So I have reviewed a few like this, it shares the same chassis as the JJRC Q39, the Feiyue FY03 Desert Eagle, and is very similar to the WLtoys 12428. I would say this is stronger than the WLtoys, and built better. Metal diffs, bearings, brushless outrunner motor, and fully hobby grade electronics, not the normal combined 2 in 1 esc/receiver.
Eachine have rebranded the Feiyue FY03H, and I'm not sure how they get away with it, unless they are co owned by Feiyue? Who knows! But we see a lot of Chinese RC Cars that are copies of other brands.

Not a surprise really. My Virhuck V01 is the same as the Feiyue and is exactly the same right down to the TX

I carry the smallish FY03H in a small backpack when hiking, along with two 2700 2S lipos. And the beach hikes are even better now.

The wheels, internals and controller of this truck are identical to the Feiyue FY-07. So for Eachine they Frankensteined an FY-07 with a FY-03 body. Tip for the on/off switch: glue/tiewrap it to the battery tray and you will no longer have to unplug it when you open the body.

same as Virhuck V-01 and other WLtoys 12428 clones of course, unstable turning rolling and flipping they're much better suited to gearing down into the dirt to be a crawler/bouncer for trail running, softening the shocks and 10t pinion does it nice.

oh.. move the steering ball to the inside hole of the servo arm, doesn't limit steering too much, gives steering lots more torque tho.

The WLTOYs has 550 motor.
60a esc $15, MG servo $7, rx$7..a 2200 mah 35C will make it do a back flip from a stand still.Pop wheelies on command.it's do 45-50 Mph..EASY...just get oil shocks $12. lower the springs, lower the battery tray....14mm hex 1/10 wheels/off road wheels are only $12 p/set.
hex extension are only $7 p set. metal drive line are only $7...
you only need the rear.
I just mounted the wheels and tires from the KT-12...hex extensions.
I have them all different configurations and One stock.
You can build a little 50mph beast for $120 if you know what ya doing.
Then again i've only paid $115-$130 for all my 1/10 brushless trucks.lol
It;s not a big deal...I get use 1/8 rollers for $100.slap in 4076-4092 120a-150A ($80-$100)..make those go 50mph too.
Lipo are also getting cheaper. You can get 2s 5000 mah 50C for $12.
it's the 5000mah @ 50C...it's like running a 3s 25.lol

you can get a 2220 2700Kv for $7, now.

It is a nice looking vehicle but I will not buy another eachine vehicle ever again due to the lack of parts and their customer service SUCKS! If you cant find the parts or something of theirs there is no way to contact them AT ALL. This vehicle, however, will be easy to find parts for due all the different types of them out there. nice video Phil keep up the good work my friend.

My missus bought me one for Xmas but the most bizarre thing it has no on or off switch...it’s perm on love it.... extenders make it a lot more stable I think... great vid dude 👍👍👍👍👍

Yeah like others have mentioned there extenders but dunno if its camera angle but they look huge. Probably for to fit larger offset monster truck rims so now fouling on the chassis!

My red brushless FY03H was delivered yesterday. I haven't run it yet because I've been too busy drooling over it. It's gorgeous 😍 I'm still waiting for the hop up dampers and front & rear light kits. I wonder if the black panels will be available to buy separately. I'm going to get a set of red ones in case mine get damaged, and I would like the black ones too for a change of look. They're nice and cheap. I also had a WLtoys 12428 delivered yesterday which I won on Ebay for £27. It was listed as spares and repair and came with two batteries and usb chargers. The motor turns the props, but the wheels don't turn. So I'm guessing it needs new diff gears in both axles. The rest of it is in excellent condition with only minimal scrapes on the bottom. My 04 arrived quickly. Your review helped. I have the brushless one. Tge shocks are one pice plastic. I did get lil shocks and metal rod replacements. Will like to buy the wltoys light kit for it. Im trying to find if it has a standard size servo. I have a flysky setup and goolrc brushless system for it.
As far as I know Eachine is a Banggood brand it was posted in their forums a couple of years ago by a Banggood Admin

The blue parts are extended hex to stop the car rolling in corners. But that brings a lot of stress to the bearings in the steering hub.
So don’t use them.

When you turn on the rc with the wheels turned it turns them straight again ok?
Mine thinks that all the way left is straight. When I start with my wheels straight it turns it left all the way because it thinks the wheels are pointing right. When I try to turn all the way right the wheels are straight.
This is absolutely frustrating and I need help bc I don’t know how to fix it.
In case you have not already done this, try adjusting the steering trim knob on the transmitter.

Probably a central manufacturer that brands and builds to order. I'd bet that if anyone bought enough of them, they could spec them whatever way they wanted and the company would custom brand them as well. Many, many CN manufacturers use that business model. Yeah, Eachine has some products that they seem to make - or some company makes exclusively for them - and rebrand a lot of stuff. Their box goggles are really good, though. 😊

The 12428 is pretty much the same, but I think the build quality of these is a little better

Is it possible that manufacturers are fleeing Traxxas? I know the Vaterra version had push rod suspension and a 2 speed transmission. They went after Arrma for the push rod Suspension and diff lock features Nero platform. Its my assumption that Vaterra might have been warned prior to discontinuing this model? Nevertheless this platform has intrigued me from the beginning.

I used axle exenders like that on my FY03. It does help with rollovers although there's only so much you can do with that design, it's not a touring car!
In theory, using them will put more strain on the bearings but who cares? Bearings are cheap and in any case, an RC car is very light compared to the loads those bearings are designed to take. I haven't noticed any premature wear since fitting them.

There are no patient laws in China so to be copied is seen as an honor, and which is why you'll see the same model under many different brands with slight changes here and there
Actually in china there are business model like this is, there's one design company, they do design and probably has the factory to produce it, and then any clients/brands can order and customize the color, branding, etc..
The center of gravity seems too high. It can hardly turn in high speeds without flipping over. The distance between the wheels should have been longer, like a truggy.
Yes, it a bit of a 'roller'
True it rolls at high speed in the corners. But if the driver has got some good throttle control skills and not just operate the throttle trigger like it was an on/off switch (i.e. zero throttle/full throttle) this can easily be avoided by reducing (some) throttle in the turns, it also makes for a much much nicer run with almost zero flips. It is an aquired skill which comes with patience and practice.
After all, that is why proportional speed controllers were invented for :-)

Seems to be... although don't recommend submerging it like in this video..., it will eventually damage it

I wouldn't worry about the 'Kev' drama, he does it for attention. I've been testing and reviewing RC's longer than him, I often drop them in slow mo to show the suspension. I must admit though, after editing and uploading this one I did notice that the fast cutting of the tie wraps mixed with the dropping it on the table was pretty similar... to much work to change it and re upload though.
