@@SpazzyjonesGamingTo be honest, that's a good tip anyway, because if you only have stone or flint axe, with no proper bow, you'd better not risk to go Black Forest. Other way, you can find yourself running like hell, chasing by troll or bunch of greydwarf's brutes. Not a good start.
Did not know about the 69 one. I would like to add here that before demolishing existing buildings, you should always repair them first, otherwise you will not get all the materials.
65 was the only new thing, as I did not know the tomb stones were persistent. Also, you can influence the falling direction of a tree by jumping against it. Just remember not to "push too hard" or you could slide past and end up underneath it. This is very useful when trying to use trees to break open fine wood.
Lots of great tips here. Getting core wood by demolishing small farms structures means you don't have to brave the Black Forest to cut the trees, early game. The other thing which I just learned recently from a video by Jiroc the Viking is that Birch trees will only take damage by banging into other trees. You can bang them into rocks all day long without them actually taking damage...
There is another early way of finding fine wood as well, in the Black Forest, you'll occasionally find wrecked boats. I'm pretty sure that you can break them without the use of bronze age tools, but you'll get plenty of fine wood from one of those.
@@SpazzyjonesGaming There's a better technique while using the hammer : You have to go to higher mountains and in general check for flatter area ! When you use Stagbreaker, instead of "0" you will see a "Too Hard" poping out !

Same with the hut you tamed your first 2 boar in. When they breed a herd go back in, light the fire, and sneak back & forth with W-S, almost afk… maybe while watching great tip videos like this?
You can use campfires to kill enemies. You might find this helpful in burial chambers if you go in underpowered. One thing I like to do is to always put a campfire in the middle of the entry area in burial chambers, in the area between the three doors. This is helpful because you can see the glow when you get close and it can help guide you out. (It can get a bit smoky, but you can definitely find areas out of the smoke, like the raised entry stone area.) I also put a campfire just inside the entry to swamp crypts, both for the rested bonus and similarly to help find the way out. My video game directional sense is not always great so it is a good tip to always traverse a maze keeping to the left (or right if you wish). When you turn around, to come out of an area still keep to the left. It will lead you out to the entrance while completely clearing the maze.

Yup, 67 is where I would have lost. 64, I found one of these off the edge of an island, on it's own archipelago. I thought it was some kind of boss arena or a summon location. 52, raids (except for "you are being hunted") will only happen if you're near 3 base structures (crafting station, bed, forge, etc). I don't believe the tool elevation thing is based on the elevation itself, but rather how many things the tool hits, like if you cut 3 trees at once, you do reduced damage to each, at low elevations you tend to hit the ground and the tree, splitting the damage, but harder to notice as the ground doesn't give a number when hit, just a small visual effect. Have certainly seen my number on the tree get reduced when a greyling decides to clothesline itself with my axe as I'm chopping. May be correct with ores though, pretty sure you do more damage to the tops of the nodes than otherwise.
I think both apply. You do more damage from higher height but what you have observed is also true. If you hit multiple targets with one swing it splits the damage between the targets

I like it a lot too. Valheim keeps you on your toes no matter how strong you get@@annaperkins8940
23. I didn't know friendly fire affects the tamed creatures
Nice! glad you learned something new
Well sadly i knew them all but great guide for beginners :D
I knew there would be someone! Maybe when I do my advanced tips video I can stump you
I"ve never really used a shield so 24 for me, I guess. *good video though for new players.
Yeah this is definitely a video focused for new players. I'm surprised to hear you never used shields. I almost always use them
@@SpazzyjonesGaming yeah, I'm pretty sucky at combat most of the time. maybe I should give it a try. I DO have a good few serpent scales...perhaps that shield is worth it?
44,54 I didn’t know that you got extra xp from the rested bonus, 64.
Nice! Yes, a lot of people don't know about the bonus XP
Interesting, i didn't know #69.
glad I could share at least one new thing!
I was waiting to learn how to set up a greyling sweatshop. Must be a mod. Cheap T-shirts won't make themselves.
lololol
60 was a fun tip lol😄
its a pretty cool one huh? haha
It was 15 for me. I had no idea what they meant lol
glad you learned something new!
69?!??!??????!!!! 😏😏😏
Personally I knew all these tips but it was amazing jobs for making this video I hope many players would learn from this video
The perfect number of tips 😜. I hope new players learn something as well! Glad you enjoyed it despite knowing them all!
11 - respawn of raspberry time
Nice! glad you learned something new!
#60 for me. Thats clever but ill stick to using my bow
nice! glad you learned something new. I don't use this strategy much myself either
Bee hives are better defense structures than stake walls
how so?
Stagbreaker can also damage skeleotns in kurhans trough closed doors.
Yeah so true! That AOE damage is amazing
#65 3 years and I did not know that.
Nice! glad you learned one thing. Its hard to find tips people haven't heard of at this stage
15. Didn't catch on to the fork colors.
Yeah that's a sneaky one isn't it
Ow, not fun with that Spartan jumpscare... >_
Im sorry I spooked ya!
#37, didn't realise arrows tilted to the left. Could it have anything to do with the wind?
th-cam.com/video/Xmt5aq_JnSc/w-d-xo.html
You'd think it has something to do with the wind but it doesn't! Better bows shoot straigher so the crude bow is the worst for leaning left
First tip learned was at 67, also you should fr activate your windows.
Glad you learned something new! I'll never activate windows :p
I didn't know about 51.
Glad you learned something new!
15,24,37,57,(i solo play tho), 60,61,65,67,
Nice! You learned quite a bit! That's awesome!
24 but you didn't say how
crafting the shield styles? At the workbench before crafting it, click the style button and then click on the style you want to craft. From there, hit craft like you would to craft any other item
is it bad that I know all of these
Nahhh. I bet you have a lot of hours under your belt though!
nice steal
Steal? Have I been committing thievery?
Nice.

nice! glad there were a couple new things to learn!
I spend 600h on Valheim... BUT THANKS - 12, 33, 57
Heck ya! I'm glad you still found something despite being a veteran!
@@SpazzyjonesGaming but I think the raid is (or used to be) every 40 min and the chance is 1/4 that they will attack you. Nice video.
@@lukrat9381 it very well could be. The information I used for this was from the valheim wiki on fandom. It says a raid has a 1/5 chance every 46 minutes.
However that info could be outdated for all I know
LMAOO 69 !!
