If anyone wants to do this build I'd recommend putting in a wooden floor foundation with framing to help support the roof. Over all this is one of the more unique and easy ones to do for a beginner. Great job TBB!
Commenting because a month or so ago I studied this video, practiced building it on my own, and then when I could play with my partner, I was able to give him instructions on what to do to help me build this model house. It's been an AMAZING starter house, and we've recently added two rooms to it (Kitchen and dining room and the work room) and it's just been- SUCH a good house to us! We're about to move, so I'm on the hunt for a design we'll both enjoy, but I wanted to thank you! ^^
Thanks so much!! I am glad it has worked out well for you both. I am starting to get back into building again and I am working on another build video using the new Ashlands pieces.
Love this. All early game accessible but also great aesthetic with good natural light & all the basics you need! Def taking this as inspo for my next starter base - thank you! ☺️
This house is adorable. I also love that incorporates some of the angle math in an understated way. Making all the triangles meet makes cool looking buildings. I watched twice liked and subscribed. ❤ I haven't even played in about a year. Still going to go watch a couple more videos.
I spent like 4 hours building a house then retried for 2 hours more. To then find out you can only build supports so high out of wood. Also thank you for this video. I used as a guide to build my own.
Very nice build for early game I suggest you record the building without music and then edit it in so that it doesn't sound weird when you speed up the footage :)
Thank you buddy!! I am still active and have a big build coming soon. I am also jumping into other games as well and will be doing build videos for those.
I have started a run with a buddy of mine and we had fire hazard on, but with this build it was easy enough to modify it due to the large room given for the chimney so that we could avoid burning down our house lol
Quite good looking small house. Especially like the windows. But, you could do top of chimney much more simple and beautifull, to be honest. Anyway, well done!
i would love to see someone recreate a viking village from a mmo i loved back in the day. It was called Fort Atla from the mmo Dark Age of Camelot. it had high earthen walls around a village and it was the only one in the game like that and i always loved its look.
In creative mode, you can float in air and be able to reach the higher points, but in survival/normal mode, the players would need to create stairs or foundations in order to reach. Overall, a nice starter house.
enormous work for a central chimney in a tall house. blocks all sight lines and paths on main floor. build on perimeter of room on a short wall fewer materials, more open space.
How did you get the vines effect on the walls? Also you are able to grow berries bushes around your builds. Are you creating them via devcommands? Eitherway amazing and simple build.
@@TheBasicBuilder I hope you'll make a wooden cooking/dining house one day (without stone... I love wooden buildings in Valheim, for some reason) fairly basic but for the larger fireplace that alws multiple roasting thingies and a cauldron xD
@@TheBasicBuilder Also you can build this so fast only in creative mod, so it's not like a real starter house, words that I would use for survival. However, don't take this criticism as a bad thing, aside from these facts I really like what you did, it's a beautiful house! Keep up with the good job.
@@TheBasicBuilder The parts you didn't edit out where you're busy building the house still take 18 minutes at 1.5x speed though... thankfully the house is better than your explanation of how long it takes to build.
Hello i know this video is from 8 months ago but i was wondering if you could tell me what mods you used to make and craft and build everything for this beautiful house
Yeah, they change color but will on degrade to 50% you can always not use those pieces if you don’t want too. I just put them in my builds to make them look better, it’s not functional at all.
Hello, so I don’t use mods for weapons or armor. Because I’m in creative mode, I can craft any weapon or armor set in the game. I do this only when I’m in a certain biome
Add some damn floors, you wouldnt sleep on muddy floors. Remive the fire from near the bed, you wouldnt sleep with flames near your head. Those chests up there are ao impractical. Workbench upgrades are suposed to stay outside of the house… geez
I mean... you cannot really put the veins on buildings, and admittedly that's what make this build great. Other than that, no one would build it, especially with a cart that you don't have access to in the beginning.
no floor on this build to save on the amount wood needed but I am working on an updated design of this build. I will have a video out on it in the next couple of weeks!
barely 30 seconds in and couldn't follow it because of that switching between 1m beams to 2m beams back to 1m beams couldn't figure out what to do with one side. even with the thing say 6m by 6m foundation
with the base foundation, the 1m and 2m beams are there to just figure out where I wanted the doors and windows to go. Its really up to you how you want that to look but the overall lenght are 6 2m beams. I hope this helps

Awesome glad you enjoyed!!
I love the ladders as trim, I’m definitely going to be using this idea! Thank you xx
You’re welcome 😊
Such a cozy starter, any viking would be happy to have such a home in the early game!
thank you!
what a great use of the ladder for the roof frame. looks beautiful
Thank you
"20 minutes"... Took me nearly 3h00 to get it done, without godmod and unlimited resources lol. Nice build !
Took me 20 mins for the build, about 30 minutes for the resources.
Took me 3.5hrs but that was after doing everything including the interior and exterior add ons
I think I might build this as my starter for Ashlands, seems very modular which is very nice 👍
Awesome!!
Nice, simple and beautiful design! Well done!
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful. I just built this as my sacrifice alter outpost. It's really super easy and you showed it well in the video. Thank you.
Thank you and glad you enjoyed the build!

Definitely building this now ,as my starter base 😍
Have fun!

Absolutely beautiful. Thank you!

I like the fact out of everything, you didn't put a floor down inside. Its always more natural when you do this. Great job and ideas
Thank you!!

lol yeah, that fire hazard is no joke
love the design, good job! hoping for some cool stone buildings with cool basements, and everything you need on outside to finish game with style!
After reading this comment, the ideas were flowing to take this design and make it better. Thank you for watching!!
Nice, styl, cosy and very easy. Thanx for this video, bro. Is very helpful.
Glad you enjoyed!
Love IT i have made myself little bigger version of this house So i can fit in more staff when i am playing with friend
awesome!!
Kinda would be cool as a lighthouse roof, with a bonfire in the middle.
Two ravens and two wolves on the roofs, with two dragons on the highest roof.
Yeah it would!
So good. I love your builds. You are very creative.
Thank you so much!
hermoso diseño ...buenos acabados ... casi dan ganas de haber estudiado construccion jaajajaj
thank you
i built this... house. was prity easy.. and i love it.. thanks basic xx
Thanks Cherry!!
This is an awesome build, really easy and quick too.
Thanks!!
Congratulations, beautiful construction, easy, fast and above all utilitarian.
I subscribe and like.

Thank you!
done. good work bro. i like it.
Thanks!
Simple build, but a lot of details and cool design.
Thanks!
I swear these people who make these building videos should be architects!
lol I almost went to school for architecture years ago
@ well the talent definitely shows!
@ well thank you!
Very nice, easy to copy, cozy design! Love it! Keep it up buddy!
Thank you! Cheers!
Love it! How do you make the vines to grow on the walls?
Using a mod called plant everything
Did you know that you can change snappoints with Q and E? Makes bricklayer life easier. :)
Nice house.
Yep, just didn’t use it until recently

you're welcome
Gonna use the roof idea cool man 🔥😊
Awesome!
This is amazing!
Thank you!!
How do you make the leaves / moss on the sides
Using the Plant Everything mod
how do you get the vegetation on the side of the house?? great build!
Its a mod I am using called Plant Everything
Thanks for the video.
How did you make your guy go into the air for building the house? I struggle with adding to the tops of poles all the time?
You can use devcommands and the debugmode. Once in debugmode, press “Z” on your keyboard
How do you add the green leaves, or is that only a creative mode thing?
That is using the plant everything mod but its not necessary for this build
Nice build. But 700 wood for a starter house is not ideal.
Best to re use old shacks
In creative mode, you can float in air and be able to reach the higher points, but in survival/normal mode, the players would need to create stairs or foundations in order to reach.
Overall, a nice starter house.
you could also just place ladders on the roof to reach the higher points but this build is not that high at all
Howd you get the foilage on the exterior walls?
Plant everything mod
enormous work for a central chimney in a tall house. blocks all sight lines and paths on main floor. build on perimeter of room on a short wall fewer materials, more open space.
problem with building on the side wall is that the heat does not reach the whole house
How did you get the vines effect on the walls? Also you are able to grow berries bushes around your builds. Are you creating them via devcommands? Eitherway amazing and simple build.
I used devcommands and a mod called plant everything. That is the only current way to make this happen. I am glad you like the build!! 😁

@@mikolajborys3206 so only the hearth for stone? Everything else wood?
@@TheBasicBuilder yeah, maaaybe chimney since it makes more SENSE to be made of stone but not necesarily.
How do you get to the roof in a normal game? Building staira and break them after finish?
Yep, that’s exactly right!
How did you add those green plants on the house?
I used the plant everything mod!
I really like this can u do a part 2 whit a smelter area next to this house
It’s possible for sure
where can i get this plant for Roof and wall ? :) thank you for answer!
This is a mod called Plant Everything
You can get it from the Thunderstore Mod or Nexus
how did you add the grass onto the side of the house?
Plant Everything mod will allow you to place the vines but it’s not necessary to complete this build in survival
How do u place the vines on the house
Its a mod called Plant Everything
Yeah, 20 minutes if you could play at double speed!
It’s only 1.5 speed and I cut the parts where I was thinking of what to do next. Either way, whether you liked it or not, thanks for the feedback
@@TheBasicBuilder Also you can build this so fast only in creative mod, so it's not like a real starter house, words that I would use for survival. @@thewizard4200 no worries buddy, I actually built this same house on our Nerdheim server. It takes only 20 mins once you have the resources

Hey there!! I used the Plant Everything Mod and Infinity Hammer Mod along with Server Devcommands
Where did you get the cool wizard hat?
Its the pointy hat that came during the seasonal fall items
How do you put plants on the wall?
It’s a mod called Plant Everything
I searched for build videos on youtube for 4 days and finally found only 1.
really, well I have many buid videos on my channel so be sure to check them out!
When I say 'only 1' I mean in terms of quality. Otherwise, there are tons of videos.@@TheBasicBuilder
My issue is that building pieces that are not 'roof' will change color and shape after rain and I have to constantly repair everything.
Yeah, they change color but will on degrade to 50% you can always not use those pieces if you don’t want too. I just put them in my builds to make them look better, it’s not functional at all.
but in non creative mode how do i get so high to place the wood beams? o.O
Ladders and place them on the roof

Devcommands and debugmode

I like the bare bones no flooring. the decoration is not intended to be practical, its just to show off the build
nice morning
how to infinity woods ?
Using devcommands
And no build costs
Came here to see how you added the greenery to the outer walls. Big sad.
Sorry to disappoint but you need to use a mod called plant everything
I mean... you cannot really put the veins on buildings, and admittedly that's what make this build great. Other than that, no one would build it, especially with a cart that you don't have access to in the beginning.
The cart is to fill gaps in for deco. The main purpose of the build is to show the layout and design
mucho cute
thanks Bold!
I want to live there in real life.
👍
yeeeahh, easy done with creative mode and flying arround lol
all my builds are in creative mode, its the objective to show what you can build
We can easily put up ladders on a building this size.
траву на стены как нацепил?
English?
Cool i builded it worst part is uper
i have heard that before however there are a few things you can do to make it easier but using ladders
@TheBasicBuilder yeah could use that ladders on end they should be builded before 😁 anyway house look very good, thanks

First rate.
?
@@TheBasicBuilder ie excellent.

you using a snap mod because snapping in this game is bad?
Nope. They updated the game and when building, hit I believe Q on the keyboard and it will give you snapping points
