Suzuki Swift Sport Hybrid 48V: 0-100 acceleration, instrument cluster menus, start/stop system

  • The 2020 A2L Swift Sport Hybrid 48V performs excellent!
    The combination of the K14D combustion engine with 48V SHVS system accelerates way faster than Suzuki says. Official statement is 9.1 seconds for 0-100km/h.
    After some test runs, it was clear that the car is faster with traction control ON and shift before redline! This is because the Hybrid system only supports up to 5000rpm, so I decided to use this as a shift point. And the times improved! Letting the clutch slip a bit the first few meters helps as well ;)
    Let me know what you think or what else you would like to see!

    For all owners of a European Suzuki K14C engine; Suzuki has developed a new software for the Engine Control Module. This new software improves performance due to a less drastic power limitation when lower quality fuel is detected. It’s available at your official Suzuki dealership.

    great video, thank you.
    let me ask you some questions.
    1- is there any chance to disable that "start and stop" feature??
    2- when you are in first gear, moving the car below 15km/h, the engine is off???
    in first gear it seems to be faster than the k14c version, however above 5000 rpm is dead, like a turbo diesel.
    3- jugding by the way it looks, do you think the turbo is even smaller than in the k14c??? because i have heard the turbo is different.
    thank you.

      For daily usage, I would go with the K14D 48V without a doubt. The car feels like it has definitely more midrange torque and overal smooth driving. It’s better equipped and will be more efficient in fuel consumption.

    • @robertowen8281
      @robertowen8281 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Na it doesn't work exactly like that because you would have to lengthen 2nd gear reasonably significantly so it could hit 60 in second. That would mean that the torque at the wheels would be less for 2nd gear so it wouldn't accelerate as hard. It may help the time but you would loose a second or so from the longer gearing.
