My favorite design is a cruciform. 6m x 6m center with 6m x 4m projections. Fire and chimney in center. One side is bed and comfort. One is access to fire, cooking and food storage. One is workbench and crafting storage. Last is entrance. Palisade enclosure to keep out the critters. This lasts until iron age and I can start building in stone.
Gonna build this base in my new play through after just returning to Valheim since Hearth and Home went live. One thing I will do that you seem to have neglected is direct the smoke to actually use the chimney that you built (Easy enough with some half/whole walls and even some cross pieces for decoration =) ). Too nice not to see smoke rolling out of that central chimney =) Great starter and potentially forever home with nearly infinite upgradeability!

This really helped im new to valhiem and u helped me understand the building mechanics
That chimney doesn't give enough space for smoke to escape. Although roof is high enough that the smoke will not come low enough to hurt you.
Great video dude!
Nice a tips for a cosy build for begin. Than, nice work, bro. :D
Thank you bro 😎
