  • This is a "mock up" build. I do these builds for customers so that they have the basic shape of the final bike that they want, minus all the paint and final touches. Once the Mock-up build is completed, the bike is ready for final teardown and Powdercoating/Paint.
The seat and tail section used on this build is a complete kit that can be purchased from Tuffside -

Hey there, I was curious what frame hoop and seat you used? Im trying to go for a 2 seater cafe racer style. I think with a mild upsweep at the end, I might get the look Im going for but I also am worried about the wheel hitting the frame. In your experience, is that a common problem?

It appears I've forgotten to add those things to the description, and I will shortly. The Seat/Cafe "hump"/Frame loop were purchased as a "builders kit" from Tuffside. It's meant specifically for the XS650. You could probably squeeze two people on that seat, so long as they're umm....thin lol. Here's a link - www.tuffside.com/product-p/xs650_cafe.htm
It's generally a non-issue with regards to the wheel hitting the frame, but it depends on so many things. I almost always put longer rear shocks (at least 1" longer usually, sometimes 2" longer) on my builds so they don't have such a "raked out" look to them, so tire to frame clearance is never really an issue. If you go this route, the XS can easily handle an additional inch, and on my bratstyle XS650 build (my personal bike), the shocks were 1.5" longer than stock if I'm remembering correctly. Hope this helps. -Jimmy

What you want is a scrambler not a cafe.
