Great to hear you Joe have a good time, I know I love my Elantra N 2024! This car is very scarce right now and no dealership is doing any trades with other dealers, so there is mission to find it. However the price is great, dealers sell at Market Value which is a ridiculous $7k mark up above MSRP, but a lil negotiation goes far. Very excited to tune my N these new few months:)
Great stuff as always. I have the 2023 model and love it. Was keen to see what the 2024 model is like. FYI, the blue light strip you spoke about is ambient lighting and you can change the colour if you want, at least in the model I have. And in Australia we have leather seats. No N light, but they are ventilated. As mentioned, it’s a great car for the cost.
It’s a nicely designed interior. I think doing a soft touch injection molded plastic on the top of the doors for a softer feel and a leather-ette material on the armrest and dash would have went a long way to make the interior a bit nicer. I think enthusiasts would pay an extra couple hundred dollars for these features if need be. Scrap the “oh crap handle as well, and offer at least electronic adjustments for the drivers seat.

I feel like the Integra Type S has the looks and performance, but the price just like the Civic Type R kills it. Hyundai is the best bargain, plus you get a sunroof and a great warranty.
A sunroof is actually something that lowers performance during hard cornering as it makes a car more top heavy. Why do you think carbon fiber roofs make a difference at the track. And good look trying to get Hyundai to honer the warranty without a hassle.
I just purchased a 24 Elantra n dct in cyber grey over the weekend loving this car it’s so gooood. Also Joe keep in mind Hyundai underrates these from the factory. There’s been plenty of dyno videos showing the car putting down its claimed hp/trq to the tire so the actual hp/trq is more like well…bmw. These also need to be octane learned to give the full 19-20psi otherwise they will only put out 15. The difference is like 40hp so it’s no slouch. When these ideal conditions are met with the dct it’s a very quick car. Next video you review on these take a look at the turbo, it’s massive and has plenty of headroom for aftermarket support.
Looks sharp ! Love the blue / red and it's a decent price. As always on any car get rid of vortex generators. Are they really worth the gimmicky look ? Thanks Joe
They Should add a air scoop on the rear of the hood to reduce temperatures and what modifications and tune can you do and how much more hp you can get.
When the gas pedal all he way to the floor, it rolls little bit and then takes off. I guess it's programmed this way for wheel hops, tire slips, and save clutch wear. 2024 EN manual is not like this, but at least they reduced some wheel hops on the manual version.
I've driven both. The Elantra in real world driving feels just as quick as the Acura. However, the Integra Type S felt better around corners, and of course the intangibles are that the Acura has a much better interior, and the build quality of the Acura just feels better. You get what you pay for, and yes even over the Civic Type R. If you just care about a fun to drive car with plenty of tech, and a good every day driver that will always put a smile on your face, the Elantra is a win. But personally I'd pay more for the Integra, also if you're an audiophile, you really can't do much better than the ELS sound system for the money.
@@vjd222You still got the best audio system amongst the sport compacts, and nothing the aftermarket can't fix. Being built in Japan is also a big point for the CTR. ITS is built in NA, and a lot of people have gotten ones with misaligned panels and parts.
@DragonKnightX12 true. 0 regrets getting the ctr over its. Especially w the seats. I don't mind the bass, but vocals and instruments get pretty muddy. But I also wear a set of Focal headphones all day so I think that just makes it sound worse when I get in lol. Will probably swap out the tweeters/ center speaker to start and go from there
Dealers near me want 60k out the door I was born and raised driving Acura and Hondas but for that price absolutely not so many other options out their at that price point I’d consider it 40k ish maybe.

Do we have to change the oil at a 1000 miles I've been hearing this crap on Reddit and on TH-cam to get the metal shavings out of the oil during break-in period
Great value, but I bought an integra type s - one of the best cars I have ever driven with incredible manual transmission. Could care less about sunroofs
Same here. I have a 95 Acura LS that came with a sunroof and I hardly use it. I don't even like opening the shade because I don't want the hot sun shining through.
If you don't need extra performance and excitement that comes with EN, Civic Si is not a bad choice. It all depends on what you need. As a daily driver, Civic Si is likely a better car.
@@bbokdoong Every car is a compromise. For me personally, the Si is the Goldilocks -- just right -- selection of things to prioritize and how well they executed, and for what price.
Awesome rim and tire setup. Blue exterior over red trim looks very nice. Very good stock exhaust setup. Cool and affordable sporty sedan. Is it better than an Integra Type S? Probably not but it isn't bad either.
I traded in my Type-S for the '24 N. Liked the Type-S, but being in my mid 40's I was getting exhausted by trying to perfect rolling into first from a stop-and I've been driving manuals since my teens. The Type-S and Type-R also both still suffer from gear grind from 1st to second under high load, the transmission does not like quick shifting under high rpm first to second. I was also constantly annoyed by the rattles in the Type-S interior. For a car with this price point, Acura dropped the ball on quality control. After owning the dct N for 5k km, I'm much much happier with it vs the Type-S. It's faster off the line, I'm not feathering and trying to perfect every roll out from a stop, no interior rattles with the N-and a lot easier on the bank account. For me, the N wins over everything comparable, even the faster Golf R. Golf R infotainment killed it for me. Hyundai did an amazing job with the Elantra N.
The Type-S sounds like my 95 Integra LS. Lol. My newer car a 2005 WRX is a far smoother and comfortable car to drive. However I did have to do some minor modifications including an ECU tune for it to drive that way. Now I barely need to accelerate to get it up to speed. When ever I need and extra punch the power can be surprising causing you to grip the steering wheel tighter as you hold on. I am also in my 40's and the WRX has suited me well all these years.
This generation N looks so much better. Front end design is aggressive and sporty. The wheel choice suits the body really well. Loving how the logo is flush with the body. If you can get this for MSRP, it's a steal.
From a die hard GM performance fan. My Camaro SS 6.2 6 speed is a blast to drive. Loud, big and mean…. This Hyundai really peaks my interest.. it seems like a fun car to just drive. I kinda want one.
The SS is an amazing car!! I think the EN would be an excellent second car to pair with it. It’s very nimble like the SS but it’s a bit more tossable due to weighing less. The engine is a 4-cylinder instead of V8 but it still sounds great for what it is and the exhaust pops/bangs are ADDICTING. Definitely look into it!!
This update looks so much better than the previous gen.. Also, this is a hell of a deal. Id take this over the integra type S all day, and I grew up as a honda guy. This is just a better value - the new type S is ugly, and missing tons of features for 55k
I get it but to me the CTR is the one that’s about squeezing out every tenth on the track. The Integra only makes sense if it gives back creature comforts, and for me the sunroof should be one of them. Just my take.
Regardless, a sunroof should be an option for those who want one. Every car I owned had a sunroof. My current one has a sunroof. I won't buy a car without it. It's my preference. Hyundai is giving their customers preferences with the Elantra. Not forced you in a box to drive a car with a hefty price tag, and it lacking on premium features, like a sunroof.
As I stated before, it's a PREFERENCE! Let those who want a sunroof live and enjoy the freedom having open air! You may like iPhone. I may like Android. Again, it's a PREFERENCE. This even shouldn't have to be a debate.
FYI ... A few weeks ago priced a '24 ELantra N 6MT and the dealer (Rosen in Kenosha) wanted $34.6K (N) + $2K (nonsense paint coating) + $0.5K (nonsense door guards) + T/L/Fees (and wouldn't budge on the price) and it was black so gave it a pass for the time being ...
I would take that in a heartbeat. In SoCal they are sold out in most places and the one place that had a few, was marking the base price up to 10k, plus the accessory BS up to 51k total out the door. I told em to get stuffed and they brought it down a bit but still wouldn't go lower than around 44-45k out the door...
It is a small thing, but noone has mentioned that the tow hook door is different on the 2024. I notice that tow hook door every time now bc between Discount Tire and the dealership, my tow hook was stolen. Always check your tow hook and engine covers when you leave a place where you received service.
@@boogiedownkid5465 Thanks for sharing that. I don't actually mind the sound of it, just not all the time, or late at night in my neighborhood. Other than that, I think it's a fun sound.
Had a manual 22 N. One of the best cars ive ever driven. Unfortunately the suspension is just way too stiff for my back and so i traded it in for something softer
You could had installed aftermarket suspension that you can adjust to your preference. I did just that on my 95 Integra. I can simply adjust the dampening of the shocks by turning a screw at the top of the shocks. It has 1-5 settings with 5 being the stiffest. I normally have it set to 3. But when I take it to the track I turn it up to 5.

Thanks Joe
24,000 miles on my 22 Elantra N, and it always puts a smile on my face
❤ Thank you Joe and Steven!❤
They Should add a air scoop on the rear of the hood to reduce temperatures and what modifications and tune can you do and how much more hp you can get.
Great video! ❤ WRX, Golf GTI, Elantra N, GR Corolla… big competition there. I think type R and type S are superior, they are at different level.
Yeah, different price level. Performance wise, not much difference.
This car is actually bada$$❤❤
Hyundai design wise has just evolved so much😮 Who’d have thought? ❤
You are so spot on Matt
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
When the gas pedal all he way to the floor, it rolls little bit and then takes off. I guess it's programmed this way for wheel hops, tire slips, and save clutch wear. 2024 EN manual is not like this, but at least they reduced some wheel hops on the manual version.
They upgraded the engine mounts to help with the shaking on launch
@@vroomgc yes, I know that.
DCT is not bad... but I think manual is better for ElaN. Anti theft + more fun
I totally agree. There is nothing like being able to control exactly how much power you want to send through the wheels.
Joe, it does have ambient lighting!
I wanna know how long you sat there Joe before you realized you left the heated seat on!!!!!
the refresh front end looks really nice. I'm actually thinking about buying one of these in that same color
I really wish we had that ELS in the Civic. I like everything about the Honda more besides that and the exhaust though
Will probably swap out the tweeters/ center speaker to start and go from there
@@vjd222 JL Audio or Boston acoustic will probably best replicate the sound you get from your focal headphones. In my opinion 😁
Dealers near me want 60k out the door I was born and raised driving Acura and Hondas but for that price absolutely not so many other options out their at that price point I’d consider it 40k ish maybe.
Love my Elantra N, biggest zonks are for sure the hard plastics, my elbows are killing me!
Sacrifices have to made for this price point. If they fixed the hard plastics, the car would cost more.
Im at 70,000 in my 22 Elantra N DCT and not a single problem just keep up with your maintenance. These cars are solid they aint your 90s-2000s crappy hyundai anymore
Daaaaamn someone was driving!

Love your car video
Test rode this and bought a Civic Si instead. Much nicer manual, interior touch ponts, fuel economy, and of course price.
Good call on that one.
What’s the difference with the other 2024 one you reviewed
Raiti is such a stud
This car is from outer space.. IT IS A SPACE SHIP !
Raiti’s keeping us on our toes. Never know what he’ll do next. On the sidewalk lol
Always have to go with a Honda/Acura.
Thanks for your vote Ted!
The real title of this video:
Why would you ever buy an Integra over this?
😂 I see what you did there!
The front looks a lot better than before. Don’t appreciate the road hummer blocking bar across the console.
10:35 That is the cars ambient lighting, it can be changed in the settings of the car!
Thank you
I traded in my Type-S for the '24 N.
How much did you pay for your Elantra n
The door indentations throw me off. I can't unsee them. Otherwise it's a nice looking car.
You nee to take one for a test drive!
The line under the vents is indeed ambient lighting, and the color can be changed to whatever you want. By default its blue.
Thanks for the heads up Michael!
This update looks so much better than the previous gen.. Also, this is a hell of a deal. Id take this over the integra type S all day, and I grew up as a honda guy. This is just a better value - the new type S is ugly, and missing tons of features for 55k
The best car. What about the limited version
What limited version?
The website of Hyundai has the 2024 limited version
@@switchipedegames The limited version is limited to the limited trim line.
Oh ok. I wasn't too sure
Exhaust on the N is a little much for me, but I can’t deny the value here! I also really wish the Type S had a sunroof.
Sunroof and sports car don’t mix.
Reduces chassis rigidity and raises center of gravity.
That is the main reason the ITS/CTR dont have one.
@@jraheemjefcoat429Acura has a car with your name. With everything you want.
TLX Type S
As I stated before, it's a PREFERENCE! Let those who want a sunroof live and enjoy the freedom having open air! You may like iPhone. I may like Android. Again, it's a PREFERENCE. This even shouldn't have to be a debate.
Hyundai is really killing it lately 👏 kudos Hyundai and Kia and Genesis
kia and hyundai are garbage
Don't be so beta contact more places 😂
I would take that in a heartbeat. In SoCal they are sold out in most places and the one place that had a few, was marking the base price up to 10k, plus the accessory BS up to 51k total out the door. I told em to get stuffed and they brought it down a bit but still wouldn't go lower than around 44-45k out the door...
And I just got mine in Intense Blue with M/T (2024)
It is a small thing, but noone has mentioned that the tow hook door is different on the 2024. I notice that tow hook door every time now bc between Discount Tire and the dealership, my tow hook was stolen. Always check your tow hook and engine covers when you leave a place where you received service.
Grest review.. I'd buy this if it didn't burp so loudly.. is there a way to disengage that??
Yes. Three levels of exhaust sounds. Car is extremely customizable. N owner here.
@@boogiedownkid5465 Thanks for sharing that. I don't actually mind the sound of it, just not all the time, or late at night in my neighborhood. Other than that, I think it's a fun sound.
Like how you put the type s on top…
That top of the door panel is hard as a Plastic Rock 😂😂😂
Comparing it to the ctr wouldve made more sense
Had a manual 22 N. One of the best cars ive ever driven. Unfortunately the suspension is just way too stiff for my back and so i traded it in for something softer
You could had installed aftermarket suspension that you can adjust to your preference.
I did just that on my 95 Integra. I can simply adjust the dampening of the shocks by turning a screw at the top of the shocks. It has 1-5 settings with 5 being the stiffest. I normally have it set to 3. But when I take it to the track I turn it up to 5.
