Double entendre aside, he's right, changing rear shocks is a lot of fun for that very reason. Speaking from experience. At least the optional cargo net held a good amount of stuff and stuff didn't slide into the abyss below the windshield lol

With a 280hp V8, 8 seconds to 60 is pretty poor. My old '01 BMW 540i had 282hp and it could get to 60 in well under 6 seconds... Mind you it was a 6-spd manual.

OK - having owned one and driven the other car you referenced I have to point out a few *facts*. First, clearly this car was driven in the wet. If you want to see what 93 Mark VIII is capable of, check here: th-cam.com/video/xN4n6pq-6AI/w-d-xo.html Second, the 2003 540i 6-speed I drove is very much quicker than its 290 horsepower would suggest. I wouldn't be surprised if it was closer to 315-320hp.

      David G stock 0-60 is 6.6 seconds not 8

These cars do 6.5 to 7 second 0-60. So that isn't bad for a heavy car and shit gears with only 280 hp

This test wasn't in optimal conditions. The 93s were known to be the quickest out of the factory; that notwithstanding, this time was about a second slower than typical.
