Without a doubt, the best golf instructions on the internet. I have had some great teachers until I moved who were simplistic and clear, and Danny reminds me of them and to stop thinking too much and just have a couple of swing thoughts. Danny is just so clear and concise and really connects with the average golfer. Well done Danny!

I agree. Teaching all the technicals is interesting but does nothing for me if it's not connected to how it's all supposed to "feel" in the end. Danny's videos have been an epiphany for me this week after having gone down the TH-cam golf instructor rabbit hole the last 6 months or so. So glad I finally found his channel.

This is probably the most important lesson. I struggle with my driver but "flow" is just letting the club do what it does. Driver or 8 iron. Seriously, this chap has an holistic perspective, it's helped me. Thank you!!!!

Hit a 3 wood. You give up maybe 10-12 yards, and have more sweet hits. first time I broke 80, my driver was being refinished..

It took me a couple of weeks of practice, but this technique improved my distance by 10 to 25 yards depending on the club I used. I got the most benefit out of planting my feet to shift my weight. Relaxing and incorporating a smooth rhythmic motion in my swing feels great. I make better contact with the ball and have improved my accuracy tremendously. Thank you, Danny!

Hello Danny, I've been golfing for around 7 years, playing around 8-12 HCP - until about 8 months back lost my reliable 280 carry drive!!! SO "thought" a new Titleist TSi3 would fix it!!! :)) (was gaming a 913D3 b4) then blamed the TSi3 (OF COURSE) for the weak left snap hooks :)) Scratched rounds together with great approach and short game/putting but started to fear the tee box UNTIL - saw - watched - took a virtual lesson with you -using this video as a guide AND the lightbulb went off- THANKS TO YOU - i was no longer PRELOADING my left side (as I previously when had my reliable slotted SWING) - played today - 300/290/ 275 (etc.etc in a happy sweater) drives - baby mid level missile draws (as an artist I'm a happy camper with draws - cutting out the right side as Hank Haney loves!:)) THANKS A MILLION mate - if ever you're in Vegas pal gis us bell - I'm from Wembley originally - living here in Vegas - playing the Golf Coast (North Berwick, Gulilance - Archerfield etc next week - so FEEL confident again THANKS TO YOU mate- cheers pal xxx) Simon

Ok. After a horrible knee injury I was apprehensive to play golf again. I did play a few rounds but was totally put off and was about to quit playing permanently. I was watching my usual videos and came across this. I must say it opened my eyes and gave me so much hope. I went to the range and watched this video over and over again. After hitting my last practice ball my love for the game was reignited. I still have lots of work to do but it’s getting better all the time.
Thank you Danny. I’m subbed and ready to begin a new chapter in golf. Nothing but good times ahead.

A lot of times with any sport, when you’re in your head, you don’t make any progress. Get to a point of swinging so freely and carelessly that you start having fun at the range. You will eventually catch on to something that works

Wish we had the ability to watch world class tutorials on line when i was younger as was self taught.Watching Dan Grieve chipping tutorial has like lifted the fog which plagued my short game as he made it look so simple and i got almost instant results. Now looking to improve my driving .Will watch this as reminder just before i hit my first shot next time i get opportunity to get to the range.Watched another video that described the going down at start of downswing as like about to sit on a chair but love the way you teach as you keep it simple. So like my chipping it would be amazing if got near instant results.Never in my life have i hit driver properly as like said i am self taught never had a lesson (should have), so will follow your brilliant instruction as best as i can with correct set up at address which mine was just so wrong (zero shoulder tilt). Thanks Danny.

Your instruction is great! Anyways, THIS video changed my driving forever. I've seen hundreds of driver videos, but this one hit home! I was averaging about 230 and a slow fade. Now, I'm hitting about 260-275 much straighter and with less thought and effortlessly. Thanks Danny! You rock!

Just found this channel. I watched 3 of your Driver videos and went to the range the next day. Warmed up and practiced everything in the video, alignment, moving ball back a bit more in stance, slightly closing club face, really worked on transferring and shifting that weight from back to front foot and following though high not low within maybe 10 balls I was blasting them down the fairway. I’m a 10hp player but have always been i consistent with driver and 3W. This was a great lesson.

I was suffering from some back issues so I decide to watch "how to swing the club easier" and found this. Wow unbelieveable I wish I found this 20 years ago. Most golf how to videos too many mechanics going on e.g. take the club back 45 degrees cock wrist, then bring it up and rotate around spine then post to your left side; i believe this is how I injured myself. How can all this happen in less than 2 seconds. I've watched touring pro's driver swing and its identical to what you are teaching. None of them are consciously cock their wrist etc. its just up, thru and up; just one simple motion. I played twice in the last two weeks after a year layoff and incorporated your swing technique, I just couldnt believe it so effortless no pain and gained 20 yards straight and draw balls.

Took up golf 9 months ago and been battling with driver ever since some weeks I drive pretty good but the slice has really crept back in. Watched this video and went to the course the same day, 1st drive went 200 yards but really high, 2nd tee shot went way left but after that I hit every drive straight as an arrow. Well explained and really does feel effortless, I was forcing the swing path before but now I just let the club do the work and it really does work, did for me anyway. Top coach right here, makes it so simple unlike so many others out there. Top man Danny 👌🏻

worked like a charm, I usually struggle with my driver since I'm relatively new to the game, hitting big fades, pushing it right, lacking distance, etc. After watching this video and having a short practice session I was legit bombing my drives down the fairway I missed 1 out of 7 fairways with almost all of them being well over 230m with a relatively effortless swing. Thanks Danny for the excellent content.

Mr. Maude, I've been playing for 25 years and I've always struggled with my driver. Topping, slicing, hooking...terrible! Typically shoot mid 90s. After having a horrendous round last week I discovered this video and your instructions just made sense to me! Yesterday I watched your video at the range and followed along. I really focused on "turning off my arms" and allowing the club to naturally flow. I'm an athletic male and I've always tried to muscle the club and steer it. Bad!! Relax arms and shoulders, turn and allow the flow! Good!! Today I shot my personal record in my Wednesday work league and set the league record! 1 over! 37! Thank you very much Danny! In my opinion, one of the most important videos you've produced. A golfer can have the fundamentals down pat, but if he's not tension free, he'll most likely hit the ball all over the place and probably injure himself to boot. Length and accuracy relies on a tension free swing. Bravo to you Danny for revealing what most other teachers fail to mention. Someone once asked Sam Snead to describe his swing. He said 'my mind is blank, and my body is loose as a goose', and he wasn't kidding.

    • @DanielMaude
      @DanielMaude  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @RT-Ford

@@DanielMaude Yes he was. He also said this, when asked to describe his swing 'I wind up my body... pause... and unwind my body. That, in a nutshell, is my swing'. And that, in a nutshell, is about the best description of a golf swing I've ever heard.

Don't lose that steep dowsing with your low irons. There's a different swing for Woods and irons. When I first started I only hit irons cause I killed them. Once I learned the Driver and 3 Wood swing I lost my nice chunky divots with irons and didn't hit them nearly as long or straight. So I do the proper swing in my practice swing for the particular club then do it and now it's all come together much better

I am a 10 handicap but have been struggling with my game of late, last Sunday i shot 93 the 19th wasnt a good place to be. I cought one of your lessons last week where you gave a drill of taking you set up and looking back over your trail shoulder on the backswing. I worked on that all last week first no club then incorporated an 8 iron but never hit any balls. I played on Saturday and incorporated this drill into my Pre shot routine, I shot 82 with 7 pars and 2 birdies. I would recommend this drill to golfers of any level. Hello Danny,
This vidéo change my "golf" life... That's incredible !
The release from the top of the body (relax) is absolutely essential.
Less and less slice and distances that increase unbelievably (280 yards).
And it also works for irons. RELEASE the body to respect the bow of the circle.
Thank you for this video which I find is essential for all amateur golfers in the world !!!
Kind regards from France and all the best for you and your family.

Hitting much longer (and straighter) than I have ever done. And I am definitely in the "senior" category (although not in my mind!). Just shows, you can always improve regardless of age. This technique worked really well for me, especially were Danny talks about horizontal force. The example he gives makes complete sense and is fairly easy to put in to practice. I was having a problem not coming through with my weight transfer and went to the range with these exercises. I'm pleased to say that I saw some immediate improvement in my ball striking because I was coming through much better. I will add though, I found it worked a little better for me when I started off some slight weight forward. Also, don't forget to use Danny's 101 count to pace yourself and I think you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was about how well these exercises worked.

Happy New Year Danny and thanks for all your tips. The best one of the year for me was turning the club head 30 degrees at address to get a stronger grip (driver). Slices are a thing of the past - just the occasional "fade"! Unfortunately it doesn't work with the rest of the clubs but working on that. I love reading all the comments you get as it shows how many of us suffer with the same or similar problems. One of note is how many of us have fantastic practice swings but lose it when a ball gets in the way. We need to loosen up and "let go" as you say. Cheers for now and I'm sure we'll all continue to do our best for you!

I watched this video last night as I was struggling with my driver. Had a big hook and it was pissing me off. Watched this video and was planning on playing today. Took this lesson to the first tee box. First tee shot was 280 carry down the middle! I was so shocked. Hole 3 was a par 3. On the tee at 3, I implemented this swing thought again. Bombed it 310 down the right side of the fairway! This has changed my entire game. Thank you so much. Liked and subscribed

Good explanation of leverages to unload all kinetic energy. I am a lifelong learner, lover of the swing and playing my best golf. These concepts will take time to master with multiple trips to the driving range to form (AND REMEMBER) the habits into your personal swing that it takes to impregnate them. It’s worth it!
Make a range schedule/plan and stick with it. All right, back to the range for me, I’m amped!

Hey Danny, I've watched a lot of your videos as I am just getting back into golf after about 20 years out of more than once year on the course. I'm 72 this year and have just pretty much retired from my business. Plenty of time for the course now. The main issue I am trying to sort before playing regularly is the driver. It has been all over the place. Traditionally I have had a big slice so used your tips to moderate that. Now I hit a mix of slight fades, small draws and perfectly straight drives BUT its inconsistent with occasional 20+ metre slices and hooks and lots of pulls making hitting the middle difficult to predict. After watching this video I went to the backyard and did lots of practice swings using the tips. Felt much better so then to the driving range. Took about 15 balls to relax and feel comfortable letting it go then a miraculous thing happened. I started regularly hitting 205-215 metre drivers with a spread pattern of 10m either way. When hitting left it was more directional with curve down to under 2m. Still had a few slices but nothing bigger than 20m curve. But the average went from 180 to 185 with some 195 plus and occasional 200 and a bit to average of 195 with regular 205-215 and the range program showed an average curve of 2m left and offline 7m right. Wow! At my age I realise this is probably the best my length will be. (Although last time on the course, very tired at 18th tee, I just took a laid back approach and got an amazing feel. Couldn't find the ball up to 200m. As the hole was directly into the setting sun I figured maybe it went left or right and hit a replacement ball to the green. Then 50 m further on dead centre there was my original ball) I noticed all my 195m plus hits at the range were 6 to 7 degree launch angle and around 145 kph anything higher or lower dropped the distance, ball speed and affected the accuracy. I then added a rigorous pre-shot setup making sure I was the same distance from the ball each time, moved left foot to exactly the same spot and then positioned the right in the same spot (just behind the line of left with both turned slightly out. Rotate club head to 11 o'clock, ensure shaft pointed back at armpit, slight tilt toward back leg then straight left arm swing and power swing using the tips here. Every time I swung correctly I could hear the club whoosh and felt the ball power off the sweet spot. At last a methodology to get repetitive results. Now let's see how it translates to the course. :) Thanks for the video.

I feel like the two things I think about in the back swing is rotation of the shoulders as far as you can while keeping both arms straight, then with the left arm straight, bringing the club over your dominant shoulder. I feel like that helps me to get a better set up than thinking about too much. It always starts with the shoulder and hip rotation first for me, then bringing the club over the shoulder.

All I did was, as you say, “let go” and get that free feeling pendulum going and then switched to the up and down with that pendulum. What a HUGE difference my friend!! Thank you!! I have finally figured out that the more intention you put into your swing, the more it gets screwed up. Let the natural momentum do the work and the power comes. The driver has been staying in the bag, notwithstanding the 550 yard hole on my local course (duh) and I’ve been focusing on consistency rather than power (I hit less distance than I should on all my clubs, but working on keeping out of the trees - it is a work in progress). I’m not generally one to get too involved in comments, but credit where it is due!!!
Considering I’ve watched this video once and had only a few practice swings on the range before my game today... WHAT A GAME CHANGER!!! The relaxed approach worked wonders! Shot 41 on the front 9 with 2 lost balls! These came when I tried to control the club like my old swing. The start from the knees rotation for chipping also has worked well.
Most importantly, like your athlete golfer who gained 40 yards carry, I was able to straighten the ball and hit the driver solid by stopping all the tensing and thinking.
Really very impressed by your style and ability to convey feel and thoughts.
      Well done sir. 👏👍
