Hey Dr. V! I remember you saying in one of your older videos that you don’t monetize your channel. If you don’t already, you definitely should. You deserve to be paid for all of your hard work and useful information! Thank you for the helpful videos! 😊❤️

True. All of this work isn't easy as it seems to us viewers. It is like a job that requires dedication, persistence, and knowledge.
Even if you don't monetize skincare products, I hope you can promote or add ads to make a little money at least.

@@vanitarattan Hi Dr V, 2 years back I had perfect glass skin. I used to use only aloe vera on my face.
Then I decided to take 'care' of my skin, using indian brands. Now I have open pores, comedones, inflammation. 😭😭
      Please help Dr V.
I have a cupboard full of mama earth, dot and key, and the derma co products.
Can you please do a review?
I spent 10,000 on skincare products in the last 18 months. Now I am crying and feeling guilty.
I am ready to throw away all these products if you say.
But please do a review! 🙏🙏
Esp all the serums of mama earth,
And all products of derma co since they claim to be formulated by dermatologists.
      Please 😭🙏

I have been using CeraVe moisturizing cream for 5 months, the one in a big tub which you mentioned in your video; it is smooth, velvety and doesn't clog pores, love it. Thank you for recommending it (in your other videos).

Is the Cerave Moisturizer Cream have some feature like lotion? Bc I wear sunscreen after Cerave Moisturizer Cream, I don't trust moisturizer feature of sunscreen and I have oily skin. I am not sure am i do the right thing.

    • @guillandanthony711
      @guillandanthony711 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@beysa_e It‘s the Cerave lotion, not the cream. The lotion is oil-free and very good for acne prone skin. In the morning, wash your face, use a toner like the one from Paula‘s Choice and then apply the Cerave moisturizing lotion, After that, wait for a moment an then apply your sunscreen. I apply my sunscreen before breakfast and again after breakfast. Then every 2 hours.

I got the Cerave moisturizing cream because I damaged my skin barrier by over cleansing and using a cleanser that my skin didn't like plus it had fragrance in it. My dry skin didnt react so bad to cleansers that have fragrance before (use to cleanse my face with them all the time) but now my skin isn't tolerating that much fragrance in cleansers anymore and I'm getting itchy inflamed skin with new breakouts after each wash with my fragranced cleanser . So, i switched to cerave hydrating cream to foam cleanser and wow it reduced the redness for sure and I love how it provided my skin hydration while also cleansing it without stripping my skin. It even took off my light makeup and sunscreen off. I then use cerave moisturizing cream (the tub kind) and I apply on my face after hyaluronic acid . Feels so good and my skin is thanking me. The only reason I chose cerave was because I never knew what ceramides were and was intrigued after reading good reviews about cerave . This is my first time trying the cleanser and the cream which actually worked for my skin barrier and most of my breakouts reduced so much and my severly dry patches are now gone. I have yet to try Cetaphil skincare products though like the Cetaphil lotion for under makeup.

I would love to see an independent lab testing these products for accuracy. Also, Cerave has reformulated some of their products and removed some beneficial ingredients.

I am a living testimony of Dr V's work. I had 4 mandelic acid based peels from the hyperpigmentation clinic and had 100% success rate. I continue to use the lightenex gold serum formulated by Dr V's parents and she was the one who educated me about my skin and introduced me to sunscreen. I had my treatment in 2017 but 4 years later and my skin is still flawless. I had pregnancy induced melasma last year and the lightenex gold serum completely cleared it up. I also had the opportunity to meet Dr V and her mum when filming a testimonial for the hyperpigmentation clinic in 2018 and no I didn't cover up with foundation. Such humble people! I used to hide behind a mask of make up but you have given me my natural beauty and confidence back. Thank you so much to you and your parents!

Supergoop sunscreens. I know you do prefer mineral over chemical however I am of a dark complexion and I do not wear makeup so I have yet to find a mineral sunscreen that I can wear without looking casket ready. Supergoop does have some SPF 50s with three and four plus signs

I realized that I must have developed an allergy to Cereve moisturizer. It started burning my skin so I stopped using it. Started using their cleanser and it burned too. It got so bad that I had to use ice packs, it triggered a cold sore, and eventually had to treat for a bout a week with Benedryl and hydrocortisone, and lots and lots of sunscreen.

From what she says on her other videos it’s chemical which isn’t good, she prefers physical sunscreens and BGS is only spf 30. I asked her a question the other day because I use BGS as well but she said she would prefer even if we use chemical to use spf 50 or higher! I switched to Paula’s Choice SPF 50 (extra care non greasy spf 50) which is also chemical but when I tell you. It works AMAZING just like BGS but it’s spf 50!! Make the switch it’s Dr V approved and BLACK girl skin approved lol! Leaves NO CAST!

I’ve been following you for the past month and I am so much more conscientious with my skincare now! I mentioned to my derm that I wanted to start a retinol for some sun spots and she recommended I start with adapalene 0.1%. Can you pls comment on the safety of this ingredient for poc. On another note, any thoughts on the aa + panthenol from the ordinary?

Could you do a video on INCI ingredients to avoid for oily acne-prone skin? Many times when I want to buy a moisturiser, I'm not too sure if it contains ingredients that will clog my pores or cause breakouts. Just because the brand says it's non-comedogenic doesn't mean that it is actually non-comedogenic.

I enjoyed your perspective on both brands. I have found them to not be very good for the skin at all and very watered down. Every dermatologist that refers to me has these brands sent to them complimentary and so when they hand them out or recommend them to their clients their clients think they are the best for their skin. So many times they are used because the client is on medication or doing an invasive procedure. You need to make your own brand Dr V! 🙌🏻🍑Lisa
