      @@marym1053 I'm sorry but, why the hell would it matter whether or not Sarge was male or female?! Even if you couldn't differentiate between the two, you can still tell she's a HUMAN BEING! Have you no couth, no self awareness or home training?! You know, there's this thing called RESPECT, maybe you've heard of it🙄 Shame on you for being so disrespectful!!

    • @jessicaribot2288
      @jessicaribot2288 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@marym1053 I was raised Christian, penticoastel to be exact, so I know who God is and what he created. I get that not everyone has the same views when it comes to same sex relationships (including marriage), but there is a time and place for everything, and this is not that time or that place! I, like many others, followed Sarge throughout her cancer journey, up until the very end. She was a beautiful person, and she loved and appreciated her followers, as we all did in return. I'm always suprised when I come across people like yourself that leave inappropriate or rude comments, all the while hiding behind the cloak of religious values! You are supposed to be representing God and following the principal's that Jesus laid out for us! I didn't hear Jesus in anything you said! No one's perfect, we all fall short from the glory of God, but if your going to play the religious card like you did in your response to me, maybe you should think before you leave disrespectful comments, under a video where the person your referring to has already lost her battle to cancer and passed away! Otherwise your nothing but a Hypocrite!

    • @jessicaribot2288
      @jessicaribot2288 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@marym1053 You don't have to respond back to me, it's enough to know you'll read my message anyway! I did not claim to be active in the church, I said only that I was raised as a Christian! So no, you probably didn't hear Jesus in anything I said, but I didn't hear Jesus in anything you said either! I actually went back and re-read your comment, along with another for whom agreed with you. Neither comment reflected anything but assumptions and judgements, no real message, so what was the point! Because of how rude and disrespectful you were in what you said, no one is going to want hear anything about what God says, if it's coming from someone like you! I've met many of Christians that have the same approach as you do, and the message that they try to convey although true, always falls on deaf ears! Anytime you use judgement, fear, or consequences to get people to follow God, you fail! Again, Sarge is no longer here. I don't know what her relationship with God was, other than the fact that she was a believer (or at least she claim to be). Id like to remind you that you are a sinner too! TBH, your actually doing a disservice to God, by approaching this topic the way you have! God wants us to choose him because we want to, not because we're sacred of what will happen if we don't! Just like with any relationship, one has to devote time to get to know that person, and it's the same when we come to know God.

    May 5/23 I just found you Sarge, and although I know you are gone now, I think that the Universe will ensure you get the message. I was hanging on every word you said. Thank you for being so blunt, and explaining what really goes on when you have to deal with something like this. Both of my parents died of mesothelioma, a lung cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. We as adult children of my dad (who died first) never really had any idea what he went thru, and what my mom went thru caring for him. She was diagnosed 10 yrs after he was, and died 5 months later. Thank you for explaining the fears, pain, and endless appointments and surgeries and treatments you've had to endure. This is so valuable, for so many of us who are empaths, and want so badly to understand what's really going on, so that we will know better how to offer help to friends and loved ones. I'm going to call my daughter and text her tomorrow too! I hope the Universe has wrapped you in it's loving embrace, and you are there across the rainbow bridge, with all of the animals you've had, who have gone on before you. Bless you, and much love to your family.

I’m only beginning to realize after working in an oncology center for two years the pain everyone there goes through. You have a right to have a bad day and express your emotions. Whether it’s to your caregivers, doctor’s office, family, friends... don’t ever feel like you can’t. It helps us better know what you’re going through. ❤️

    I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer last August. I'm almost done with the 12 cycles of chemo. I've kept a positive attitude from the beginning. When my oncologist gave me look like the outcome wasn't good. I sat up in bed and said I'm gonna beat me this and prove you wrong. I've stayed positive and my results are the cancer cells have gone from 2008 to 331 in a short period of time and will have surgery to remove the mass and reattach my colon very soon. My oncologist told me I am one of his favorite patients because I was determined to prove him wrong and haven't let the side effects keep me down. It's worth having all the bad days to take back your life from this disease

    Those early symptoms were classic for colon cancer. Thank you so much for you telling all of us what you have gone through. You touched my heart and everyone who watches this. I felt I was going through it all, too. I applaud your decision to stop treatment so that you aren’t feeling so sick and weak all the time. You let no one down, and to anyone out there who is struggling with the decision to treat or not treat, please make sure you have a wonderful oncologist who won’t give you false hope, and will not make you feel bad for stopping treatment if that is your choice.
    Amazing courage.

    Tomorrow evening I go in for my colonoscopy..15 months ago, I had one and pollups were found and removed. I was told the bysopy came back cancer. Went to an oncologist who said I didn't have cancer, but needed to be rechecked in 6 months. That was 15 months ago. I put it off because during that time I found out, my mom was dying of cancer. She has sense pasted.. my heart was and is still broken. In 18 months, I lost 3 siblings, my husband and now my mom. I made a decision to move forward in doing what I need to do. So many think it's an older person's cancer so wouldn't think of having a colonoscopy before age 50. Because of my dad I had my first at age 40 and removed three polyps. I had my last two years ago and removed three more. So far benign. Your video will be a voice for others to be checked and not let symptoms go. May you be in peace.

Your strength and willingness to share your experience is humbling to me. I'm afraid of doctors, hospitals and medical procedures. Haven't seen a doctor in years because of my fear. Your story and courage to face your situation inspires me to consider making an appointment to see what's going on with my body. I'm not afraid to die, and I know there are fates worse than death. I also know that if I were to find out that I have cancer, I would not have the courage to go through the treatments and surgeries that you endured. I hope I get to meet you on the other side. I pray for her wife and family to find peace. It take so much time. When my sister killed herself people would tell me time would make it better, but TIME was my enemy for the longest time. The longer time went on, the more I missed her. It DOES get better in the sense that you learn to live with it in better ways. Sarge, I listened to ur entire video. WOW! Thank you so much for your candid cancer journey. Sarge was so right about colon cancer screening should be mandatory, about age 35-40...not 50. I had 3 colonoscopies by age 53, I think. I'm 55 now and I know I have a precancerous polyp in there right now, that makes me so fearful. I needed to hear Sarge's story. I'm fairly certain I will develop colon cancer. I can relate to so much of her painful story...the pain, the nausea, the embarrassment of leakage and wearing protective garments, the worry about being out in public and needing an emergency toilet run, the arranging your life around your bowel condition. My situation is nowhere as bad as hers was but mine is chronic, extremely painful and life altering. I've been a nurse for about 30 yrs and I get what she's saying. Sarge was so strong and courageous. I can't imagine experiencing all those traumatic cancer related events. I so appreciate her openness to explain very personal details. From the comments I see that she passed away. I certainly hope she had arranged and was given pain relief at the end. Thank you, Sarge for your life and your story. RIP.......

    Thank you so much for sharing your story, your life. I lost my best friend, my strength, my soul, to lung cancer. I miss him every moment of every day. Thank you for everything. You are so brave, so strong. I hurt so much for you :'(

    Your honesty and directness are inspiring. It is so sad that you are enduring this horribly cruel disease. I admire you for refusing further treatment - you alone know yourself and what your limits are, so you alone can take that decision. I wish you peace and comfort through your continuing struggle.

    It is crazy this showed up on my feed. Was diagnosed with Stage 3 B at 42 so it had spread. I had a great surgeon. No colostomy he was able to leave just enough to reconnect. It has been 10 years they say I’m now considered cancer free. I thank god everyday as I was not able to finish chemo so I am so lucky. As I listen to her story about side effects it brings back such horrible memories. RIP Sarge

    Thank u for being so transparent. I am very sorry u have to be burdened with this. I recently have had a friend diagnosed with inoperable breast cancer and I just can’t figure out how cancer spreads so quickly? I’m so sick of cancer. I’m so sick of “early detection” scans or tests when they don’t early detect anything! I’m sorry that u r so young but u r delivering a powerful message that will be ur legacy that lives forever! Truth is, no one knows the future, except the Lord. I will take ur advice and live every day like it’s my last. That’s all we have anyway sarge, is just the day we r in now. I’m thankful for u and hope everyday is a good day. ❤️

      Thank you for the lovely comment my friend :) I am sorry to hear about your friend, and I will be sending love and prayers! As far as it being a burden....yes, it is, but instead of focusing on that, in order to keep myself mentally 'okay' about it all, I focus on the fact that it has led to me appreciating SO much more in life. It was incredible how much more I started to notice and take in around me. Much love to you :)

    I just watched this video today for the first time. I am in awe of everything you have went through and yet you still found the energy I'm time to give to us and share your journey. You are an awesome lady and I wish I knew you better. I also wish you were still around to read these words, maybe wherever you are you can. My dad died from colon cancer and he never said much. He was from the era where Boys don't Cry. I know as you mentioned in the video I have no way of knowing what you went through but you did give me an idea of what my dad silently went through. Thank you for your story, I will always remember you.

    I have been diagnosed with same stage 4 colon cancer on 5/26, I am 47, I went to the hospital twice before I had the emergency surgery, I woke up with a big scar and a colostomy, big shock! I am having the same chemo at the moment, and doing better with the situation, but friends can’t understand how difficult it is, also I don’t allow any doctor take my hope and faith away, thank you for the video, I can see I am not the only one and people need to be aware and spread the word to avoid what we have gone through!
