This is really great. Honestly, as I was playing through the first scenario of this game I had to tell everyone to stop because I just needed to appreciate how amazing it was. I love how it feels to be on the same team, how it feels to flip over a tile, flip over a minion, roll the minion dice.. hoping for the best... and preparing for the worst. How it feels to kill a minion in one huge attack, or how it feels to JUST make it. ...and then get to roll for loot and gain the rewards.. how it feels to roll high for loot and get something amazing.. a new card for your deck you'll get to use in all future sessions! So many high-five moments, stand up and shout moments... all the things you want in a game. Love that you made this video, I really think it helps lead people through all the different aspects of the game!
@joelface Sounds like you (and many others) have already found their favorite game of 2021! And there's nothing like a cooperative dice game to get everyone involved and excited about a game. Thanks for watching and sharing your game experience! :)
@Board Game Time It is an easy game to love ... even when the dice are not cooperating - just finished another game, and pretty sure the dice are mad at me about something. ;) Thanks for watching!
@nightwishpower Thanks for watching! I'll have to wait and see, with all the content I have already for the game, I'll need to check what else they will be adding. Looks like a TON of stuff. It hasn't been hitting the table much recently and I think I have more stuff than I already need. But with me, a couple weeks on KickStarter is always a test against my willpower ... and I typically lose. :)
I enjoyed watching your video and I absolutely love this game!! One thing I saw in the video, and I didn't see you address it via in game notes, or in the comments. At 1:02:01 after the second small straight the Rogue rolled, you correctly stated that they would deal 7 damage. Then you rolled your defense to save yourself 2 damage. However, you incorrectly stated that the damage received was 3 instead of 5. Didn't matter, you still won, but thought you should know.
Nice play as usual. I am loving this game so much. I’m looking forward to following your whole campaign. I lost track of what was going on in the shop phase, but it looked like you might have sold some of the cards you revealed from winning. You’re not allowed to sell those as you never bought them. You can only sell unidentified loot you got during the crawl or loot cards from your deck you already own.
I think I just sold the cards that were unidentified or identified ... but if I made a mistake, I'm sure karma from dice rolls will even everything out in the end. ;)
As always. Thanks for sharing. Great job. Entertaining play through. Didn't know about this game until recently. I typically prefer deck builders and not much of a dice chucker, but this game looks fun. The boss battles. I would probably miss abilities, or something, given that the boss has additional stuff to keep track of. But, that me. I don't know why, but I get in a rush and skip things. :-)
@Tony Bowers Thanks for watching! My favorite mechanic has been deck-building games for a long time ... but I really do enjoy a good dice chucker. And don't worry ... I miss abilities too, it's all fun and games, so while I do my best, I don't worry too much about the little mistakes. I keep it casual. ;)
@Hybban Thanks for watching! Not sure what shipping will be, but they are taking pre-orders at the publishers web-site ... shop.dicethrone.com/collections/all
Glad you are enjoying the game! "Alternatively", is optional ... either do the first thing, or the other thing. Hope that helps, and good luck on your adventure! :)
Hey Dale got a question Not sure if you have played much with pyromancer but dose her fire mastery count as a positive status effect like the other ones ? So for instance if I have a parasite do I have to take damage because I have fire mastery tokens or another instance if a minion or a boss that has a ability that effects my positive status ability will my fire mastery tokens count ? Im just abit confused if they are classed as the same + dmg status effect or different because they are a specific status effect for pyromancer ?
@wes They are considered positive effects. The type of effect, (positive/negative/ or other) should be listed under the ability name on the character card. Hope that helps, and good luck! :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer thanks for the answer, that makes it really hard to solo the adventure with pyromancer then because she relies on the fire mastery To deal big dmg, I’m currently doing a play thru with the barbarian and its a lot easier, have you got any suggestion on who else is good for solo play from season 1 ?
@@offdapace2627 I've only played it once campaign mode with the Barbarian. Started another campaign with my group, but we didn't get to far before other games got in the way. I know lots of people are showing scores with no losses, but that hasn't been my experience and assume some losses are going to happen. Good luck!
This looked very involved and confusing at first. However, as usual, it appears to be pretty easy to understand & looks really fun. My wallet is shaking considering they just released Marvel characters.
Great video! Very helpful...but could you really use transference here to move it to the Street Rat in your first fight? That is not a "Player" character, right? Wouldn't you have just discarded it in that case, if anything?
@cleverest I believe the "baddies" in this game count as players for the purposes of cards since the game was initially made to be player vs player. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching! :)
@RhedwineX Thanks for watching! I'm working my way through the campaign. As long as people continue to watch, I'll keep going. And thanks, I'll need some good luck with these dice! :)
Hi all. Thank you for this really helpfull video !!!! I've played solo mode with the Gunslinger. The two first scenarios. Won the first, with two health points left ... Defeated at the second scenario before the boss.... I was desapointed a lot. And i've not played the game after... Is the solo mode so difficult ? Or or too difficult with some caracters ?
I think going true solo, there are some characters that will do better than others. While I enjoyed the campaign, I mainly play the competitive version of the game. Good luck in your adventure!
@Born2Fight B I'm ready for my 1st attempt at Scenario 7 ... and wondering if the campaign log is going to have enough Sessions for me. I feel the dice are turning on me in hopes of this game having another Fallen Barbarian! ;)

@@DaletheCasualGamer Yes, in the third try. I was lucky with my Pyromancer and dealt a lot of damage. My paladin helped a little bit preventing damage to the Pyromancer.
Just finished your how to for this game and was wondering... when it comes to the defeated minions would it go back into the minion deck to be reshuffled and maybe encountered again or should I place it off to the side in a discard pile? I don’t think I saw you shuffle any back in and was just curious about that.
@Jetice Boi Thanks for watching! I don't recall the rulebook stating what to do (I may have missed something), but don't see an issue either way with shuffling back in or setting to the side. I have been setting defeated minions off to the side until the next adventure.

@Father Paolo, O.Pa. I think you misunderstood what I said. I stated that when you start or continue a campaign (i.e. when you are about to start a new crawl or boss battle) you shuffle the loot and minions. 100% agree that minions go to the bottom of the deck when they are defeated.
