I am looking forward to not have all my characters standing in the middle of a void! Great video y'all! 😊
I'm standing in a void IRL. that's why I like to make my background art so detailed.
Except the Lord Jesus Christ as yur eternal savior. Accept that he is the son of God. Recognize that Jesus paid for all our sins. Don't forget That Jesus was resurrected three days after his death. He sits at the right hand of God. I'm glad I could tell you these things. I had to misspell because of the algorithm.
@@BaMAnimation as a beginner one of the issues I have come across Is having my lineart being undesirable its either too thick as compared to the character or too thin than I intended How do I go around this.
@@FrederickSmith-kf2jq Nobody asked you
You guys are the best resource for animation ‘edutainment’ on TH-cam
We are just a resource! there is lots of good info out there, we just like to present it in a certain way!
can you guys become 3d animators for two seconds and explain 3ds max this way because what the hellllll? 😭😭😭 this is so helpful and immensely fun to watch
Ah yes, another aspect of art I seriously need to stop procrastinating on learning and practicing.
I've missed your videos! As a chronic chracter-no-backgrounds artist, definitely needed this. You guys are the bestest ✨
cool video, d00ds! i am learning so much! pls post more, BaM!
Oooooo your videos are hilarious
are you going to add backgrounds to your animations now? 😁
Thank you UwU
@@BaMAnimation :D
@@bugxa probably not xD
Artificial intelligence will never replace artists, after all, we have one thing it doesn't, heart and creativity
It's been too long I'm so excited about this episode. I feel like painting Bgs at the final thing I'm missing in my journey.
Yooooo that's a sick background that y'all gave my character!! I really liked how y'all made it look, this was awesome!
Glad you liked it!
@BaMAnimation Hi, I am in school, and we use Animate cc. How relevant is Animate cc in your everyday life. I notice that most 2D animators just use Photoshop for most of the process.
man I get so depressed every time someone reminds me of AI art
same
dw ill clear you the stress by saying this:
No. AI "art" CANNOT nor EVER could replace art or artists. It's simply impossible as much as non-artists would love to tell you :>
@@Looong_Dog Thank you
@@jaxhopewatch scoot Christian sava, he is an amaizing supporting artist
I think the best quality of these tutorials is how even the nuances of the fundamentals are explained and explored not just a "this is the correct way to do it" vibe.
It makes me excited to learn and to create
Another banger! So much sacred knowledge jam packed into 20 mins. Also, here’s a photoshop tip for any type A hyper-organized freaks like me: instead of clipping lists of layers to one below, you can place that list into a masked group. The best feature of a masked group is that you can place it inside *another* masked group (you can do this infinitely!) Let’s say you used a masked group to paint a textured shadow. If you group and mask *that* you can non-destructively paint out a gradient so that your textured shadow fades away (without actually erasing your original shadow selection)
Thank you @laurenslair you're the best! I love masks! and adjustment layers too!
This is crazy. I honestly woke up this morning thinking "I sure would like to paint a background, but gosh I just dont know how".
Best tutorials for art by far. You have actually useful examples instead of just telling me what it is you are trying to convey.
You guys are the first instructors who are able to explain how to use photoshop to make art that makes sense to me. I can't possibly stress how incredible this is. Thank you.
Really effective lesson and useful for tons of different digital media projects. Brent & Max deliver another amazing video. Keep it up guys! You're crushing it.
„Max, MAX. THE CLONES ARE UNIONISING“ 😂 (omg, my humour is dead )
Wow, this is so helpful. Started artschool this year. And they are teaching us great thing on how to do research an work on process. But at the end of the day we have to figure most basic stuff and fundemental stuff out ourselves. This is really really helpful how to approach a piece practically! Especially for someone who is just starting out digitally
It's incredible how everytime i watch a video of you guys, my inspiration to draw and colorize gains new life! Thank you for making such a good quality content!
You guys are the best. Following your content has helped me a lot with my animated pilot. I now have the confidence to complete my backgrounds in the way I wanted to. Thank you!
BaM is a gold mine of a channel, I hope people realize how this content is much better than a lot of paid stuff out there, thanks a lot guys.
just remembered about this channel I used to love watching years ago and it's such a nice surprise that you guys are still up and with the same quality I loved about this channel. Serious thx for giving us so much knowledge for free and with a nice presentation
Another amazing episode! This channel is an absolute gold mine.
So much information packed into one vid! As someone who sometimes struggles with choosing the right colours, this video is an encyclopaedia of knowledge! Thanks BaM
I'm so excited to see another video from you! 😭 I love you guys. So much value. 💪
wow this video really makes me want to color things. u guys actually makes colouring look fun. ngl i hate colouring but now i have to jump back to my previous artworks and redo the colourings! thanks BaM!!
a new video, my day has been made. this was one of the best episodes I've always wanted to know how to color backgrounds without coloring every single thing in lol
very excited to see a new video from ya'll, i appreciate how straightforward you present the material and i don't have to keep fast forwarding through the fluff like other tutorials. thanks!!
Thank you for this breathe of fresh air. I am forever learning from you guys. Thank you thank you thank you!

Your videos are always truly enlightening and artist defining. I'd started another tutorial when I saw BAM had a cover on the topic, I quickly switched videos.
Amazing production quality as always!! Welcome back!
I really love your guys’ videos!
I’ve been watching since I was 15 and I just graduated art and animation school last month!
I still just as excited whenever you upload as I did 5 years ago
love every second of these videos! And I love that mushroom jacket, too, Max! Thanks, guys!!! You're the best!
This is hands down, the BEST video on backgrounds i've ever seen on youtube.
Such content packed vid. The commentary between the 2 of you makes it fun. Thx you!!!!
Every single video is so well made and applicable, thank you!
I wouldn't have guessed about quickly changing individual shapes with the color picker directly instead of pick and then paint with a brush. Makes a ton of sense why people would do it that way.
And of course the entire video is a treasure trove of knowledge.
This is exactly what I needed! Thank you so much!!!💜
Wow! This video is exactly what I needed! Thanks for creating it!
Fantastic! I feel so much better after watching your stuff. Thank you for the time and energy you put into it!!

I always love your videos Brent and Max. I'm pursuing to make cartoons of my own and these videos really help a lot! You guys put so much work into them and it's always appreciated!
Also sidenote: The fact you both use the Cintiq 22HD (the best tablet wacom's ever made is awesome)
Damn YT notifications! I saw quickly your launched a Premiere broadcasting, then back home no other notifications! Hopefully, I'm there and I can't wait to see this new video. y'all are so GD helpful! thank you for posting these videos.
I learned so much from this, You guys are amazing!
You lads are great. Love all your content!
Very cool video! I've been doing comic backgrounds for a bit now on my own projects. I work a little different than these methods but I think I get similar results. Only issue is my work is not very team friendly haha! (guilty of only naming folders, not layers) I'm inspired to try different methods and work on the "focus" mentality with my upcoming pages!
I'm student in animation and such videos are good oportunity to me practise my English and study new material about drawing. Thank you a lot, guys
Feeling pretty called out by Layer 73 Copy 4. Also this is one of the best videos I've seen on the topic. Can't wait to go through your other vids
