever heard.
I’ve said it before but it’s so true, you are truly an extremely gifted instructor! I’m practicing with you as my instructor and my game is steadily improving. Thank you so much, I’d love to be able to do a lesson with you one day, my golf buddies would hate me and that would be totally awesome 😂. Thanks again and I hope you and your loved ones are all safe and healthy.
Went to the range after watching this video and felt like I had a eureka moment. I actually saw the exact same video but he was using an iron. Thought I was going crazy. But I honestly love the fact that he’s pretty much reiterating the same concepts over and over. I’ve seen so many videos and this video is finally the one that got me over the stiffness in my swing and started swinging more freely.
HI Danny, Among all these golf teaching videos in TH-cam, yours are the best. Clear and convincing. Learned a lot. Lucky to have you with us. Keep going, Danny.
Brilliant video Danny, i have been watching your videos for just over month, after starting playing golf again from an 8 year break due to an injury, the videos are easy to understand, and i have now stop hitting over the top by following your videos and hitting the ball 90% of the time towards my target
Thank you Danny. This video and drills has been a god send to my swing. No longer slicing, but "drawing" some. Less is more and I will take accuracy over odd distance sprays all over the place. Letting go and just swinging has an amazing boost in confidence in my driver as I hit the back fence (200yds) at the range today numerous times. Again, thank you kind sir.
Great tips. Your explanations are so easy to understand. You repeat things in such a simple & informative way for us hackers. You are by far the BEST Golf Coach on U.Tube IMHO. All the best Danny, thank you & hope you're healing 🏌
I practiced the last 5 weeks just the mechanics of these shots. Finally Today I but then on the course in an intelligent way at my home course . I know where my problem shots are on my course and I placed myself into such danger zones . 100/60/20 meter shots . Where I used to use a full 3/4 iron shot .. I now used your pitching / chipping tips . This put me into par birds positions where I never 3 putted or 2 chip duff . Was an amazing confidence booster . Thanks . But everyone watching needs to put in the work . I save you’re videos in my favorites and watch them during my practice seasons . Great stuff
This video has turned my slice into a draw and fixed my steep downswing. I have implemented it into my irons and I am hitting them consistently also. Thank you very much Danny.
Don't lose that steep dowsing with your low irons. There's a different swing for Woods and irons. When I first started I only hit irons cause I killed them. Once I learned the Driver and 3 Wood swing I lost my nice chunky divots with irons and didn't hit them nearly as long or straight. So I do the proper swing in my practice swing for the particular club then do it and now it's all come together much better
Hi Danny, I'm a long term subscriber to your channal and find your content professional and easy to follow. I am a 10 handicap but have been struggling with my game of late, last Sunday i shot 93 the 19th wasnt a good place to be. I cought one of your lessons last week where you gave a drill of taking you set up and looking back over your trail shoulder on the backswing. I worked on that all last week first no club then incorporated an 8 iron but never hit any balls. I played on Saturday and incorporated this drill into my Pre shot routine, I shot 82 with 7 pars and 2 birdies. I would recommend this drill to golfers of any level. Thank you for sharing your content with us your a star.
The fact the he addressed that people have different swings and we should find OUR swing, proves he is a great teacher. Most of these guys try and get us to perfectly mimic curtain motion that doesn’t suit our body type
Once again, great advice. Danny, youre a great instructor. I tried this lesson on the course today and it did wonders for my driver. It will no longer just go for a ride in the bag!
Best driver tip ever! Just getting back into golf after several years away. I’ve been so frustrated with not being able to hit my driver. Too many swing thoughts! I went to the range this morning after watching this video and my drives were so much better. I swung freely and felt the release. I can’t wait to play a game and see how it goes. Thanks so much, Danny! You have a wonderful teaching style.
Hello Danny, This vidéo change my "golf" life... That's incredible ! The release from the top of the body (relax) is absolutely essential. Less and less slice and distances that increase unbelievably (280 yards). And it also works for irons. RELEASE the body to respect the bow of the circle. Thank you for this video which I find is essential for all amateur golfers in the world !!! Kind regards from France and all the best for you and your family. Tony
Danny's just great to watch. So simple and so engaging and entertaining. I put his "letting go " into practice and what a difference it made. Hitting much longer (and straighter) than I have ever done. And I am definitely in the "senior" category (although not in my mind!). Just shows, you can always improve regardless of age. Can't wait to get out on the course this year and put his tuition into practice. Keep the tuition coming, Danny.
I just discovered Danny and instantly became a fan of his instructions. I struggled for months and after watching this video once, I went from the embarrassment of my group to jaw dropping drives in one day. I went from slicing almost every drive to hitting 11 fairways today and cranking a 330 yard drive on a Par 5. Thanks Danny!!!
Your swing guides are simple and easily applied. Followed your “momentum” idea last week with my irons - and let the club do the work. Best round in months. Thanks!
This technique worked really well for me, especially were Danny talks about horizontal force. The example he gives makes complete sense and is fairly easy to put in to practice. I was having a problem not coming through with my weight transfer and went to the range with these exercises. I'm pleased to say that I saw some immediate improvement in my ball striking because I was coming through much better. I will add though, I found it worked a little better for me when I started off some slight weight forward. Also, don't forget to use Danny's 101 count to pace yourself and I think you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was about how well these exercises worked.
I've struggled with a terrible hook with my driver since I started playing and this is the video that finally allowed me to start hitting it straight and more controlled. Thank you, Danny!
Brilliant stuff - as usual. Definitely my favourite golf instructional videos. Always breaking things down into easy-to-understand, relatable and achievable exercises that you can take to the range and course. Thanks Danny 👍
Happy New Year Danny and thanks for all your tips. The best one of the year for me was turning the club head 30 degrees at address to get a stronger grip (driver). Slices are a thing of the past - just the occasional "fade"! Unfortunately it doesn't work with the rest of the clubs but working on that. I love reading all the comments you get as it shows how many of us suffer with the same or similar problems. One of note is how many of us have fantastic practice swings but lose it when a ball gets in the way. We need to loosen up and "let go" as you say. Cheers for now and I'm sure we'll all continue to do our best for you!
I watched this video last night as I was struggling with my driver. Had a big hook and it was pissing me off. Watched this video and was planning on playing today. Took this lesson to the first tee box. First tee shot was 280 carry down the middle! I was so shocked. Hole 3 was a par 3. On the tee at 3, I implemented this swing thought again. Bombed it 310 down the right side of the fairway! This has changed my entire game. Thank you so much. Liked and subscribed
This video has helped me so much, I'm getting about 150 yards with just the arm motions so hopefully i can keep learning and progressing from here on out.
HAPPY 2021 to all Danny’s community from Italy 🇮🇹 !!! I think we’re very lucky for having met Danny and his weekly incredible helpful videos. I wish you Danny all the best in 2021 both from a personal and professional points of view. You deserve it ! Take care Manuel
Honestly, this is one of the best videos I've ever watched. Thank you so much, even for a lefty this translated perfectly and has largely cured my slice, just need to add speed now.
Good explanation of leverages to unload all kinetic energy. I am a lifelong learner, lover of the swing and playing my best golf. These concepts will take time to master with multiple trips to the driving range to form (AND REMEMBER) the habits into your personal swing that it takes to impregnate them. It’s worth it! Make a range schedule/plan and stick with it. All right, back to the range for me, I’m amped!
Hey Danny, I've watched a lot of your videos as I am just getting back into golf after about 20 years out of more than once year on the course. I'm 72 this year and have just pretty much retired from my business. Plenty of time for the course now. The main issue I am trying to sort before playing regularly is the driver. It has been all over the place. Traditionally I have had a big slice so used your tips to moderate that. Now I hit a mix of slight fades, small draws and perfectly straight drives BUT its inconsistent with occasional 20+ metre slices and hooks and lots of pulls making hitting the middle difficult to predict. After watching this video I went to the backyard and did lots of practice swings using the tips. Felt much better so then to the driving range. Took about 15 balls to relax and feel comfortable letting it go then a miraculous thing happened. I started regularly hitting 205-215 metre drivers with a spread pattern of 10m either way. When hitting left it was more directional with curve down to under 2m. Still had a few slices but nothing bigger than 20m curve. But the average went from 180 to 185 with some 195 plus and occasional 200 and a bit to average of 195 with regular 205-215 and the range program showed an average curve of 2m left and offline 7m right. Wow! At my age I realise this is probably the best my length will be. (Although last time on the course, very tired at 18th tee, I just took a laid back approach and got an amazing feel. Couldn't find the ball up to 200m. As the hole was directly into the setting sun I figured maybe it went left or right and hit a replacement ball to the green. Then 50 m further on dead centre there was my original ball) I noticed all my 195m plus hits at the range were 6 to 7 degree launch angle and around 145 kph anything higher or lower dropped the distance, ball speed and affected the accuracy. I then added a rigorous pre-shot setup making sure I was the same distance from the ball each time, moved left foot to exactly the same spot and then positioned the right in the same spot (just behind the line of left with both turned slightly out. Rotate club head to 11 o'clock, ensure shaft pointed back at armpit, slight tilt toward back leg then straight left arm swing and power swing using the tips here. Every time I swung correctly I could hear the club whoosh and felt the ball power off the sweet spot. At last a methodology to get repetitive results. Now let's see how it translates to the course. :) Thanks for the video.
I feel like the two things I think about in the back swing is rotation of the shoulders as far as you can while keeping both arms straight, then with the left arm straight, bringing the club over your dominant shoulder. I feel like that helps me to get a better set up than thinking about too much. It always starts with the shoulder and hip rotation first for me, then bringing the club over the shoulder.
I was exactly what described at the beginning of the video. I watched this video and BOOM about 30 yards further AND straight down the fairway. Fantastic instruction! Now on to his irons and short game videos..... I can't wait.
Danny, this was huge. You got a subscriber out of me for sure. All I did was, as you say, “let go” and get that free feeling pendulum going and then switched to the up and down with that pendulum. What a HUGE difference my friend!! Thank you!! I have finally figured out that the more intention you put into your swing, the more it gets screwed up. Let the natural momentum do the work and the power comes. Well, as long as your grip is correct, lol. Pretty cool. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
You nailed it Danny. I play in senior men's leagues and I see guys standing over the ball for what seems like 5 seconds before swinging and then muff the shot. Thanks Danny
Another great video Danny, just got back from playing at my club (9 holes as in Tier 4) and have been practicing the catapult method you taught on the last video and it really has given me extra yardage and allowed me to par 3 of the 9 holes. Thanks Danny, keep up the great work.
This is the clearest beginner driver tutorial i've seen - been playing for about 6 months now and never been able to hit driver properly, this explains it so well!
Bloody hell Danny the way you explain these video lessons is like being there in person, superb way of breaking it down in a way to put it into an actual move and an actual workable outcome 👍🏻🏌🏻♂️⛳️ happy 2021 Danny and hope the injury heals soon 👍🏻
Hey Danny, I’m really starting to develop a better golf shot and am becoming more consistent. Still make a real dud shot every now and again but I’m a lady 9 hole player, 58 years old, started to play golf 3 years ago and have not played much during Covid. However, I’m just practicing the swing in my home. I have got to the range now and it feels good. Thank you so much 🇿🇦
1yr later, how’s the driver buddy? I know that tension! It’s tough to shake off, but it fades when you pick a spot and put a confident swing on it. You can think about the shot after you’ve hit it lol. Cheers!
@@-juicyjayt drive it pretty consistently now, had a few lesson with my club pro, on a good day baby draw, on a bad day a big fade but playable and the odd WTF’s thrown in every now and then.
Thanks for your instruction videos. I only started playing recently (or playing regularly) and am consistently 43 over par. The driver has been staying in the bag, notwithstanding the 550 yard hole on my local course (duh) and I’ve been focusing on consistency rather than power (I hit less distance than I should on all my clubs, but working on keeping out of the trees - it is a work in progress). I was chatting to someone on the course today who was better than me but tended to hook his driver and recommended your simple to understand video instruction. Keep it up - it is much appreciated.
This is a much needed video. I didn’t understand how people seem to go down into the swing and somehow come back up. You showed me that it’s the way you set up the body and push up on each leg for the correct position. A lot of people talk about it but no one breaks it down this well! Thanks for another great video!
@@DanielMaude I’ve got fine tuning to do but went to the range Saturday and this helped me tremendously! Today I fine tuned it a little and was able to fully swing my driver and iron and get real distance… and they went straight!
Danny... I love and agree with your swing philosophy. As an ex baseball player I have the tendency to use my baseball skills in my golf swing. Could you also include your setup and grip technique to help complete the driver swing.
Hello Danny, I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for all your content on your channel. My wife and I are new to the game. We’ve taken a couple lessons here in the U.S. However, we came across your channel and inserted some of your techniques to our game and I can’t believe the difference it is making. We played 9 holes the other day at our local course. Before watching your videos I was shooting a 62 on a par 33 9 hole course. After watching some of your videos, I went from a 62 to a 47. Thank you so much! Keep them coming!
I’m not generally one to get too involved in comments, but credit where it is due!!! Considering I’ve watched this video once and had only a few practice swings on the range before my game today... WHAT A GAME CHANGER!!! The relaxed approach worked wonders! Shot 41 on the front 9 with 2 lost balls! These came when I tried to control the club like my old swing. The start from the knees rotation for chipping also has worked well. Most importantly, like your athlete golfer who gained 40 yards carry, I was able to straighten the ball and hit the driver solid by stopping all the tensing and thinking. Really very impressed by your style and ability to convey feel and thoughts. Well done sir. 👏👍
This video re-invigorated my love for this game that I just started learning a few months ago. I've got lots of work to do, but this swinging drill really helped!
I’m beginner golfer that started playing with a really old driver I bought taylormade m3 driver and couldn’t swing it correctly. I was so bad that I broke the top face of the driver. The video really helped me with being less tense. I use the “1,2” with most of my swings and I feel myself more relaxed Great video 👍
@@DanielMaudecurrently a 13 hdc, you’re the only yt golf instructor that I listen to literally. I posted this comment about 2 months after I got into the game now I’m nearly 2 years in and have learned so much from you man
Thank you. Thank you and did i say thank you? Ho yes i think i did. I have been paying gold for almost a full ok 6 weeks. I did stop thinking about every little details and now i can hit my ball every time. Ok not perfectly But way better. I think i forgot to say thank you.
Excellent video. I had lesson focusing on driver a couple of weeks ago due to struggling with loft. The lesson made my driver worse, tried to implement what I was taught and noticed little gains. What I was disappointed with after such a good iron, lessons had had with the same person. Watched this a few times, tried these tips at the range over the last two weeks and there have been a noticeable improvement. Thank you.
Excellent lesson Danny, I've been focusing so much on my grip and position with driver and not my body. This gives me a whole new perspective on the shot. Looking forward to trying this at the range tomorrow. Thanks and Happy New Year
Man, I bought a new driver and for the life of me I could not hit it. A taylormade R15. I couldn't even get the ball off the ground barely, and I was hitting low duck hooks at best. I watched this video. Went to the range and got myself loose using these motions you showed. Literally my first shot I smoked it straight as an arrow. I had been struggling with this driver for 2 weeks and this video fixed it. I'm a 30 handicap beginner and I hit every drive except 1 into the fairway when I played 9 today.
best golf video I've ever seen. I love all your videos Danny. But this one is incredible for me because I'm able to hit some great drives, but only some of the time - super inconsistent. The swinging off the back leg as you described -is almost always the problem. thinking of it the way you explain it really helps! your right hand only drill helped me too... but this here is gold. simple and be fluid vs a million thoughts that make it too mechanical. well done sir :) thanks so much!
First step - loose grip, loose joints. Loosen up by swinging it back and forth. Tried it today on the course. Game changer. Usually o putting the driver back in the bag with a red face but today it was great - ok, I need more distance but it is a start. Thanks Danny
Thank you Danny! I’m glad I found this video, as this was a huge help for me and my game. I’m driving the ball straighter and further…and saving money by not losing as many balls.😂
Hi Danny love your lessons nice work. Since watching your videos my driving has gone from a 150m slice to a 220-230m consistently straight amd slight draw and it feels so easy it doesn’t feel right. Slow and smooth smooth is fast 👍👍👍
This is the best golf instructional video for using a driver I've ever seen. Thank you Danny!
That’s wonderful to hear 🤜🏻🤛🏼
Without a doubt, the best golf instructions on the internet. I have had some great teachers until I moved who were simplistic and clear, and Danny reminds me of them and to stop thinking too much and just have a couple of swing thoughts. Danny is just so clear and concise and really connects with the average golfer. Well done Danny!
Thanks so much for the feedback Mike. Really do appreciate it
Without any doubt, the best video on the Internet. We'll done Danny.

I agree. Teaching all the technicals is interesting but does nothing for me if it's not connected to how it's all supposed to "feel" in the end. So well explained nice one👍
Hit a 3 wood. You give up maybe 10-12 yards, and have more sweet hits. first time I broke 80, my driver was being refinished..
I know that this video is 3 years old but its still giving amazing help to players like me. my last few months I had lost all confident in hitting my driver to the point I didn't bring it out of my bag that last few games I have played. you have me back to hitting my driver. Thank you Danny.
@zenphillips7998 that’s great to hear. Well done 👏
New golfer and this makes more sense than anything else I’ve watched. Can’t wait to take this to the range
Love to hear how you get on
It took me a couple of weeks of practice, but this technique improved my distance by 10 to 25 yards depending on the club I used. I got the most benefit out of planting my feet to shift my weight. Relaxing and incorporating a smooth rhythmic motion in my swing feels great. I make better contact with the ball and have improved my accuracy tremendously. Thank you, Danny!

Thanks so much for your kind words really appreciate it
Hello Danny, I've been golfing for around 7 years, playing around 8-12 HCP - until about 8 months back lost my reliable 280 carry drive!!!
That’s wonderful John, any questions just ask
I have learned much from Danny. He’s the bestest.
Finally!!! This is the best driver swing video ever.
Have been struggling with driver for months.
"You're starting the downswing from the wrong leg"
"Form the platform and let it go"
Had watched tons of videos and even took a couple of lessons.
Thats amazing Ian, well done
You rock!
Thats brilliant Brook, thanks for taking the time to let me know
Just found this channel.
That’s brilliant Joshua, thanks for taking the time to feedback
That’s brilliant to hear Don well done
best TH-cam golf lesson I've ever seen wish I could like this more than once so happy I stumbled on this !
Really hope it helps your golf James
Took up golf 9 months ago and been battling with driver ever since some weeks I drive pretty good but the slice has really crept back in. Watched this video and went to the course the same day, 1st drive went 200 yards but really high, 2nd tee shot went way left but after that I hit every drive straight as an arrow. Well explained and really does feel effortless, I was forcing the swing path before but now I just let the club do the work and it really does work, did for me anyway. Top coach right here, makes it so simple unlike so many others out there. Top man Danny 👌🏻
Thanks for the support Don, all the best
worked like a charm, I usually struggle with my driver since I'm relatively new to the game, hitting big fades, pushing it right, lacking distance, etc. After watching this video and having a short practice session I was legit bombing my drives down the fairway I missed 1 out of 7 fairways with almost all of them being well over 230m with a relatively effortless swing. Thanks Danny for the excellent content.
Amazing! Thanks for sharing
@dcarp757 that’s amazing well done 👏. Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I really do appreciate it 🙏🏻
His “bad slice” would be a “I’m back baby!” for me 😅
In my opinion, one of the most important videos you've produced.
Mr Snead was some swinger
Thanks so much for takin the time to comment, means a lot 👍
Ju
One of the best videos ...no technical mechanical complicated stuff....instead the big picture.....thank you.
Pleasure, hope it helps your golf
I genuinely appreciate that he understands that there are golfers who have to swing around injury.
Thanks for the feedback
Went to the range after watching this video and felt like I had a eureka moment. I actually saw the exact same video but he was using an iron. Thought I was going crazy. But I honestly love the fact that he’s pretty much reiterating the same concepts over and over. I’ve seen so many videos and this video is finally the one that got me over the stiffness in my swing and started swinging more freely.
Just started golfing as an adult after having played a bit as a kid. This honestly makes the most sense and gives me the best takeaways. Thank you!
Love to hear how you get on Richard
HI Danny, Among all these golf teaching videos in TH-cam, yours are the best. Clear and convincing. Learned a lot. Lucky to have you with us. Keep going, Danny.
Very kind of you Juan
Brilliant video Danny, i have been watching your videos for just over month, after starting playing golf again from an 8 year break due to an injury, the videos are easy to understand, and i have now stop hitting over the top by following your videos and hitting the ball 90% of the time towards my target
Amazing! Well done Kev
That’s brilliant
I cant stop watching these. Danny you have taught me so much. Thanks again
My pleasure Jhank
Great tips. Your explanations are so easy to understand. You repeat things in such a simple & informative way for us hackers. You are by far the BEST Golf Coach on U.Tube IMHO. All the best Danny, thank you & hope you're healing 🏌
Thanks for the support, really happy to know the lessons are helping
Gotta say, this is one of the clearest explanations ive ever seen.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the feedback
Dan the man.
Great stuff
100% well done 👍 thank you for taking the time to comment love hearing how people get on 😁⛳️
After 3 months of frustrating golf. I literally did this in the driving range yesterday and it all made sense. Thank you
This video has turned my slice into a draw and fixed my steep downswing. I have implemented it into my irons and I am hitting them consistently also. Thank you very much Danny.
Amazing! ~Well done. Thanks for taking the time to share
Thank you for the feedback. I think you just need to look on the PGA tour to see how different everyone swings
Thanks Lynn that’s great to hear thank you for taking the time to comment 🙏
There's are alot of great advice out there but Danny 's is so clear and simple. Great vid.
I appreciate that 👍
Hello Danny,
This vidéo change my "golf" life...
Thanks for the support Bill, all the best for 2021
I just discovered Danny and instantly became a fan of his instructions.
Thanks!
Amazing! Well done
Thanks so much for the support James
This video Changed everything especially as a sporty person, I could grasp the way you taught the swing! 👌👌👏🏽👏🏽
Glad you enjoyed it Clinton

I watched this video last night as I was struggling with my driver. Had a big hook and it was pissing me off. Watched this video and was planning on playing today. Took this lesson to the first tee box. First tee shot was 280 carry down the middle! I was so shocked. Hole 3 was a par 3. On the tee at 3, I implemented this swing thought again. Bombed it 310 down the right side of the fairway! This has changed my entire game. Thank you so much. Liked and subscribed
This just makes so much sense. I've always felt my swing was manufactured and only occasionally effortless. Thanks Danny..... here goes
My pleasure John, all the best
This advice has improved my swing a lot and given me more freedom, I am 73 years old. thanks Danny.
Pleasure John thanks for taking the time to comment, appreciate it 👍
This video has helped me so much, I'm getting about 150 yards with just the arm motions so hopefully i can keep learning and progressing from here on out.
That’s wonderful Seth, thanks for sharing
HAPPY 2021 to all Danny’s community from Italy 🇮🇹 !!! I think we’re very lucky for having met Danny and his weekly incredible helpful videos. I wish you Danny all the best in 2021 both from a personal and professional points of view. You deserve it ! Take care Manuel
Happy new year!! Have a great 2021 Manuel
Honestly, this is one of the best videos I've ever watched. Thank you so much, even for a lefty this translated perfectly and has largely cured my slice, just need to add speed now.
That’s amazing Jonathan thanks for taking the time to feedback
Good explanation of leverages to unload all kinetic energy. I am a lifelong learner, lover of the swing and playing my best golf. These concepts will take time to master with multiple trips to the driving range to form (AND REMEMBER) the habits into your personal swing that it takes to impregnate them. It’s worth it!
Make a range schedule/plan and stick with it. All right, back to the range for me, I’m amped!
Thanks, Danny - fantastic as ever! Love the focus on momentum and feel; so appropriate for so many of us
Glad you enjoyed it!
@GaryBigelow-t6m that’s fantastic. Thank you so much for your comment and for watching. Enjoy practicing. Let me know how you get on 🙏🏻
I feel like the two things I think about in the back swing is rotation of the shoulders as far as you can while keeping both arms straight, then with the left arm straight, bringing the club over your dominant shoulder.
Another great breakdown, from one of the best on Y Tube.
Very Much appreciated Stephen, all the best for 2021
Danny, this was huge. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Absolutely Scott, well done
By far the best Golf Coach on TH-cam - puts it into simple terms that can be implemented
Really kind, I know there are some great coaches online
You nailed it Danny. I play in senior men's leagues and I see guys standing over the ball for what seems like 5 seconds before swinging and then muff the shot. Thanks Danny
So true Vic
Another great video Danny, just got back from playing at my club (9 holes as in Tier 4) and have been practicing the catapult method you taught on the last video and it really has given me extra yardage and allowed me to par 3 of the 9 holes. Thanks Danny, keep up the great work.
Nice work Colin 👍
This is the clearest beginner driver tutorial i've seen - been playing for about 6 months now and never been able to hit driver properly, this explains it so well!
Thanks Edward!
Thank you so much 🇿🇦
It's the one swing I struggle with, soon as I step up to the ball, I can feel the tension build up. Will definitely give this a go for sure.
Let me know how it goes
I was chatting to someone on the course today who was better than me but tended to hook his driver and recommended your simple
to understand video instruction. Keep it up - it is much appreciated.
Danny this is fantastic! I can tell you love what you do. Thank you! I’m going to watch this a few times and give it a go!
Hope it helps your golf Jeffrey
This is a much needed video. I didn’t understand how people seem to go down into the swing and somehow come back up. You showed me that it’s the way you set up the body and push up on each leg for the correct position. A lot of people talk about it but no one breaks it down this well! Thanks for another great video!
Thank you 😁 happy to help 👍
@@DanielMaude I’ve got fine tuning to do but went to the range Saturday and this helped me tremendously! Today I fine tuned it a little and was able to fully swing my driver and iron and get real distance… and they went straight!
Danny... I love and agree with your swing philosophy. As an ex baseball player I have the tendency to use my baseball skills in my golf swing. Could you also include your setup and grip technique to help complete the driver swing.
absolutely, will introduce soon
Hello Danny, I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for all your content on your channel. My wife and I are new to the game. We’ve taken a couple lessons here in the U.S. However, we came across your channel and inserted some of your techniques to our game and I can’t believe the difference it is making. We played 9 holes the other day at our local course. Before watching your videos I was shooting a 62 on a par 33 9 hole course. After watching some of your videos, I went from a 62 to a 47. Thank you so much! Keep them coming!
this is really good. In searching for control, I've drifted to the opposite of what you are saying. Excited to try it with a club in the hand!
Best of luck Mike
Watched this today after struggling to find some form..took your advice and worked into my own swing.Made my day..huge success..thank you..
Brilliant, thanks for sharing David
I woke up early here in the US awaiting your video. Happy New Year! I am going to finally break 90 this year, thanks to you.
Awesome I will be with you every step of the way, all the best for 2021
This video re-invigorated my love for this game that I just started learning a few months ago. I've got lots of work to do, but this swinging drill really helped!
Just seen your "let it go" iron striking video too and this approach is just what I need right now. Thanks!
My pleasure Andrew, all the best
Simplest and best explanation of the swing on the Internet or anywhere. Thanks!
Yet another great video Danny, thank you and happy new year!
I’m so excited for this years golf goals🙏🏼
Happy new year Danam, all the best for 2021
I’m beginner golfer that started playing with a really old driver I bought taylormade m3 driver and couldn’t swing it correctly. I was so bad that I broke the top face of the driver. The video really helped me with being less tense. I use the “1,2” with most of my swings and I feel myself more relaxed
Great video 👍
That intro is crazy because that is literally me😂 knowing I went over every step and still slicing. Had to sub bro this is so helpful
Welcome to the channel 🤜🏻🤛🏼
Just started and I find myself trying to remember 10 tops all at once 😂. Spoiler alert: it always ends in disaster

Thanks and Happy New Year
You are very welcome Marc, have a great weekend
Man, I bought a new driver and for the life of me I could not hit it. A taylormade R15. I couldn't even get the ball off the ground barely, and I was hitting low duck hooks at best. I watched this video. Went to the range and got myself loose using these motions you showed. Literally my first shot I smoked it straight as an arrow. I had been struggling with this driver for 2 weeks and this video fixed it. I'm a 30 handicap beginner and I hit every drive except 1 into the fairway when I played 9 today.
Danny, I love how easy and relatable you explained that golf swing. Thanks. Can't wait to hit the range 😊
Best content on TH-cam by far in my opinion. The way you break down instructions is brilliant keep up the great videos Danny 👍👍

3 years later and this comment is still relatable
best golf video I've ever seen.
Happy New Year Danny.
Another great lesson, relax and flow. Thank you.
Happy new year Trevor, all the best
First step - loose grip, loose joints. Loosen up by swinging it back and forth. Tried it today on the course. Game changer. Usually o putting the driver back in the bag with a red face but today it was great - ok, I need more distance but it is a start. Thanks Danny
Thank you Danny! I’m glad I found this video, as this was a huge help for me and my game. I’m driving the ball straighter and further…and saving money by not losing as many balls.😂
Brilliant! Well done Shane
Your videos are the best! They are straightforward, easy to understand and take to the practice range! Thank you for making them so accessible!
Hi Danny love your lessons nice work. Since watching your videos my driving has gone from a 150m slice to a 220-230m consistently straight amd slight draw and it feels so easy it doesn’t feel right.
Slow and smooth smooth is fast

That’s awesome Gareth, thanks for sharing
