It's a good idea to put the suspension as close to ride height before tightening down fasteners that go through bushings. If you are changing the ride height, you should loosen any fasteners that go through bushings and retighten at ride height, even if it is not necessary to loosen for removal and installation. This helps lessen stresses on the bushings and can prevent premature wear of the soft components of the bushing.
Thanks for the video. Doing anything the first time is daunting, even for experienced mechanics. It helps to have a quick watch just before doing the job.
I bought a Strutmaster kit and slapped it in my 98 MK VIII and love it. I like the ride better than those squishy air bags, not quite as firm as my 2009 P71, but very controlled.
@@123karismith let's just say were trying to check in with valued customers. That's great to hear that your kit is still working so well! Thanks for the reply.
@@Strutmasters i had a shop replace them because i didn't have the tools. It was nice to have the car level but I did miss the comfort of air Springs. I sold the car to my brother and he got rid of it himself
Be forwarned. If your car has never had suspension work done the bilts will NOT come out this easy. Breaker bars and a bottle of penetrating oil will be needed along with a back up mechanic just in case.

Probly nothing but was there an l on the strut you put on the passenger side? Are they different per side?

I wonder how you can keep the computer from putting error messages on the dash after the swap.
Super simple just flip the switch in the trunk
