shes also just saying what every other company says i.e. that her products are the best. vitamin c is pointless putting on the skin.. orally taking vitamin c is WAY cheaper and it DOES get to your skin. MOST OTC SKINCARE is pointless. when she was recommending hyaluronic acid.. it was POINTLESS back then too.. but it was made just for content it was already in many products. when she spoke about layering back then telling you how to layer 5 6 7 different products she knew damn well all of it after 2 or 3 was going to waste.
all you need is PRESCRIPTION tretinoin (not OTC retinol) she wont say that otherwise you wont buy her retinol products. SPF 50 broadspec PA++++ . a cleanser and a moisturiser . occasionally you can use a chemical peel. but the rest is all pointless unless its prescription acne treatment etc

Thank you for this updated video 💗🙏🏽 I've learned so much from you and have changed my skincare products because of what you taught me.
I look at skincare products totally different now and with a keen eye.
When I see social media influencers who are P.O.C.s promoting/selling skincare that isn't even good for their skin or their audience's skin, I give them a Bombastic Side-Eye because they literally have no idea what the hell they're selling.
Also, many POC influencers have natural beautiful skin, in addition to many of them being in their early 20s. So they sell skincare products to their audience claiming that the products are "the best", when in fact that influencer has beautiful skin due to their GENETICS and their age - not because of some skincare products that aren't even good for their skin! It's crazy out there in skincare land.
Thanks for everything you do! 💖 God bless ✨🥰

Any advice or videos possible where you have more than one issue?

I am a new subscriber, I have been binging on your videos and Dr Alexis Stephens videos. Thank you for making a difference and enlightening us about do’s and don’t’s for skin of color.
I am a Paula’s Choice user but have decided to incorporate some Colorscience, Naturium, Good Molecules and your Cera Pep Moisturizer and Inzincable.
I would say many people have gotten great results from The Ordinary and Good Molecules products, especially for hyperpigmentation issues. I really think they should continue if it is not harmful and worked for them. They are so affordable and millions would otherwise not have any options that worked.
Thank you for alerting us to The Ordinary, Good Molecules, The Inkey List, Naturium etc. Many of their products are safe, very affordable and actually WORK!!!. People who can’t afford the high price tags can still have great skin. Thanks!!!

You are my guru 😀 have been watching all yur videos. Recently i bought yur hyperpigmentation kit and i can see visible fading of pigmentation just after using it for two months. First of all CONGRATULATIONS Dr. Rattan!! I am forever grateful for your channel.
Question, what vehicle of tretinoin is best for skin of color? I have normal skin in terms of oil production for the most part with more oil on my cheeks? What strength is recommended as I've been using it for 2 months now & what over the counter products compliment a tretinoin routine? Combat small breakouts and hyperpigmentation. Thanks.

I Usually see Dr.V a lot more than other derma but I have a deep observation. For example for the past 3 years I have been using 10 % Niacinamide . And it has done wonders for me. Also I know many who are getting the most benefit out of it.
Why do I feel that Dr. V recommation has reduced to almost 0 of other brands / products and ends up advertising her own brand.
I am not saying that anything is wrong with that but there many many products that has done wonders to my skin( ended up having a glass skin) which are not recommended by Dr. V
I have highly respect for your knowledge but it's a strong feeling seeing alot of videos now . Same thing happens again and again.

Dr V, the Naturium Niacinamide you recommended and pictured has 12% pure Niacinamide not 2%. The 2% was the Zinc. Please clarify. I have reviewed the product info and your script which said 2% Niacinamide not 12%.

I came here to say the same thing! I was confused about it too. I googled it and saw that Naturium has a 3% Niacinamide “Essence” so maybe I’ll get that!

Plz de v kindly keep blessing us like this I don't what people like us especially from india would do or were without you. Our community in terms of skincare have been ignored the most and no one cared. You are the 1st one to tqlk about those things and you don't listen to those people indirectly bullying for having such high standards when it comes to fragrance and denatured alcohot and essential oils. They have not been in our shoes and can never understand the struggle both men and women face when it comes to our face.

Hello I’ve been using adapalene differin on my face for acne for a couple of months. As I have dry skin I slowly introduced this product on my face and I haven’t experienced any dryness or broken barrier issues. However, I haven’t seen any great results on my past acne spots. Is there anything I could use in combination with adapalene to have better results? Or do you suggest an alternative product?

Is it enough to use Nars tinted moisturiser as a sunscreen daily. Or do we still have to use a sunscreen separately.
