The loft conversion looks brilliant. Maybe, in the bathroom, for the spot where the chair is you should look in the Charity shops for a small shelf unit/cupboard that you could do a DIY upcycle & style. The rood windows/balconies are a great addition.

The flooring in the loft is lovely!…I could have cried when you said you were going to paint the bannister rail/spindles! 😂..Personally I would stain as such lovely wood! ..just think everything will be finished by Christmas can’t wait for the full reveal when everything finished! Xx

No don’t paint stained them slightly darker
I'm not sure if it will take stain well due to the wood but will investigate before I paint - I guess I could paint over stain if it doesn't turn out nice!
@@MrCarrington I think it will or hopefully especially if you try to have the same colour as the floors and a stair runner with gold or black hardware will be perfect 👌 lol I hope I am not too pushy. PS the loft looks amazing, your builders were 👌
I thought the same, especially as he said he wants to put down a runner. At least give us peaks of the beautiful wood 😅🙌🏼

Love this conversion. The stairs and flooring look great one thing to think about, instead of a shelf by the door try a tapestry or vintage kilm to help deaden the echo.
It's so lovely to see the almost finished loft conversion. Can't wait to see it decorated. A great space. X

I love absolutely everything in that loft!! You did such an amazing job of utilizing every square inch and thinking of what it can be used for over time with the electrical and storage as well. Those windows are the icing on the cake! Amazing! I encourage you to keep the mirror because I know from experience how much they make a space feel bigger and help the light from the windows bounce around the room, especially in the winter. It’s going to make the perfect studio for you and I can’t wait to see how you use it. I’m looking forward to seeing the remaining rooms as well! Great job! 😊
Been waiting for this. On the en-suite door you mite be able to paint fake panels on it. Great room x
Fantastic renovation! The windows are a game changer. I have a suggestion regarding your desk & position… if there is room, build/purchase a folding desk for that wall so when it’s opened it will face the windows. Build shelves into the sloped area (where you insisted on putting the outlet) to store all desk items when it’s closed. That way you will maximize your space for filming etc. 🙂
Everything is looking fabulous. Love the sliding door into your en suite.
I love the natural color of the stairs, it seems a shame to paint it, especially since it’s real oak.
A good varnish like boat varnish (which is really durable) might be nice too.
Looks like pine to me.
@@nataliebutler True, my bad he said solid wood and my mind translated that as solid oak, but it does look like pine indeed.
Thank you, the builders told me it wouldn't look great stained - but will do some research before doing any painting! :)

You should be able to get a square framed wooden thing with shelfs for beside your sink with a basket at the bottom, joint 2 in 1. Then you got your basket with shelfs above for wash bags, flannels etc.

Last time I checked in was when you were first emptying the storage in cluttered dark spaceless mess. With covid coverage I lost track of the progress here. Having done several large and medium homes I was always drawn to the top areas with their unique roofline variations and sense of wide overlooks. Thank you for doing this room as it has been totally engrossing and such a positive outcome of space usage. And that bathroom and window /skylight/ walkout is so well done. Kudos ,Kiddo.. If you could get it up the stairs, a smart sofa bed would make your office also a potential spare bedroom.
After a long day out, getting home I noticed your latest TH-cam video & what a great way for me to relax. The loft looks great now & seems to be bigger than before renovation. Looking forward to seeing it completed with all the finishing touches & other updates on house when done too.
Congrats Mr Carrington on the completion of your amazing loft. My favourite is the views from the windows that open up to a mini balcony. You are going to have many hours of enjoyment and worth it. The shower door and vanity basin is also so useful for storage as well as the extra storage space for all your xmas decor is great

Wow, those windows are amazing. The stair case is so lovely, we have carpeted the treads on our 1930's staircase and then waxed the handrails, newel posts and spindles, it brings out the beauty of the wood.

It looks lovely. They did a great job. You could have another cupboard the same size as your sink to the height of your sink. More storage and somewhere to put your bag. You could have a blind for privacy. Love the stairs. It seems a shame to paint. Looks good. I bet you are pleased
