Hi Sofia and James I hope your well, have loved finding your channel, and watching your journey so far. I'm so sorry for your loss, sending you both my heartfelt prayers and thoughts💕💞. I'm also very excited to be able to join you both on your very special journey together, also especially as I'm a disabled wheelchair user and getting ideas from yourselves regarding decor home accessaries that can also work for mixed ability people, while making your home both practical yet beautiful.😃👌🌈🤟
Hey Sonya! Aww thank you for watching and for your lovely comment! Yes!! That’s exactly our vibe and mission when it comes to this next phase of ‘pretty progress’. Can’t wait to share it with you!
hope James is recovered now with his legs so sorry to hear about the baby. You should both be very proud of yourselves you have done a great job on the bungalow these things will all make you stronger together. hugs xx
Thank you for your super kind comment! James is getting there, not 100% but I have a feeling this is going to be his year! You are so right! Equally very excited to start this next phase of the project with you all xx
Today was the first time watching your channel, and it was very emotional. It’s a wonderful house, and I am looking forward to the transformation. Kudos to you, young lady, for persevering through life’s difficulties. And, as you already know, life is better with a dog.
Thank you for such a lovely comment! Here’s hoping it won’t be as emotional going forward haha Little Indi has certainly turned our lives upside down in the best way!
We purchased a home that’s about 20yrs old, built from scratch by the previous owners as per their style. Although it’s not old, it is very dated. It’ll need some work and right now there’s no money unless we do it ourselves. I’m daunted but you gave me hope and courage. Looking to follow you and learn a trick or two from you Sofia (that’s also my mom’s name!) I can no longer find your apartment so hoping it’s sold!
Aww congratulations on buying your home project! It’s so exciting but understandably daunting. You’re throwing yourself into the unknown but, let me tell you, IT IS incredibly worth it! Thank you for your lovely comment :) The apartment is now sold! I’ll be back editing next week so I can update you all on the current progress 🥰 Aw it’s a great name!! Haha
Just discovered your channel this afternoon and have binge watched your reno playlist so I'm up to date. So sorry to hear about your baby loss. I have been there many times so you both have my sympathy. Indie will help fill that gap giving her lots of cuddles will help. Looking forward to seeing more as you get to the fun parts now. So excited for you.😊
Aww thank you for your lovely comments, and glad you enjoyed watching our project develop! It really does mean a lot! This next stage of the project will be worth the wait! Thanks again!!
I hope you are crazy proud of yourself! I’m always so impressed by the capabilities of women, and this encouraged me to do more or at least try.I’m so sorry for your loss! I’ve been there a few times. Sending you all the love. ❤️, the pup will help for sure.
Lovely catching up with you in this episode. Sorry to hear you news. I remember the same happening to me. I think getting your pup was the best thing to do. I'm astounded with all you've achieved and I look forward to seeing more. Make sure you both take lots of care xx
Aww thank you for your lovely comment!! We can’t imagine not having her in our lives now! She definitely keeps us on our toes 🐶🤣 I’m almost at the end of finishing this filler stage; goodness it’s taking a while but will be so worth it! Xx
I have just finished binge-watching all your bungalow videos in one day. Obviously, i really enjoyed them! I am so sorry for your loss. You two have had a lot of challenges in the past year so i'm glad you took a much needed break. When you are ready, i look forward to watching you two make this house into everything you've dreamed it could be. Wishing you the best from 🇨🇦.
Thanks for being patient! As you can imagine, we needed a bit of time to mentally deal with everything that has happened. But now! We’re ready to start this next stage of the process!
Great minds! That is exactly our plan in the ensuite (more on that in a video soon!) We’re also looking at ceiling tracks for James to go from the bedroom into the ensuite which could also lower him into either the bath or on the toilet!
In terms of ‘original features’, there weren’t that many to begin with as part of the property had been crashed into during WW2. We have kept the real wood flooring that was in the large living room space, but dado rails and skirting weren’t in great conditions sadly. As we’ve also widened the doorways, the original doors won’t fit. Moving into this next phase, we are eager to bring back the features that should be in a 1930s home! But for modern day living! Will the period features be original, no. But equally we want to do the property justice!
Hey Sarah! Thanks for commenting! We still have the apartment but the viewings are now starting to pick up which is a great feeling! Renovations are very dangerous haha but also therapeutic. We’re really happy knowing every surface and inch of this property! In terms of James’ legs, this is going to be an ongoing recovery process especially when he is dealing with his muscle-wasting disability as is. He might talk about it later in a video but it’s completely up to him!

Did you keep any original features?

What happened next? Its been a long time.
Did you sell the apartment yet? How the broken legs. Renovations are dangerous. Take care😁
