This tutorial is the best because it actually shows you how to remove the stabilizers unlike the other so called tutorials.

40$ for stabs, really punches in the conviction that accessories for this hobby can be pretty overpriced.
I mean, it's like a couple of g's of plastic and some cheap metal. -.-
I think a good lube job gets most stabs alright. Personally I feel Durock v2's are as good as any.

bro I disassembled my board for 4 times cause I'm furious about my spacebar but after hearing yours it turns out that, that's the way it sounds with the kbdfans dyboox stabs and kbd67 lite. They are pretty good stabs imo didn't do any mod just traight up 205g0 and they are fine af. The only work really is the spacebar but overall good set of stabs.

on the long run the band aid disintegrates and you’ll have to retune your stabs again plus Holee Mod is kinda annoying, I find Epsi modding with KBDFans material much better as it is more resistant and easier to apply and yields similar results

I've taken to putting down parchment/baking/grease-proof paper when I'm lubing switches and stabs. Totally eliminates the risk of greasing up your desk or deskmat, can be found in any grocery store, is cheap, and disposable. Though you can reuse a length if you want, since it's more robust than wax paper.
