Thank you :-))) Oh dear...been a while...took me a couple of days...I work very often on several paintings at the same time, whenever one is dry enough to apply some more colour I switch to it and the others have time to dry. Therefore I can not really say how long exactly it took me altogether unfortunately.

You are so inspiring and the way you explain things is fantastic!👌🏽Question about the rocks under water! ..Is the texture created by several different combinations of green and brown? Or is the texture made by the actual brush stroke? I know the brush can leave little guages in the paint revealing the underlying coat..making texture. I just cant tell because its so good! lol

Thanks a lot :-))) The rocks were done in one sitting without an underpainting (as you can see at 47 seconds into the video). And yes, the brush, a hard flat synthetic brush, helped to get in some structure. But I also toyed around with the thickness of the colour, as you can still see here an there some of the white of the canvas shining through.

There is just this one "trick" you need to apply - spending enough time in front of the easel :-))) Simple as that. Painting is a skill that takes a lot of time to develop...you can`t hop in and expect to paint like a masterpainter after one or two years...it just takes a long time to pick up all the skills you need. And even then you still have to battle hard to keep on crawling uphills :-))) But you can make it when you really stay on it!!!

Thanks a lot Helena :-))) I can adjust the thickness of the colour by using more or less medium - so there is no need to use transparant colours where I can`t manipulate the exact amount of transparency that I want to achieve on a certain spot. Much cheaper and easier this way ;-)))

Hi Debbie, I´m using here a pre-primed mdf plate that I buy here in Germany at a company called "Boesner". It`s a pretty cheap material that comes in all kind of sizes, I love it :-)))
