    I've gone to the effort of removing 3 ad breaks from this video, as when I played it back on my friends phone (I have YT Premium, no ads), I was incredibly irritated (and didn't realize) how many ads were previously in the video. Obviously this is going to hurt the amount of money I make from this video, so consider helping a brother out by dropping a like on the video and/or sharing this with a friend.

      bro do a single turbo in front of the engine below the gas tank with 2 front scoop for air or something it really bothers me the turbos and pipes stick out a lot it seems the legs dont feels confortable that way

      I've always heard that a mechanic (builder) is only as good as their tools...now I know there is SOME truth in that to an extent. But if you are inclined, intelligent, patient and knowledgeable Ive seen amazing work come from people who either just got into the hobby and don't have hundreds of expensive tools or people who simply don't believe in buying super expensive tools still create some amazing stuff. Now I will say having the right tools for a job will always prevail and make things a lot easier and probably put together a lot better, budget buy or not...

    I have a 1976 V1000 I-Convert, the automatic. It has a 'Hi' and 'Low' gear, "fast' and 'faster' I'm told....The person I bought it from says it's a retired police bike from the California Highway Patrol before they went Kawasucky. Look up 'Goose Patrol'. Ive been trying to put it back together for 4 years... I'M BUSY...But close considering I don't know anything about bikes, but learning from a big stack of books. I am an Italian and I can only be proud to see how the "Moto Guzzi" Eagle is appreciated even on the new continent and even becomes a cue for creativity by designers like you. Fitting a double turbo on a V65 and increasing its performance is not for everyone. But I wanted to make an observation, you were wrong to fit the same PHBH 30 Dell'Orto carburetor to power both cylinders, a »HS 40« DI MIKUNI carburettor would have been more suitable. Obviously this does not mean to detract from the great idea and its realization of a great project. Good boy

    • @DoctorMotorcycle
      @DoctorMotorcycle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      No, it wouldn't have ran better with an HS40 (which would've been WAY too big), the carb isn't a Dellorto, it's a Mikuni VM30, and it's not a v65, it's a v50.

    M8 nice job! I was always curious on how to turbocharge a carburated engine, since the main problem is that forcing air inside the carb makes the mixture leaner bc of various factors (for example that gas coming up from the bowl is at atmospheric pressure and without pressurizing it, it cant come up to the venturi properly). How did you solve that problem?

    • @user-mf2gr3cz6e
      @user-mf2gr3cz6e 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You pretty much need to refwrence the boost to maintain a certain pressure in the fuel feed line above the boost pressure

    • @ryanbabros7981
      @ryanbabros7981 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Late to the party, but you pressurize the carb booster diaphragm to match incoming boost pressures. This will prevent the system from leaning out. Or so they say. I'm doing a build on a 250 right now. I'll tell you how it goes.

    WOW! You sir have incredible vision and mad skills...And a NEW/HOTTER WELDER! I heard that right off! LOL Thanks for your turbo vids, especially the carb info. I too have tried and never gotten as far as you. Am I correct in thinking this has expanded into a whole new or different niche/business? Very impressive, thanks for motivating me back into the garage. Thanks! I look forward to learing more Doc.

    Hypnotizing! Now I want to buy an old 70's-80's bike to rebuild, and I don't even ride or have an interest bikes.
