Well done. I paid 3k over MSRP for my 22N manual in NYC area. There was a lot of buyer competition at that time in my region so everyone was marking it up. Zero regrets of course. Congrats!
What a time to be alive. Respect these. I own a 2025 type r. Got it $200 under MSRP. You just have to call nationwide for the best deal and have patience. And yes, I have horrible dealership experience with Honda. I will never take my type r to Honda for service.
You were right in buying the Hyundai Elantra N over the Civic R. The Honda is way over-hyped and way overpriced. I number of years ago, when the Civic R came out, I was going to buy one of those, but when I went to my local dealership, they wanted $5000 over MSRP. I laughed in their faces! I went to Hyundai and bought a Veloster N with a manual transmission. I saved over $10,000 !!!!!! The car was great, reliable, fun, and extremely quick for a 4-cylinder turbo car. You made the right decision buying the Hyundai over the Honda! In 2024, I went to my local Acura dealer to buy an Integra S. I couldn't believe it, they were asking $52,000 for that car. Again, I laughed in the sales manager's tight-ass face. So for the last 5 months, every time I drive by that dealership, that same Integra S is still sitting there. LOL! Honda/Acura Dealerships are so full of themselves. They will be sitting on their over-priced Honda products until their new cars are 2 years old suffering from dealer-Rot! Such losers!
Nice deal!!! I ended up with a brand new 2023 WRX Premium with HK and a moon roof. Deal was just to good! $28,680 asking price and 0% for 72 months!!!!! 😮😮😮
@ yes, it was the last 2023 on their lot so it was really discounted. This was back in June 2024. I wanted WRB but they only had 24’s for way more so I settled on my white 2023. 🤷♂️
$28k? BS. A premium with HK and sunroof is roughly $38k msrp. And the dealers have to pay around $1000 to buy the rate to 0% for 72. You are basically saying that dealer sold the car around $11k under msrp. Probably lost around $8k on the deal.
Compatible to what i am seeing here in Georgia. Interest rates are out of control so you have to do what you can to get the "price" you desire. Looking at getting mine in March/April.
I purchased my 25 manual which stickered at 35,570 for 37k out the door with no trade or financing. I almost purchased the Type R at my local dealer at sticker but they tacked on a bunch of BS charges that added a couple of thousand for literally nothing. That rubs me wrong, and they could care less. The Elantra test drive convinced me it was what I wanted.
@@Gonin60 They wouldn't let me drive the type R. I said what if we put the deal together and I test drive it before I sign just to be sure the car drives ok..? Nope! I had spent about 100k on two Acuras from their sister dealership several months before this. They didn't care at all.
Man I think you made out great on this deal and for the performance being so close to the Type R I feel like you absolutely did the right thing! Can't wait to see all of your future content!
Congrats! I just finished paying off my family Sienna and I've been researching the Elantra N 6 speed for awhile and def looking to pick one up hopefully sometime this year...

Love it when people start spinning in the snow can't even get started up a hill with FWD and I just fly around them lol.
Congrats on the buy I was going to buy one on Performance Blue but the octane learning and that the dealer told me that I need to wait 5 months. Ended on the civic type r was above msrp for 1k but elantra is a nice car too hope you enjoy every second of the car.
In the past 2 years I've owned an MK8 Golf R, WRX TR, and now a SGP CTR. We all find our way. The wife is interested in a Cyber Gray N potentially in Spring. A great time for manuals, though time is limited.
These cars are great with a tune. You can get them to around 320 whp and never have to worry about octane learning. Now good luck with the Hyundai service department.
@@Gonin60 Yes, the clutch is fine at that level. In my experience, the service department is usually bad at Hyundai dealerships. I traded my car in within a year after dealing with a shitty service employee. I couldn't stand the thought of taking the car back to that dealership.

I know exactly the dealer you are talking about! Sad thing is they make awesome cars but I hate interacting them with here in UT. Did you get your type r from Roseville then?
Just dealership experience in general makes me not want to get a new vehicle. I started walking out on a 5 year old truck cause the salesman wouldn't stop trying to tack on bs charges. On a 5 year old vehicle. He came running at me when I was in the parking lot and agreed to what I wanted. If it wasn't for the fact I needed something ASAP I would have kept walking.
@Gonin60 You shouldn't have to fight and argue in buying anything. I'm all for getting rid of new car dealerships and buying directly from the manufacturer.
Nice. I got my 23N for $34,350, and they charged me $400 for the white paint. I didn't notice that charge on yours. I was happy with the price, either way. Plus I paid straight cash anyway. Great car! Even better when there's no payments :-0 Looking forward to watching your review on the Bose Audio. I personally think it's terrible. They did improve it a little with an over-the-air update. But on the 23, it's very under powered. I have a '11 KIA Optima SX and it has an Infiniti sound system. It blows this Bose out of the water at volume 3 or 4 where Bose is at 20. Sad
Owned a manual 2024. Was a really fun car. Get a resonator delete and it makes the exhaust a lot more fun. Octane learning and paint quality were my only complaints. Get front PPF or you’re going to have a ton of rock chips. I’ve also owned a couple Type Rs and the EN is honestly more fun. Don’t worry about everyone saying get a Type R. The EN has waaaaay better exhaust, better seats, way better stereo, handles just as good, digital dash is better. I’d take an EN over a Type R if I had to buy one of them again.
