lot of good information but would love to see some GDI specific diagnostic. lean, rich, high pressure fuel pump and fuel pressure solenoid diagnostic, wave form diagnostics
Excellent video and I thank you for the time and effort you put into this video. If my fuel rail pressure sensor connector has an oxidation resistance, would this added resistance raise or lower the fuel rail pressure? I have a 2023 Sonata which at 9K miles lost power and set a fuel rail sensor code. The dealership tested the sensor and found the resistance normal. Then they could no longer repeat the problem (reinserting the connector probably wiped the oxidation). At 39K miles same driving symptoms appeared. Limped into dealership and they later claimed all 4 high pressure injectors were faulty. I don't believe that all 4 injectors would fail at once while idling at a red light. If bad fuel ruined the injectors then the same fuel has now driven 100 miles with no new injector failures. They found excess fuel on the spark plugs and declared the injectors to be the problem. I still suspect the fuel rail sensor signal to be the problem. This is why I asked you if the added oxidation would lower or raise the fuel rail pressure. Hope you read this and know the answer. Thanks again for your excellent video.
Hi my friend. Normally this is the high pressure pump output pressure: 40 bar at idle, about 140 bar at full load. You can check it with scan tool as I showed in the video. More videos coming for rail pressure sensor and fuel control valve diagnostic.
