Great response & video James. Love your picks, classic after classic after classic. Might be cliché but my favorite is Creeping Death of 'Ride The Lightning' albeit the title track is indeed killer. Here's my list: 1. a-ha - Minor Earth Major Sky 2. Ministry - Filth Pig 3. Rammstein - Rosenrot 4. Accept - Metal Heart 5. AC/DC - Rock or Bust 6. Megadeth - Dystopia 7. David Bowie - Heroes 8. Really Really great response! Burn is am absolute classic! Arise is my favorite by Sepultura! That Entombed song and album are just fantastic!! Great video!
Great response there James. Some awesome songs you picked out like Burn, fantastic. With Seventh Son and Headless Cross all the songs are so good it's hard to single out one song from them but yeah the title songs are certainly strong.
I’ve never understood the hate that ‘Can I Play With Madness’ gets… I love that song! Great call with ‘Headless Cross’… that’s a brilliant track! Good to see you as always James!🤘🏻
Great selection of tracks there mr b another iron maiden title track for me is fear of the dark burn is a good choice recently picked up a couple of purple albums an that was one of them!
Excellent response to Thomas's thread, James. I like how you went old school for this one. Dokken, Metallica, Sepultura, Entombed, Nile, etc. GOOD stuff!
Seventh son is such a great album I couldn't say the title track is the best, same with Arise. Probably agree with you on the Priest one, which to me is their best album. Agree with Nile, so good - saw em on that tour - in a pub !!
A year or two ago, Seventh Son was one of my picks for Mike's thread. The one with the worst songs on the album, hahaha. My favorite would be Only The Good Die Young. I've never actually heard that Purple album, in fact I've never really heard any of their albums really. Quickly listened to the title track... James, I need that album! Haha. That track alone convinced me to pick it up next time I see it. Appreciate you jumping on the thread, though my wallet will disagree soon!
Haha. I guess that just goes to show how we all hear things differently. Yeah Burn is a great song and the album is good too. You're welcome mate and this was a great idea for a thread. Cheers mate 👍
First few that come to mind: 'Dr. Feelgood' - Motley Crue, 'Strength' - Enuff Z'Nuff, 'Seasons In The Abyss' - Slayer, 'Backstreet Symphony' - Thunder, 'Master Of Puppets' - Metallica and 'Vices' - Circus Of Power. There must be loads. Enjoyable watch as always, man.
Seventh Son is a fucking belter. Flawless album. Monster title track. Arise fucking rules. Phenomenal album. Wolverine Blues is fantastic. Symbolic isn'tvmy favourite, but Death hardly put a foot wrong. Black Seeds Of Vengeance is a phenomensl album too. Amazing! Don't think I have that Immortal one. Great stuff James!
Hi James!!!! cool list and honourable mentions too.... You can easily pick Accept's "Restless...." or "Balls..." both are masterpieces, also Deep Purple "Burn" or "Stormbringer" too. So cool to see Dokken's "Breaking...." that's an awesome and catchy tune. I think my favorite song from Maiden's SSoaSS is "infinte Dreams". Great Sabbath with T. Martin, btw are you going to get the boxset? cheers and be well
Hi Cristian. The Tony Martin boxest is arriving this weekend. Those Accept and Deep Purple title tracks are amazing aren't they. Agreed on Infinite Dreams, it's an amazing song. Thanks for watching mate

Sepultura - Arise 6. Exodus - Impact Is Imminent 7. Iron Maiden - Fear Of The Dark 8. Anthrax - Among The Living 9. Carcass - Heartwork 10. Nevermore - In Memory Cheers!!!
Yeah Ride The Lightning is such a great tune. Burn is a great album and the song is definitely one of the best classic rock songs out there. Cheers mate
Accept Balls to the Wall what an exceptional album and title track one of the best opening riffs ever , that album is loaded with great songs Love Child is also one of my favorites, Wish Udo and Wolf stayed together, Dokken Breaking the Chains love the title track and though I own the album it is kind of lackluster like you put it but damn that title track is phenomenal, the follow up albums is where Dokken put it all together with Tooth and Nail , Under Lock and Key and Back for the Attack is where it’s at , RATT and Dokken my two favorite bands besides Blizzard of Ozz with the original members Randy Rhoads , Ozzy Osbourne, Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake rip they are number one in my book and always will be , also on that Dokken album it’s in the American issue I believe on side B Paris is Burning the live version is excellent starts off with with blistering George Lynch solo , cheers Mr Boulder and Of Concrete Gods killer stuff 🤘🏻
That opening riff to Balls To The Wall is epic, great riff. Dokken definitely went on to make better albums after their debut. The original lineup of Ozzy's solo band was out of this world. Cheers for your support fella. It's very much appreciated. Thanks
Nice picks James, great response to Tom's thread! I love Ride the lightning, but there are a couple of tracks I love just a little more. 7th son is probably my least 80's Maiden album, but the title track is a good one. Arise is amazing, Dead embryonic cells is my favourite from that album though. Wolverine blues is great, I need to check out the whole album. I recently picked up Symbolic on CD, fantastic album but I haven't heard it in a while. Nile is a band I need to check out at some point. I've heard great things about that Immortal album, gotta give it a listen. Cheers man 😊🤘🏻
@@mrboulder9714 Yeah I really need to check them out, they've been on the list for a very long time. I'll get there eventually, cheers! You're welcome mate 😊🤘🏻
I agree Escape on Ride the Lightning is excellent and the title track is my favourite too. I'd go for The Clairvoyant on Seventh Son but I like the title track too and agree that Infinite Dreams is excellent, my favourite Maiden album. Could also go with Caught Somewhere in Time. Can't argue with Arise, great album. Could also have Beneath the Remains. Probably go for Hollowman on Wolverine Blues, cracking album. I'd add Souls of Black by Testament, Slowly We Rot by Obituary and In Search of Sanity by Onslaught off the top of my head.
Infinite dreams is my favorite song of seventh son. I would pick final frontier. I might even pick powerslave slightly over ancient Mariner but that would be just by a hair, powerslave is a perfect song love daves solo on that it gives me goosebumps.
Can't argue with Burn, but if I'm gonna pick Deep Purple it would definitely be Perfect Strangers as the title track, also....Among the Living is my all time favorite Anthrax song, Death Angel's Humanicide off the album of the same name, Machine head's Supercharger off that album and Sacred Reich's The American Way. All are the best songs on the album of the same name
Seventh son is my favorite maiden album, i don't understand how people call can i play with madness poppy or cheesey. It has great riffs and drums and great lyrics about a prophet/clairvoyant.
My Top 10 ____________ 10. Iron Maiden SSOASS 9. Municipal Waste - Fatal Feast 8. Toxik - World Circus 7. Nuclear Assault - Game Over 6. Dark Angel - Darkness Descends 5. Sacred Reich - Ignorance 4. Testornament - Into The Pit 3. Stone - No Anaesthesia 2. Exodus - Blood In Blood Out 1. Protector - A Shedding Of Skin

Savage Messiah - The Fateful Dark 07. Ninkharsag - The Dread March of Solemn Gods 08. Dio - Holy Diver 09. Annihilator - Set the World on Fire 10. Exodus - Pleasures of the Flesh
I agree 100% on Balls to the Wall. I love the song, but with out it the album is a 5/10. I'm not the biggest Accept fan. Some of the lyrics are just sexual cringe to me. But Wolf's then wife wrote the lyrics I think. I'm not a fan of sex in lyrics, it just feels like a pop/rock music thing. I feel like this is metal and we can do better lol. Part of the thing I liked about metal more then rock was I hate the sex, drugs, and Rock and Roll attitude. So when a metal band writes lyrics like "screw the girl who's next to you.", it just lowers the bar.

Judas Priest - Ram it Down, great track on a shit 2/10 album. I'm going to say Motorhead - Ace of Spades. Now this is a great record, and I'm sick of this song, but based on how many people cover it you'd think that it was the only song Motorhead ever wrote. Same could be said about Black Sabbath - Paranoid. Dio- Last in Line. Favorite Dio album, favorite Dio song. Dio- Killing the Dragon. I love this track and I think after Dream Evil this album is the closest thing he did to his classic era. Dio-Holy Diver. Dio-Sacred Heart. Lets face it, Dio always names his albums after the best song.
