Nicely done Colin! The Fallen Barbarian is a real challenge. Beating him on your first attempt without using a single salve is no easy feat! I've been playing this myself and really enjoying it. I must be since I'm here on TH-cam watching others to see how their heroes work and how their runs are going, haha. Very few content creators thus far are showing content beyond the Fallen Barbarian, so if you're up for it, I'd say people would love to see how things progress.
When the boss hit his ultimate, and you changed two of the dice, you gave him what he needed for a different attack but you could have picked 1 slash and one sun die which would have resulted in a failed roll. Despite this missplay you still beat him first try which is really impressive!
Your videos of DTA are what made me take the plunge and finally place my order for my own copy. I live in the Philippines so I've been a bit wary of doing the overseas order, but your playthroughs have been so fun to watch and I've been envious 😅 P.S. I appreciate the effort you've put into making these videos. I can only imagine the setup of having to update the camera angle and placing the dice tray so much each time you proceed through your turns. 😅

Those boss rolls! 😆 Absolutely hilarious. Loved the playthrough. Also, don't feel like you have to apologize for calling a ninjato a sword. Sword is common parlance. A lot of keyboard warriors out there. Haha.
Thanks for sharing. As always, a great playthrough. Question - (I didn't see this come up in your video.) On some Boss cards the ability is the 'Draw a Card' symbol. How does that play out? (I could not find the answer in the rules.) Thank You! in advance.
If the boss card ability includes drawing a new card, you first do everything on the initial card, then draw the new one and do everything on it as well. In general the boss cards that draw a card also provide some CP or healing to them, so it's awful (for us players) when they draw these.
@@OneStopCoopShop - The "Deal 5 Damage" is listed after the others and doesn't say "On.." before it. Note that the two previous "On.." conditions have a period at the end of them. The "Deal 5 Damage" listing is a separate entry. They probably should've placed that first to avoid confusion. Had to look closer, myself.

I don't think so? You just discard and redraw
On your defensive roll, if you gain a smoke bomb, can you play it right away?
I think so they are immediately available!
So I can't seem to find it, you would immediately play a boss battle portal crawl right after your first one?
The modes alternate: crawl 1, boss 1, crawl 2, boss 2, etc
