I know pre refresh people didn’t like the styling but in my opinion the refresh looks better especially up front. I like what they did there
Nope it does not, the pre refresh was a pretty danm beautiful car only the N looked hideous, I’ve seen this one in person and naaaah it doesn’t look better
The face lift was really needed. This car only needs minor tweaks to be a stellar car. Its still a great choice for a comuter car.
sonata already did get facelift for 2024 model year@@Brian_Eugene_Lee
*dies at 75k miles*
@@Brian_Eugene_Lee The majority of people I work with drive with civics and Accords but I occasionally got compliments on how nice my 2020 sonata limited looked.
@@Bleseddd1thats if it doesn’t get stolen before then
The technology is just insane for the price! I think the Elantra better than the Civic for what it offers. I’m loving the refresh of the new DRL headlights. It’s now looks more premium. Very “Germanic” in styling, but with some aggressive and futuristic Korean elements. I still thinks the side of the car with the Z shaped lines is unique and definitely bold. Joe always zonks the corner window. I actually like how it is now. It looks more like a coupe that way. The Elantra Limited Hybrid is the one to get. It offers ventilated seats and memory seats. Something that is not offered on the Civic. Also, a digital key, 64 color ambient lighting, blindspot cameras (I know Civic had it first on previous generations, but Hyundai execute the setup way better) Smart truck release, 360 camera, and lumbar support is also not offered on the Civic.
And this is why the cars were easily stolen or had engines that would blow up. You don't just get a lot of tech for a lower price without corners cut.
@@----------------------------- Hating much? The reason why Hyundai can afford to put tech in their cars, because they produce their own steel. Other manufacturers have to use a 3rd party to help them produce and manufacture steel on their vehicles. That’s how Hyundai can make their cars affordable with value pack technology. I currently drive a Hyundai that I own for 5 years that didn’t gave me any problems. The most safest and reliable car that I own (my vehicle has a push to start, btw). Only people who never own or drive a Hyundai will say some stereotypical remarks about the brand.
@@jraheemjefcoat429 my first car was a Hyundai and I took my driver's test in a Hyundai sonata....that was stolen years later. My entire family continues to drive Hyundais even after the Sonota got a recall every year, blew it's engine on the highway and got stolen a year later. Now they drive EV Hyundais and still deal with daily recalls and charging issues.
@@----------------------------- What that got to do with me and my experience with driving an Hyundai?
@@------------------------------ Hondas were easily stolen in the 90s and the 2000s. The Civic is stolen more than Hyundais, as well. Also, the Civic normally doesn't make it past 100K miles without exhibiting oil dilution .. Which requires a complete engine change 🤣 Your comment certainly backfired on you
Always the best in car reviews! Keep on the good work Raitis 👍
11:59 - I was thinking that it is magnetic that it is used to mount your phone if it has a magnet at its back, especially if you have an iPhone 12 or any later iPhone model that has a MagSafe case. You might notice that the Ioniq 5 and 6 have this magnetic surface to attach your phone next to their gauge cluster displays.
When you have well over a million subscribers you(Joe Raiti) are the man. I wait every day for his review and I didn’t know about Joe until after I bought a new car.
Like the change to the lower bumper. Also noticeable updates to the headlights (now bi-color daytime running light which is now also the turn signal, so fewer incandescent bulbs. Also they moved the side marker from above the drl to under it which is a nice touch and welcome change)
I wanna be like Joe Raiti when I grow up
I wow! That is really awesome of you to say!
@@RaitisRides your car reviews are amazing
100% agree, me too!
@@RaitisRidesis there any information anywhere about the hybrid version because that's what I'm looking for also when do you think that the site Builder so I can configure one and see how much they cost will be online it's still showing the 2023 model
The handle wants to separate the driver from the passenger to make a more cockpit like feel
I genuinely love these Elantras! Every since they released the redesign in 2020.
Looking forward to seeing your N review for this year!
yep they have been the best looking compact sedan imo since the refresh on the 2021 models and now they look even better. I finally got my hands on one a couple months ago
bro i love your 80s references! best auto channel on the web baby!!!!!
I just bought one on Friday and I absolutely love it
After researching debating which one to get the I’d prefer the Elantra , I think civic messed up by not including blind side monitoring untill you spend at least 27k
That car actually looks good
I think they made the right changes for sure.
Just got a 2024 Elantra Limited and I love it. The safety features are so great and the vehicle is really comfortable! Handles nicely and feels a little sporty
I think the N-Line is the max model you can buy Joe. Fully loaded with the 1.6L Turbo and 18" wheels. Can't wait for that review from you. I think that's the real steal of a deal car of the year.
There no GT line…only N and N-Line
That's right. I was thinking Kia.@@JorgeSoto-el7ji
Definitely Don’t buy the N line, it sucks, I have a 2023 n line and its 32k miles and The FG horn is not working, the Car is Shaking while going 2-3 miles ph , at winter one of the Shocks Sounds very wierd , Believe the DCT is not a good transmission it sounds really bad ,
@@aldairguzman5708 lol I have a 2024 EN-line and its so much fun to drive. The car isnt shaking at 2-3 mph, thats just the clutch engaging and disengaging. DCT is an auto manual. If you drive it like a normal automatic you are going to have a bad time. It has to be driven differently and it helps with all those weird characteristics
Hopefully in November we get the Elantra N 👀
Oh it’s coming!
Gonna be allocating my order with N performance forged 18 inch 10 spoke rims that is an extra 2 pounds lighter than the 19 inch forged.
@@Ronald1234izewow 2 pounds what a difference
Can’t wait to get my 2024 Elantra N
That is a nice update Hyundai did on the Elantra also the new keyfob looks sweet with the new design
Living life and doing what you enjoy. Happy for you sir! Love your videos 🙂
The Elantra has grown so much in size that it’s nearing the dimensions of the Sonata 2 generations ago
Agreed, I have a 2021 SEL Elantra and it's only a few inches shorter than my mom's 2018 SEL Sonata. My previous vehicle was a 2009 Santa Fe Limited which was a midsize SUV at the time and the Elantra is the same length as my Santa Fe was.
Surprised you didn't mention anything about the Hyundai "h" badges on the front and back. They are very thin and look so much better than the previous facelift chrome ones that stick out
I actually did
Good call Joe. The white hides the weird side body lines. Like it
Great minds think a like!
I love it Joe and Lori and Steve and keep up the good work and I love the video 👍
Damn Hyundai is now following the solid wing design of Honda's
Imitation is the greatest form of flattery
Just got one yesterday but she’s Abyss’s Black base model. I’m grateful!
blessed and smart
The 24 Elantra N though is fire!!
Good Afternoon Raiti ! 😀
Good Afternoon bud!
I love my 2023 Hyundai Elantra N-line ultimate but I think the refresh is def better for the normal trims for 2024 Elantras. I'm not a fan of the front changes on the 2024 Elantra N-line. I think they didnt bring the DTR lights going all the way across the front because the 2024 Sonata got that on its refresh which I'm excited to see you review if you the chance :D In any case love the overall looks and both KIA and Hyundai doing so well in terms of body lines and futuristic light design the past 2 yrs and excited to see what more will come.
A great option for the price.
I think you hit the nail on the head
I really appreciate acknowledging the lack of support for the hand-to-hand combat arsenal.
Thanks for letting me bring all the important info
Had a 2021 Limited, Love it as a leased car…. Upgraded to the 2024 limited, nice upgraded features. Love the car so far.
If I have as good luck with this one, will be super happy. Highly recommend this car.
He cracks me up with these reviews!!!
Narrowing down which color I want for my ‘24 Sonata N-Line. I think this white is it. Thanks for showcasing it so well on that sunny Florida day.
Why get an N Line when you can get the full on N?...or do you just don't want a manual?
I am digging the new camera angle for the driving portion keep it up Joe 👍
Joe the SEL convenience package comes with a sunroof as well
you're the best reviewer in the world
What a handsome car! I just wish the rear turn signals were led as well instead of the edison lightbulbs lol. As for the ventilated seats are they not available in the highest trim hybrid? Really looking at this car to buy. Its definitely an improvement over the previous model.
Hey I just bought my first car ‘21 Elantra Limited Hybrid in Electric Shadow that I loveeeee. It DOES have ventilated seats & the ‘24 Limited Hybrid does too 😊
Just love the interior seat colour you can option.
Hi Raiti's Rides You Make Great Video Can You Make A Review On The 2024 BMW X5 50e And When Are You Driveing The New 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer
I will get that together for you
I like halogen bulbs. Cheaper and easier to replace instead of proprietary LED lense assembly. Plus can sometimes buy LED bulbs in the same size.
Cheaper and easier to replace, but look like shit and burn out in two years. LEDs last much longer and do much better at illuminating what’s in front of you.
Thank you for your excellent review.
I drove the Elantra 2023 yesterday for about 1,000 km, and I have driven a civic as well. Right off the bat, seats were really comfortable however, the driving experience wasn't as good as the Honda Civic's. Loved the tech and comfort and the gas economy but felt like something was missing.
i really hope they keep this i wanna get a N one day
You are good for the next few years!
I just got myself a Fusion Sport for $17K but definitely hoping they keep the Elantra N around for a few more years. Want to buy one since it's so much more of a sports car than the FS but the FS is just much more comfortable as a daily driver.
Sweet ride right there. Ok let me watch this.
Did you notice the inside passenger door is dark and inside driver's door is light colored?
I like the sense of humour.
I have a 2023 limited in intense blue metallic. I wish my 23 had the lane change cameras and 360 camera. Otherwise I don’t like the new front end
i think the center bar is ok, in my opinion it seems to sort of differentiate the driver side from the passenger side, its kinda cool
I have a 21 elantra SEL the bar is annoying as hell honestly. And it makes it cramped and tight for the passenger. Plus having the screen and climate all angeled for the driver feels like they tried to copy the interior of the MK4 Supra
Can't wait for you to do an Elantra N line review of this 2024 model. I have a 2023 and love it so far (basically a cheaper Civic Si especially since i got at MSRP) but I hope the 2024 gets rid of the DCT but still keeps the fun driving dynamics the Kona N line has.
2024 Elantra n line has the same power train
Waiting on that 2024 Sonata, the new Elantra looks great!
I appreciate you, man!
That means the world!
Nice refresh. I actually love the hybrid version of this for 25k and gets over 50mpg combined.
I am so glad that you like this one.
Not dinging those geometric shapes on this car and the Tucson, it seems over the top! Other wise, this is a fantastic every day drive to work ride!
I love my 23’ sel, I didn’t want a turbo or the maintenance that comes with it
I have a 2019 Elantra sport with DCT. I do like the looks of the 24 Elantra but the transmission went out on mine at 30k miles took 2 months in the shop to fix lucky was under warranty and gave me a rental. I’m leaning more towards the civic for my next car.
I’m a Honda fan. But I love the N! For sure my next car.
The limited edition here in Puerto Rico is around $35K!! 😮😮😮😮
I'm using this car as rental as my car is in the shop. It does not have wireless carplay, I have to hook up my Iphone 15 Pro Max to get carplay. For some odd reason, I've read that only the 8" has wireless but the 10" doesn't. This make no sense considering this is a higher trim and the lower trim has wireless carplay.
Thanks for sharing your ownership input.
Excellent sedan Joe.
I’m so glad that you think so
I like the turn signal camera's would be nice - my '21 Preferred (middle model - I get the base heating controls, but leather heated wheel instead in this market) - I find the blind spot monitors work well but I get confused trying to pin point what they are worried about sometimes. Oh the iVT uses a very expensive chain instead of the belt and cones - allows no slipping and the shift points do not need to be pre-determined upon assembly (so the computer can adjust them "on the fly"); more costly to make but "in theory" more durable.
Nice and keep it up Raitis, keep it up Raitis, keep it up 👍👍💯
That silver strip on top of the grill that blends in with the light. I really thought it was a daylight kinda like the one on the new sonata
I feel like the circle decoration on the dash would be a good place to put a phone holder
Joes hand movements and fingers naturally bending back says what I thought
I really like both but I think the Civic looks a little better.
I agree with you
Anything about the n line?
Not hitting dealerships till probably early next year
Nice review.
Will you be doing the 2024 N line elantra?
Yep! Please stay tinrd
I work there hahahaha I bet you had a fun time finding a place to park but come back again next year after our construction is finished!
Looks like a good all-around value. Wondering what you could push it with to get it up to 124 mph. I might try to save up a few more $ and see about getting the Civic.
They are not toys - they are action figures (c)
You've made my day, sir - thank you! 😀
Any idea when the 2024 Elantra N video will be available?
I will have one in about two weeks.
Thank you! Can’t wait! Love your videos
@@matthewo3522thanks man! I appreciate your support!
The side angle shapes stand out way more then my black 2022 but I love the angles. I also like my 2022 front grill more than the 2024 and yes the lights should run all the way across the nose
If you dont need performance, this is incredibly well-equipped for
You are so right about that
I drove a hybrid limited in 2022 when looking for a car and there were 3 zonks for me that were enough to say no thanks. It didn't have much passing power in the 50mph range (biggest zonk), and the other 2 were the death star and the o crap handle. For 30k I didn't want the ugly bar or all the dead space of the death star
Nice review Joe, I do have the 2021 Limited, I like the design and the tech, couldn’t have asked for better, but it’s just unacceptable that we don’t have heated steering wheel and memory seats option on the limited trim. I’ve put 70k miles on it so far and Speaking of reliability not the best, I don’t think I’ll ever buy a Hyundai again as much as I love the brand and what they’re doing but at some point they need to slow down and invest more on the build quality of these cars. Everything is excellent with this vehicle my only one zong like I said it’s just not reliable.
Agree with you on reliability. I have a 21 SEL trim about to hit my 60K. Been okay but has been in the shop more than I'd like. Thinking of trading in for a 2024 Corolla or Rav4
Definitely agree with your point on reliability. I also have a 21 limited, and it's going to be my first and last Hyundai. I have never had as many problems with a new car as this one. Even now my front sensor randomly stopped working 2 weeks ago and there is a message on the dash, but I can't even get it checked it out since it's almost impossible to get a service appointment at all my local dealers. My car only has 45k miles but I have had problems with it since around 10k miles
@@-SP.that sucks, yeah getting them serviced can be a pain considering everyone is having issues with them…
I would like clarification. I'm in the market and really like the Elantra but you mention that reliability is not the best. What exactly is failing so early?
@@clutchcolton the overall build quality of the car is not good, I have 74k on it right now and I have a weird noise up front I heard It might be the motor mount I don’t know because they can’t even tell me for sure.
I honestly think Joe that the Nissan Sentra takes the cake for this segment now with the refresh. What you think?
Way too slow it's a bummer.

My 2023 hybrid has ventilated seats, and some have a heated wheel?
I have a 2024 Civic EX-L hatchback and I’ll take my car over any of the competition, including the Elantra. Great review as always Joe.
They just want too much now. Almost 30k for a compact car…
I'm trading in my 2015 Chrysler 300s for a new Civic...it's a badass car but it's got 80k miles and I need reliability....not "badass" anymore.

That initial first glance looks a lot like a last gen accord
I saw a review from korea that said the left space of the diplay is a fingerprint id ( that connect to your phone?)
They need to fix funkiness from side and back, front looks good.

He said numchucks 😂😂😂 dudes funny as hell!
I'll still take the Civic be cause I've driven Hondas since 2012 . Right now I have a 2023 Odyssey.
The very high center stack makes it feel like a coffin when driving if over 6' tall.
I wound up taking the 23 SEL fully loaded cause couldn't wait on the '24s to hit lots. Even on the 23 I went SEL just cause I hated the cloth door panels n leather seating mixup just seemed not right... all and all I had civic and for it's price this is really good car, civic is tad more fun but this feels more upscale for it's price point...
I got the SEL for my 2021. I love that I got traditional analog gauges. I'm not a fan of all digital screens. Only thing I wish it had was better positioned side mirrors. Night driving is awful because the head lights of all other vehicles are directly aligned with your side mirrors
IVT and CVT aren't the same Joe.
Cvt is belt driven. Ivt is chain driven. "Death Star" is for a suction cell phone holder. I disagree with the drive quality being better in the Honda. I'm definitely buying the Elantra. The Civic allows way to much noise from outside in.
How to get white elantra in two tone interior
This refresh should get people hyped up about the mid-cycle refresh Elantra N in the next couple of months before the end of the year. Even if not much changes on the refresh until the next gen Elantra N when they ditch the 2.0T Veloster N/Elantra N engine in favor of the 2.5T Stinger GT-Line/G70 2.5T/Sonata N-Line engine, the next gen Elantra N with the 2.5T should be a lot more stout and powerful as a GR Corolla and FL5 Civic Type R, but still the most lightest in its high-performance segment. Any changes or updates and upgrades the current gen/upcoming mid-cycle refresh the Elantra N will be worthy and welcomed.
If they are really redoing the engine to the 2.5 over the 2.0, I'm happy to wait to upgrade my 2023 Elantra N. Im not all that impressed by the face-lift and the rear looks terrible. I bought mine in May and only have about 1400 miles on it because I hardly drive it. By the time this alleged 2.5 engine comes out, I'll still have less than 5000 miles. The upgrade shouldn't cost me that much with the trade allowance. Will be interesting to see if this is really something happening.
