Robbie Williams is a damn legend. Been filling stadiums since the 90’s as a member of Take That. He’s been in 🇦🇺 for months making a film about his life, with the producers of The Greatest Showman. I was one of the lucky few to get a ticket to Robbie’s show in Melbourne in May and had to rewind to the 90’s and pretend that we were back in the Take That days 😂😂😂 Robbie just announced a 25 years of hits tour - damn straight I’ll be doing both Melbourne shows, will be the 7th and 8th time I’ve seen him live! ❤️❤️❤️

The song Kids what he sang on this stage with Delta Goodrem the original version he sung it with Kylie Minogue in year 2000 but obviously Kylie was unavailable out of country in Europe recording an new album . Kylie did a kick ass version of Kids with Bono from U2 . John Farnham watched from hospital bed had has praised Robbie Williams for thoughtful tribute .

"Warney" is the nickname of Shane Warne, a famous sportsman (Cricket player) of Australia that died in March 2022 in Thailand. Also for scale refernce, the football field in AFL is huge compared to a NFL field, at about 170 yards long and 120 yards wide (varying from oval to oval). NFL fields are about 120 yards long and 50 yards wide Glad you loved the show as much as the live viewers did!
First met and saw Robbie when he was playing a promo gig in Mansfield (U.K) with Take That in 1992 to a crowd of maybe 100 people. Now he plays stadiums of 100,000. He’s a born entertainer, seen him live many times and he never disappoints. He knows how to work a crowd. Loved this pre-game performance and his tribute to Shane and John was a lovely touch.
They have both pre and half time entertainment. I've seen Robbie live in arenas and he's amazing! Highly entertaining and engaging. He's very popular in Australia. He has a pretty good voice. But it's always hard to judge that fairly in these outdoor stadiums, as they are notorious for having sound issues. I remember Darren Hayes sang at Mardi gras this year, his voice is flawless but he had sound issues which affected some of it too. I don't follow any football but it was the Sydney Swans Vs the Geelong Cats. I love that he dedicated songs to Shane Warne(who passed away in recent times) and John Farnham. I would have liked Delta sing You're the Voice with him. The song they sang together is "kids" which he originally recorded with Kylie Minogue.

This was such a fun performance by Robbie who is notoriously a great entertainer! He sounded fantastic given he was singing live (at least I don’t think there was anything prerecorded in his set). It’s so hard in a huge stadium that big and in the open air when so many things can go wrong in such a short performance. PLUS it also shows how hard You’re the voice is to sing! Robbie did a great job but John absolutely kills it everytime and no one can come close to his version - so happy to know he’s on the road to recovery and healing ❤️🩹 Next weekend I believe Jimmy Barnes (along with some other acts) will be performing at the Rugby League Grand Final in Sydney, so let’s hope Jimmys vocals are in top shape for that! Can’t wait to see him! I hope you get a chance to react to that too!!
Delta and Robbie were fire! No, he's not the biggest entertainer in Australia ... (we all know who that is!) but it was a worthy way to intro Let me Entertain you". Robbie is one of those performers who always makes it a party! The AFL Grand Final is attended by 100,000+ people. Then there's the viewing audience which goes all over the world. Yes! Definitley about having a good time and getting the crowd pumped for the big game. The MCG (arena where they played) is an awesome stadium! The game was between Geelong (J'long - Cats) and Sydney (Swans). Geelong won and the game itself was a bit of a blowout. Tina was a the rugby final. It doesn't compare ... unless you're a rugby supporter! 🤣The tribute to John was amazing, especially with the clip shown on the big screen! Get well Farnsy!

100,024 is the exact official seating capacity. It was a perfect sell out. Normally even on grand final day the attendance is like 100,017 or something. There’s often just a random couple of no-shows, but it was a truly full house

I'm a long time Robbie fan, well since he went solo and it's really interesting to see your lack of reaction to his megahits. I guess that really is why he ended up moving to the US to be not recognised at every turn. I've seen his stadium shows here in Australia and he's a great entertainer. You should check out his song writing credits as well.
It’s really hard to play at the Grand Final. I thought the acoustics could have been better, and there’s a lot of pressure to perform well in front of 90,000+ people and to be perfectly-timed (before the anthem and 2.30pm kick off). Robbie did amazing all things considered and was great how he paid tribute to Warney and John in hospital. Delta was great, though wish they had a better song for her. Overall pretty good!

100,024 people attended this year, Nic. Funny part is that 100.024 is the actual official capacity, not sure how that works but it was the largest AFL crowd in 50 years.
Bro next year you gotta start reviewing games during the season, guaranteed you’ll increase your subs by about 50-100k, the season proper starts in March, meanwhile you should watch the vid on what is AFL, Mason Cox who is from Texas his story is incredible, this way if you watch some vids before the next season starts you’ll be familiar with most of the rules

Robbie loves Australia, I saw him last August in Munich. There were 100,000 people there! At 48 he is a master of his craft. Not easy to fill up huge venues, but Robbie has loyal fans. I’m one of them.
There is usually an International personality performing at an AFL Grand Final and it has been a bit hit and miss (won’t mention names as that is disrespectful) over the years compared to the best NRL Grand Final performances where, as you know John has performed as has the glorious Tina Turner. The stadium holds 100,000 seated plus some more in corporate boxes etc. When there was a lot of standing room they once held over 120,000. Robbie is a favourite of mine ever since his boy band days in Take That. I love the song Angels which he wrote and dedicated to his late grandmother and at the game he dedicated it to the Cricket Worlds greatest spin bowler Mr Shane Warne who passed away suddenly in this year. Everyone has been saying this was the best pre-game concert in years. Shout out to Delta and the half time entertainment as well.
John has performed at the AFL GF on a few occasions, most recently in 2009 when he sang the Voice and was joined on stage by Jimmy Barnes and Mark Seymour from Hunters & Collectors.

I used to go to all the Melbourne games and even travelled interstate, but I only managed to get tickets to one GF and I can’t remember the entertainment except for RAAF jets over the MCG and that after we won, we all trundled over the bridge to the Tennis Centre where we (my daughter and myself) sang “We are the Champions of the World” with thousands of other members for hours.

I don’t think the US really has an equivalent of a Shane Warne. Cricket is a national sport, and he was an absolute icon of our national team. He was every bit as larger than life than a Michael Jordan, but he was on everyone’s team, not just the Bulls. His untimely death came out of nowhere, and it’s a mark of how widely regarded he was internationally that all international teams marked moments of silence and wore black mourning armbands in his honour. Great to see Chong Lim out there on keys for You’re the Voice too. Second time this performance has made me cry in three days

I think the nicest touch was having Chong Lim on stage. Chong is John's music director on and he definitely did the Farnham Band proud.

The song Kids what he sang on this stage with Delta Goodrem the original version he sung it with Kylie Minogue in year 2000 but obviously Kylie was unavailable out of country in Europe recording an new album .
Kylie did a kick ass version of Kids with Bono from U2 .
John Farnham watched from hospital bed had has praised Robbie Williams for thoughtful tribute .
Farnsey and Delta are among a handful who will still stay pitch perfect while doing this sort of entertainment.

Shane Warne was one of Australia’s and the world’s best spin bowlers in the game of cricket who passed away earlier this year of a heart attack. The three people who sat above the Shane Warne Stand were his three kids.
I was lucky enough to see Robbie Williams in Concert in Adelaide about 13 yrs ago still to this day one of the best concerts EVER!

"Warney" is the nickname of Shane Warne, a famous sportsman (Cricket player) of Australia that died in March 2022 in Thailand.
Also for scale refernce, the football field in AFL is huge compared to a NFL field, at about 170 yards long and 120 yards wide (varying from oval to oval). NFL fields are about 120 yards long and 50 yards wide

First met and saw Robbie when he was playing a promo gig in Mansfield (U.K) with Take That in 1992 to a crowd of maybe 100 people. Now he plays stadiums of 100,000. He’s a born entertainer, seen him live many times and he never disappoints. He knows how to work a crowd. Loved this pre-game performance and his tribute to Shane and John was a lovely touch.
They have both pre and half time entertainment. I've seen Robbie live in arenas and he's amazing! Highly entertaining and engaging. He's very popular in Australia.
He has a pretty good voice. But it's always hard to judge that fairly in these outdoor stadiums, as they are notorious for having sound issues. I remember Darren Hayes sang at Mardi gras this year, his voice is flawless but he had sound issues which affected some of it too.
I don't follow any football but it was the Sydney Swans Vs the Geelong Cats.
I love that he dedicated songs to Shane Warne(who passed away in recent times) and John Farnham. I would have liked Delta sing You're the Voice with him.

Robbie Williams is English and lives in America, but has been really popular in Australia for 25 years. He's 48 now. I saw him in 2003 when he was in his late 20s and he was amazing, a true showman.
Awesome performance from Robbie and the backing band. So entertaining. The tributes were also a great gesture and very much appreciated.
This was such a fun performance by Robbie who is notoriously a great entertainer! He sounded fantastic given he was singing live (at least I don’t think there was anything prerecorded in his set). It’s so hard in a huge stadium that big and in the open air when so many things can go wrong in such a short performance.
PLUS it also shows how hard You’re the voice is to sing! Robbie did a great job but John absolutely kills it everytime and no one can come close to his version - so happy to know he’s on the road to recovery and healing ❤️🩹
Next weekend I believe Jimmy Barnes (along with some other acts) will be performing at the Rugby League Grand Final in Sydney, so let’s hope Jimmys vocals are in top shape for that! Can’t wait to see him! I hope you get a chance to react to that too!!

Delta and Robbie were fire! No, he's not the biggest entertainer in Australia ... (we all know who that is!) but it was a worthy way to intro Let me Entertain you". Robbie is one of those performers who always makes it a party! The AFL Grand Final is attended by 100,000+ people. Then there's the viewing audience which goes all over the world. Yes! Definitley about having a good time and getting the crowd pumped for the big game. The MCG (arena where they played) is an awesome stadium! The game was between Geelong (J'long - Cats) and Sydney (Swans). Geelong won and the game itself was a bit of a blowout. Tina was a the rugby final. It doesn't compare ... unless you're a rugby supporter! 🤣The tribute to John was amazing, especially with the clip shown on the big screen! Get well Farnsy!

100,024 is the exact official seating capacity. It was a perfect sell out. Normally even on grand final day the attendance is like 100,017 or something. There’s often just a random couple of no-shows, but it was a truly full house
Robbie is English he started out with Take That boy band back in 90s he was the wild boy of the band…he was huge when he went out on he’s own he puts on a great show he been quite for a while as he got married and having kids he’s about to release a new album and tour Australia next year in the new year his has some great songs especially Angels.. John sent out a message saying he watched this (he always watches the grand final) from his hospital bed and was really touched that they did this tribute! John is so humble (I know that first hand as he was completely stoked I left my 2 day old baby in the maternity ward to have lunch with him 1995) Any and All accolades really fill him with warmth, happiness, and love! 💖
Sadly I'm not convinced Robbie has the ability to do John's Songs justice! He is a 48yo English performer, big in the 1990s ... and in my books forgettable in comparison to John.
But it does show you just how strong and brilliant John's ability to sing/perform is!

I'm a long time Robbie fan, well since he went solo and it's really interesting to see your lack of reaction to his megahits. I guess that really is why he ended up moving to the US to be not recognised at every turn. I've seen his stadium shows here in Australia and he's a great entertainer. You should check out his song writing credits as well.
Robbie Williams is a brilliant entertainer. He also has a lot of respect for other artists and their talents.
It’s really hard to play at the Grand Final. I thought the acoustics could have been better, and there’s a lot of pressure to perform well in front of 90,000+ people and to be perfectly-timed (before the anthem and 2.30pm kick off). Robbie did amazing all things considered and was great how he paid tribute to Warney and John in hospital. Delta was great, though wish they had a better song for her. Overall pretty good!

100,024 people attended this year, Nic. Funny part is that 100.024 is the actual official capacity, not sure how that works but it was the largest AFL crowd in 50 years.
Bro next year you gotta start reviewing games during the season, guaranteed you’ll increase your subs by about 50-100k, the season proper starts in March, meanwhile you should watch the vid on what is AFL, Mason Cox who is from Texas his story is incredible, this way if you watch some vids before the next season starts you’ll be familiar with most of the rules

Robbie Williams is a very successful English singer who has had a lot of hits. A showman and a bit of a naughty boy although he settled down once he got married and had children. He lives with his family in LA these days. I love that he paid tribute to John Farnham. Thanks for your interest.
MCG capacity is around 105,000 years ago there was 120,000 people at a grand final before the ground capacity was reduced
Shane Warne was an Australian Cricketer. Regarded as one of the world's best. Shane died suddenly of a heart attack earlier this year. Robbie was friends with Shane.

Robbie loves Australia, I saw him last August in Munich. There were 100,000 people there! At 48 he is a master of his craft. Not easy to fill up huge venues, but Robbie has loyal fans. I’m one of them.
There is usually an International personality performing at an AFL Grand Final and it has been a bit hit and miss (won’t mention names as that is disrespectful) over the years compared to the best NRL Grand Final performances where, as you know John has performed as has the glorious Tina Turner. The stadium holds 100,000 seated plus some more in corporate boxes etc. When there was a lot of standing room they once held over 120,000. Robbie is a favourite of mine ever since his boy band days in Take That. I love the song Angels which he wrote and dedicated to his late grandmother and at the game he dedicated it to the Cricket Worlds greatest spin bowler Mr Shane Warne who passed away suddenly in this year. Everyone has been saying this was the best pre-game concert in years. Shout out to Delta and the half time entertainment as well.
John has performed at the AFL GF on a few occasions, most recently in 2009 when he sang the Voice and was joined on stage by Jimmy Barnes and Mark Seymour from Hunters & Collectors.

I used to go to all the Melbourne games and even travelled interstate, but I only managed to get tickets to one GF and I can’t remember the entertainment except for RAAF jets over the MCG and that after we won, we all trundled over the bridge to the Tennis Centre where we (my daughter and myself) sang “We are the Champions of the World” with thousands of other members for hours.

I don’t think the US really has an equivalent of a Shane Warne. Cricket is a national sport, and he was an absolute icon of our national team. He was every bit as larger than life than a Michael Jordan, but he was on everyone’s team, not just the Bulls. His untimely death came out of nowhere, and it’s a mark of how widely regarded he was internationally that all international teams marked moments of silence and wore black mourning armbands in his honour.
