Yes, we'll be doing a few videos in this series about that. The issue is that the PCV vapors accumulate in the intake and get dislodged. But makers are doing specifics that will eliminate that. Vapor lock, as you see here is also an issue. Mitsubishi suffers from premature HP pump failures due to vapor in the pump. It's just how careful makers are before leasing the design. There's probably a re-flash to the Mitsus to allow for fuel pump priming with engine OFF. Thanks for posting.
Thank you, as you might have seen on our website, we do have the experience making equipment. But, there are ways that folks can make their own stuff with what's available out there, ready-made circuits. We'll cover injector pulsers, fuel rail pressure transducer for scopes and Graphing meter, how to make your own scanner, oscilloscope, solenoid pulser, duty-cycle controller and many other gadgets at a fraction of a their cost. The applicable software is be made available if needed. Coming soon.
Many automakers are going to an extra low pressure injector or two to clean the intake valves. The intake valve deposits are a major problem because it can really interfere will the air intake swirl and great reduce mileage which is not the greatest to begin with. The other major problem that is occurring is that the used oil analysis are commonly showing lots of fuel contamination requiring much more frequent oil changes (3-4k mile range).
ADPTraining i'm having a very bad stalling problem and the car wont start after a certain amount of time.i believe my high pressure fuel pump its on its last leg.can it just be the fuel pressure sensor that is culprit?this car has been a nighmare recently.vw passat 2006 2.0t 108k miles
Interesting series. I've heard GDI engines are prone to excessive intake valve deposits. Port injection tends to 'wash' PCV spooge off the back of intake valves, but with GDI, it just bakes on and builds up. In my opinion GDI sounds overly complex, and I suspect engines so equipped will have relatively short, expensive lifespans.
LOL... I love your posts man, really. Yes, some folks like the girl and some like Steven... So I try to please. Thanks for posting as always. We'll be wrapping up this series in about a month or so. Then next we'll do the "Make Your Own Equipment" series, which will cover tons of gadgets useful to everyone. Take care...
Hahaha, i like to have a laugh, but i really enjoy your videos, and i dont really mind who narrates. Really looking forward to the next series, what type of equipment are we talking about here, test rigs and diagnostic aids ? Any way, keep them coming, and have a good week end :-)

Very interesting! Getting 'up to speed' & comfortable with GDI systems is on my short list of things to do.
