While I know it's rather common to pronounce PSI as the induvial letters, I'm fairly certain it's "Supposed" to be pronounced as "Sigh", as in shot for "Psychic". At least, that's what all the time I spent playing Psychonauts has taught me, since anytime the word PSI comes up in that game, thanks to the subtitles, the voice actors always and consistently pronounce it as "sigh". I know that's a different game and universe, but it's spelled the same way and is also in reference to psychic abilities, so I'm sure it's supposed to be the same word regardless. Sorry for the rather small nitpick.
